What videos would you like to see on my Channel? Comment below and let me know. 😄
Zero waste video
Can you also include a list of second hand online shops that you were talking about. And also can you do a video on e waste recycling if you have any idea. Mobiles or laptops or old headphones, batteries etc which is spoiled/ after use, how can we discard it?
@Rose Rose Lol. Why not start drinking milk from a monkey then? That’s closest to a human species! 😂 Your education system is just so sad. Why stop at monkey? Why not a lioness, a deer and more. They all produce milk too. Why only cows? Because they told you they’re your birthright? 😅
@Rose Rose Who said I need to drink milk from plants? I can happily not drink that milk either. I drink plant based milk because the shit I was taught as a kid made me addicted to cows milk for all of my life and to get out of that addiction, the closest is the plant milk. Also, try googling sentience🤗 I don’t kill or hurt a being that can actually feel pain for my food or beverages, unlike you. Please don’t be dumb enough to say plants feel pain. If you do, you really need to find a different school for yourself and go once again to learn basics of science. 😆
I'm using amla , reetha , sikakayi as a shampoo and besan as a face cleanser🤗
That's definitely a good DIY option, for sure. 👍👍👍
It’s really good to see people like you promoting zero waste lifestyle. I’m new into zero waste and have swapped many items for their zero waste alternatives . Keep up the good work👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you so much Deepti. I'm glad to hear that you've also joined this lifestyle. ❤❤
Hi... I am a beginner n desperately wants to follow zero waste lifestyle.... Found it so hard sometimes when everything around u is in plastic packaging.... N very limited or no options for taking something loose... Love the concept of 2 nd hand things... N trying to follow that too... But I am surprised that there r sites too that promote second hand things... Plz do mention if possible.
The video is so aesthetically pleasing and helpful...plus it shows Nayana's voiceover skills too. Loved it❤️
Thank you so much Aastha. So sweet of you to say that. 🥰
Very nice video. Definitely going to take some ideas from here. Keep up the good work.
I've been following a zero waste lifestyle for the last 2 years but ofcourse there are days i fail. All your tips and suggestions are so simple and easy to follow by many! Keep up the good work Nayana

I’m so happy to hear that Tanuvi 🥰🥰🥰
Also Nayana could do a video on shampoo bars available in the markert. What do you intend do with the glass bottles. The shampoo caps are often plastic
The way you presented is very eye catching!
Thank you so much Sreshta 🥰
It is a beautifully made one stop video for all the zero waste essential products.. Loved your voice too mam
Thank you so much Debadrita.. thats exactly what I was hoping to create. 😊
Great di! I have always wanted to do something for reducing waste, by watching these videos I am starting and try to lead a zero waste lifestyle.

I’m super glad to hear that Puja. I hope you become successful soon at leading a more sustainable life. 😊
Quite a helpful video🤩I have been already using some of the alternatives and yes I really wanted alternatives for shampoo and soap, thank you for that❤️
Shampoo bars are great alternatives and these days a lot of them are available too. 😃
I accidentally bumped into your video and I am so much in love with it.. Very informative one... I am a beginner and I always carry cloth bags and I use steel and glass wares only.. planning to shift to other things too👍👍
Thank you so much Rekha. It makes me so happy to hear that. 🥰
Hey, it's a great video
I am 18 and i use menstrual cup and always use cloth bags while going shopping and will definitely go for these eco-friendly changes too.
Hi Ambika.. so glad to see that you’re opting for Ecofriendly products at 18.. makes one feel hope for the future!🤗
Doing great work 👍 really inspiring.. suggest something on fabric recycling ..
Check out Dwij or Rimagined where they upcycle your fabric into new products. :)
Neem stick is best alternative for toothpaste and toothbrush
Green gram powder instead of soap
My grandmother is always used
Such a beautifully made video :)
Thank you so much Prasanna! I hope you found it useful. ☺😊
Hey can you let us know your favourite thrift stores as I didn't know we could thrift shop online in India?
