1.8L Mazda Miata Racing Beat power pulse cat back sound clip

This is a really quiet exhaust. It's like stock and slightly louder when it revs higher. It's on a 95 1.8l stock motor with oem cat. Also the exhaust knocks onto the rear passenger "tow hook" area and also the brace for the 1.8.

I realize you wrote that a year ago.. but your average glasspack makes a great resonator, while at the same time deepening the tone, reducing rasp, and often times reduces drone as well. Rule of thumb, the longer you can fit, the more it'll do the above.

@zzz4488 hmm I still think it's a great exhaust. Perfect for the 1.6L if you don't want something loud. I'm coming from a b18c1 civic with buddyclub spec II and Spoon N1 exhausts, so it's more of a preference. If you like moderate loud, then no.

Can you hear it hit the bracing, or is it a non issue? I just don't want to hear a rattle while I'm cruising 70mph down the freeway.

Can anybody point me to a vid of this exhaust, again on the 1.8L, but with a supercharger? My 100k old Borla's a touch loud since the MP62 went in. Will try the glasspack trick first, but am thinking it might be the right time to try something completely new.
