Am using bamboo toothbrushes for past 2 years. But recently I got to know through a dentist that bristles in bamboo toothbrushes will ruin our gums. Is there any solution for that?
Hi Akshaya.. im not sure that's true. Most dentists are not really updated on these latest items that are available. Even Colgate had recently released bamboo toothbrush. Even I have been using bamboo toothbrush for a long time. And never had any gum issues. Just try and see if you can find bamboo brushes with soft bristles. :)
@@akshayakumar3 use any toothbrush but please use it as gentle as you can ....and if you are. Afraid to use it ...use dant mantan with fingers and you can also use neem stem or babool stem as datoon

Great video! Full of useful tips. I had definitely not heard of bioenzyme for cleaning toilet, or the wooden cleaning brush. Neither of the bamboo floss! Love how you covered every aspect of the bathroom, right down to towel! Keep going!

Hi nayana.. I started my sustainable lifestyle very recently.. I was inspired by u n have started it.. infact I thought of making videos of it in my regional language..
But I had to tell u its really difficult to start tis journey in Chennai where it's near to impossible to get access to certain things..
Hi babe, it isnt actually as hard as you might think, in Chennai. Currently during lockdown, it might not be easy. But once it's over, check out a shop called Eco Indian in Chennai which is a Zero Waste Store. You can definitely find a lot of products there. 😊

Don't the toothbrushes have plastic bristles..?
Not all of them have nylon bristles. There are some which are made of bamboo fibers too.

I think if we want to zero waste life then we have to shop them locally as online shopping create so many wase due to packaging.
Yes, shopping locally is best. But sadly, a LOT of Zero-waste products are only available locally in Tier-1 cities as of now. Even a bamboo toothbrush is hard to find in stores in most cities.
I'm hopeful that as demand increases even the Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities will have these available locally. Until then, online may be the only options for some. 😔

I really liked the video and also the products...but luks like the flower pot which is displayed in the corner is of plastic. Not sure..
Most of the product links you've mentioned are from amazon and amazon packaging generates so much plastic and paper waste. That doesn't really serve the purpose of 'zero waste' though
Some of these products are only available in Amazon and I also donate all the money I make from these links to an Animal shelter. I’m not a fan of Amazon either and I did check Flipkart for all of these which weren’t available there. And hence I chose Amazon. Trying to atleast put the money to good use.
@@NayanaPremnath I'm not trying to imply that you make money off of the amazon links. But an alternative brand suggestion which actually focuses on greener packaging would be great. But since its your channel, its all upto you and I don't want to impose :)
You have Amazon links and Amazon packages everything in plastic. That defeats the purpose.
Actually, I had recently(in the last few months) purchased a few items from there and some of them came without any packaging at all(not even a cardboard box). And some with cardboard and paper inside. One can opt for sustainable packaging from Amazon by chatting and requesting for it. Especially if any of the items are packed by them itself, they do send it with minimal packaging lately.