Loved the video, exactly what I wanted , but you should make another one on making compost by food wastes
I already have one on that. Kindly search for ‘Composting Nayana Premnath’ And you’ll see the video :)
Thanks a lot for the information mam. 🙏🏻
You're very much welcome Shiva! 😊
Hii nayana, I want to know about coconut coir dish scrub
Is it workable on hard stain vessels?
I'm using steel scrbber for hard stain
And durability of scrubber?
I appreciate your dedication Ma'am
Thank you ah-so-mucj Sakshi. Means a lot. 😘
Hii.... could you please provide the names or links of zero waste eco friendly toothpaste or toothpowder
Admirable job 👌👌👍
Thank you so much :)
Hello Nayana.. Thanks for the video.
Can you share any ideas to dispose medicine strips, as my parents are aged and consume lots of tablets, and we are clueless on the strips left over. I googled it lot, but I can see only re-using it by making some some home decor items out of it.
My creative skills are very poor and also I don't have enough time for the same.
Wow.really appreciate your efforts 👍
Thanks a lot 😊😊😊
I really like ur channel
U encourage the younger generation to help make a change (or at least me)😁
Keep up the good work 👍👍
Thank you, I will definitely do that! :)
Wow.. inspiring
thank you so much :)
Can you please give me the link of this body butter 🙏
Loved the video🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so so much Vidya! 🥰
Really appreciate your efforts for trying to educate about zero waste. It's actually nothing new but somehow gradually we have moved on to things that are easily accessible and mess free to carry... Remember our childhood or our parents childhood when all they used was home made stuff for personal care and hygiene. Never did they face any problem. It's the commercialization and glorification of these chemical filled products in the name of health and hygiene that has hypnotised our minds to believing all that crap as the smart alternative of natural products... Just go back to our roots and we will do a great service to the planet and our mother nature.🙏🙏🙏
Great to see our organic and washable cloth pads in your video! Come join the cloth pad revolution! :D
Are you a Beginner to Zero-Waste Living? If not, how long have you been practising? It's been 2 years for me!
I'm a complete beginner. I hv started using bamboo toothbrush and now working on shifting to menstrual cup. Really love ur videos❤ can you made a video on second clothing and affordable sustainable clothing brands in India?
Hi Divya, will definitely make one on that soon. :) I already have one where I shopped second hand and even did a haul from it. 😁
I have been trying to adopt zero waste lifestyle or minimal waste lifestyle if not zero since a year now :) I have completely stopped using any shampoo and conditioner instead switch to herbal hair wash powder and natural ubtan powder for body wash, I am also using all natural dish wash powder you can check Pracheenvidhan insta handle for all natural products... also using tooth powder from Kalyashastra .., and juicy chemistry all natural sustainable packaging deodorant stick hope I will get much better with time Thanks for the wonderful video 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hey can you please tell me which brands bamboo toothbrush are you using??
Because I ordered bamboo toothbrush from brand terrabrush and it didnt lasted even for a week😑
Hii nayana what would you do with the plastic cap of the facewash??
That will go for recycling.
Very useful video. Pl do share the link of shampoo and conditioner bar
Hey Malu! Will share the links to all the products in this video, in a short while. 🥰
Hey, I've added the links needed. :)
@@NayanaPremnath Thank you

Your Welcome Nayana Mam :-)

Thank you so much Pratibha, this means a lot to me.
Hey loved your channel concept. Can you plz do a video where you can probably give us addresses of shops or tailors which can recycle our old clothes or sarees into paintings/rugs/similar??
Hey! Do check out Rimagined! They upcycle old cloth into rugs definitely!
@@NayanaPremnath Thank you so much 😃
I always wanted to do a zero waste living, but I thought that its verrryy difficult to do that in India. She proved me wrong☺️
It definitely isn't Karthika..our India used to be one of the most sustainable ones in the earlier times. And it just takes some mindfulness to go back to those practices. :)
Love from Hyderabad 💜💜💜
Love back at your from Bangalore!🥰🥰🥰
Nice one 👍
Thank you so much Harini. 😃
How do we clean stainless steel straw?
You usually get a brush along with the straw for the cleaning purpose.
Which body butter do you use ma.
