I loved this video!! As a Brazilian girl and by not living in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, it's still kinda thought to find refill stores in beauty products or even food, but I believe it's an idea that is (and must be) spreading around the world and I'm excited to see more local brands taking the zero waste movement in account in my region
@@ThatCurlyTop I went to the website I buy it from and it says its a" Polylactide Acid bag created from the lactic acid in plants and is certified compostable" so I'm assuming home composting would be okay. Hopefully that helps!

I just need to say I am SO glad I stumbled across this video because I’ve lived in SD my whole life and I had no idea a refill shop existed especially so close to where I live! For the past 2 years, after going on a trip to East Africa, I have been trying to limit my plastic waste, and water consumption and have been ordering from so many zero waste brands online to find the right fits for my household of 4. This is so perfect and convenient and will help me encourage my roommates to greatly limit their single use plastics as well. Thank you for sharing!!
Not sure if you or your husband know, but you can buy biodegradable electric toothbrush heads! I don’t love the feel of bamboo toothbrushes (don’t feel they clean my teeth very well personally) so I bought a electric toothbrush and use biodegradable heads. Hope this helps :)
Thanks for this, I didn't know they even existed. I've been using my bamboo toothbrush instead but my electric toothbrush makes my teeth feel much cleaner.
there was actually a kickstarter yearrsssss ago for a sustainable, non-electric electric toothbrush (you just have to twist it a couple times which generates the energy) and they're supposed to be finished with them this year they're called 'be.' I just checked and they got their funding in late 2017 so I don't even know why I endorse them but if it takes them four years to actually make them they must be good right?

I’ve been using the dish block for a week and even tho the concept is great, it doesn’t really clean grease that well. I’m looking for other formulas that are also vegan, palm oil free but do a better job at getting rid of grease.
very interested to see how you like the dish block! i just bought toothpaste in bulk (not a fan of the tablets) and it was $15 for 4oz >_< yikes! gonna keep track of how long it lasts

I wish I had a store nearby like this but I ve started trying out products that have minimal/less packaging like bar soap for my body and i want to try out bar shampoo and conditioner and dishwashing soap as well. Also I was a little bit like 😳 at the price but then when you showed the receipt and I saw the breakdown my head was like “ok makes sense” when looking at the price per item lol so I just had some cognitive dissonance there I guess.
Hahah yes, do what you can! And yea that's why I had to show the receipt. I think also because I grew up with a low income, I feel like I couldn't afford anything, but the reality is that now I'm in a place were I can spend a little more and invest in better products and my community, so I'm trying to do what I can haha!
Does your wedding ring have a pearl in it? It's gorgeous! But if it is a pearl, they are quite delicate, so please be careful :) would hate to see something happen to it