I use one from a brand known a Scentora. :)
What to do with bamboo brushes and aluminium once I'm done using them?
Pluck the bristles out and put them in an Ecobrick. Use the bamboo body for your garden to write down names of plants or you can just compost it as it’s fully compostable. When it comes to aluminium, send it for recycling.
You are ultimate
Thank you so much☺️
Hi, i am trying to move towards sustainable life. But really difficult to find products. Can you please leave links for all the products you mentioned in the video. Like toothpaste links
Even I want to buy these products.. but why these bamboo brushes(For Example) does not come to retail stores the way plastic (Colgate) do.. if we order them we will get a large packaging.. which we need to give local recycling unit..
Hi Nikhila, the reason those aren't available in retail stores yet is because enough of us aren't buying it already. It's smaller brands that are producing them currently and they wouldn't be able to afford the % cut from these retail stores unless there's high demand for the products. Hence currently, best would be to order from online zero waste stores instead of platforms like Amazon. Since they would have sustainable packaging too.
Where I found toothpaste tablet
Check out Denttabs in google and you'll find their website from where you can order it. :)
I made my shampoo, moisturizer and toothpaste myself which is super sustainable
That is amazing Harshika.. did you make the toothpaste with baking soda?
@@NayanaPremnath yes! You're right
Please tell how...
Don't use too much baking soda in your toothpaste as that can cause our tooth enamel to erode. Make sure to use the right ratio..otherwise it could lead to trouble for your teeth. That's why I avoid making my own toothpaste and trust brands who make it sustainably, to know better.
Where we can buy all these products? Like toothpaste tablet, shampoo bar etc
Do check out the description of this video. The links would be available there. :)
Body butter brand???
Its Scentora. 😊
Can you share me the wodden comb link
The link in description doesn't work
Hi Kavya! Ive updated the link in the description. Do check it out now. :)
I stay in Mumbai
Where do get conditioner bars. Thank u for ur reply
Do check online. You’ll get lots of options. :)
Can u make a video on this second hand/thrift shops... I dnt c any affordable options out there... Most of them sell second hand stuff at new stuff rates...
That video will definitely be coming up this month itself. As I've already ordered a few to show you guys.. once it reaches me, I'll be able to shoot the video for you. 😊
@@NayanaPremnath Thanks for the prompt and detailed reply... Eagerly awaited! i believe u r in Blr, any Blr specific info also would be highly appreciable.
Noted! Will include that too. 😁😁😁
The products like face wash etc is too costly to replace for a middle class family
Just one thing the bambo toothbrush has plastic bristles so don’t we have a better choice
👌🌿
Thank you :)
I have these two problems😭...I have used reusable cloth pads for many years but i am a 365days sick person bcz of chronical illness that's why i can't work that much and also a heavy bleeder so washing them is really hard😔
And i have used soap bars for my face made of saffron and goats milk, but it was harsh on my skin😔So going zero waste is getting tough for me................Huh.....
Why dont you try menstrual cup??
What about makeup ?? Please make a vedio even on that
We don't have any makeup brands in India currently which are Zero waste in nature. There are a few which have zero waste options in lip balms and cheek tints but not a single brand which has all the common makeup products all in Zero waste packing. :(
That's why I hadn't included that yet. Hopefully, I'll make a video sometime on the few brands which do have a few products. :)
It just my lifestyle in mirror
I’m so glad to hear that :)
❤❤❤
🥰😊🥰
Heyy ! I promise i will share this video with all my contacts! Lets start the mivement already! :))
U could also tell about :
○The glass/ metal straws
○Buying grocery at the bulk stores
○Composting
N i have some queries...
What alternative do we have for pens? All of them have plastic:( n the refills also come in so much plastic packaging!) The metal ones r available, but they also have plastic refills.
■I am a 15 yr old girl. Would i be comfortable in using the menstrual cup?
■What alternative for the chips and the snacks we buy? I have stopped eating them. But convincing other people not to eat them when they dont care much for environment is hard! What do i do T_T
Agreed with what you said...and yes you can use menstrual cup...i am using it from more than 1 year
@@siddhipatil8059 is it comfortable?
Yess...bt you have to take care about the size, shape and brand of the menstrual cup. I was earlier using a cup that was leaking but now i am using cup from brand peesafe and that is not leaking...its comfortable
@@siddhipatil8059 but how do i even get to know all that?
I have made a video on my channel about menstrual cup or you can check my Instagram @_siddhipatil or you will find it out on online apps
So much content
Thank you so much. I hope you check out all my videos on Sustainability 😊
Super interesting video!! And much useful too. 👌
Thanks a lot Sanjjj...🥰
Maidam ye sab chochla wala saman hm daily kamane khane walo ke liye nhi hai hm log datun, kapda, tail, besan or reetha use krte hai good luck and johar from Jharkhand
🙏🙂
😊😊😊
But couldn't you have a better background... other than that brown one
I'm so sorry if you didn't like it.. but its my favourite earthy tone. And I may be using it as a background for future videos too.
@@NayanaPremnath but everything is just brown..
So much of brown there..
But ofcourse i didn't mean to offend you..
Nah.. I'm good with my homemade packs..no need for face washes..
Yes, homemade packs are just as good, as long as you research well into what is good for each skin type. But please make sure to do that as there's usually science behind the skincare industry and so if we make things to use for our skin without doing good research on the ingredients, it could have problems later. That's why I try to stay away from DIY when it comes to skincare.
@@NayanaPremnath yeah.. you're kinda right about..
But may i ask you somethin.. do you watch cassandra bankson's videos.. she really takes a deep dive into skin care.. and seems like you're already an "skintellectual"😊.
Recycling is done only 2-3 times after that the quality of Plastic detiorates. Please don't get fool by such Brands. Only use Organic products with BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING
Actually Biodegradable packaging is just a way of greenwashing you into believing that it's better. It is only biodegradable in certain conditions(mostly incineratoring facilities)which most companies don't reveal.
As much as I know that Recycling is basically downcycling, a LOT of washing powders and liquids come in non-recyclable conditions. And even of they do come on recyclable plastic, how many companies do you see, taking responsibility for the ones they produce? Negligible. And hence I do believe instead of criticizing them, encouraging them in what they're trying to do and frequently asking them to try and do better is the way to go.
Personally, I have met the CEO of the Better Homes where he was open enough to talk to random people in his office, who were interested in knowing about their products. And he was very transparent about what and why they're doing this, while on the constant search for better options. That's the kind of brands I appreciate a lot, unlike the bigger ones which don't care even slightly about their products or its impact.
Also, these Better Home Products are made of non toxic products, meaning their washes, are less harmful to us and the environment, when it goes into our water.
In conclusion, after 2-3 times of Recycling, Better Home products you will add to the already high Garbage pile.
One more coming polluting the EARTH :(
And Sir, what would happen to the first plastic packet of Surf Excel or Arial? And the dozens of them?
Instead of looking down on every small brand who are trying to do in their ways, why don't speak up against the Big Brands who clearly don't care to take back even a single packet of theirs? 🙂
I have been in this field for over 2 years now, and I have talked to multiple brands in the process. Ones who are trying to get better and actually have in the years and few who only care about Money. So if you are keen to prevent any plastic from ending up at the landfill, you should aim for the Brands who ONLY care about the money. You can email them or reach out to them on Social Media if you want to make sure the least amount of plastic reaches the landfill.
I do raise my Concern to all Brands, Bigger or Small. We don't have time for baby steps towards Sustainable lifestyle. Bigger needs to get to Sustainable lifestyle immediately and new should directly start with Sustainable lifestyle.
Thank you very much for the zero waste application
You're very much welcome! 😊
I am a beginner...I switch to menstrual cup..I use cloth towel for makeup removing...I dont use tissues. I dont buy plastic water bottles. But the thing is everyone cant afford these sustainable things because they are costly.
Hi Siddhi, glad to know you're already doing so much in the sustainability front. Yes, some things may not be affordable right now, but 80% of items are available in almost all price ranges currently. So all you need is to do a google search and you'll definitely find the cheaper alternatives too.
Most essential to have a better lifestyle
I can't agree more! 😍
