    Hey Guys, I have a 2015 Audi SQ5 & it ran a flat battery overnight about a month ago at least (completely my fault)
    Car started, no problems, battery fine APART from sunroof & sun blind not working.
    I have tried everything but nothing, no go, nitto 😦
    I rang a dealer and they said bring it in & leave it with us.
    Weeks have gone by & I thought check You Tube & what do you know, My Solution is staring me straight in my face.
    I have just followed your procedure & guess what, .....
    it works it works 😃😃😃😃
    I am absolutely Buzzin
    Thank You So Much Mate, You have made a very stressed 50 year old man very happy (me)
    10/10 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
    THIS WORKS & IS A COMPLETE LIFE SAVER !

    The dial stopped working on my 2009 Audi A4 Avant Quattro. I thought the switch was broken since the control worked otherwise, just not when you turned the dial. I did the calibration suggested and it worked like a charm. My sunroof control is now fully functional! Thank you for the video:)

    THANK YOU! Dealer quoted $1000 to fix my sunroof (2017 VW GLI). Said they had to take the whole roof apart and clean it to fix a problem where it would go halfway then stop and reverse when closing. I tried cleaning the tracks myself, didn't fix it. Did this quick trick (I didn't need to do the fuse btw) and now it is all fixed!

    I don't think even most mechanics know that you can reset the controls this way. I bought my 2014 Golf Sportwagen on April 21 and the dealer's mechanic couldn't find a pertinent solution. I took it to my VW mechanic and he said serves me right he warned me not to get one with a sunroof because for a mechanic they're nothing but headaches. Normally if he knew this trick he would have told me to try it first to see if it helped. He might not know of it. I had to randomly pull fuses till I found the right one a 25A fuse, not 20A a few positions above what some online fuse diagrams pointed to as the sunroof fuse, but the second attempt and it went thru its cycle and everything is working with just one touch. Even the sunshade blind. Thank you!!!!

    Today I turned off my car while the sunroof was opening. When I came back the sunroof button didn't work automatically anymore. The lock button wouldn't close the windows and unlock wouldn't open them. Trouble code was B13C654 power sunroof control module no basic setting. I did not need to remove my fuse, I just held down on the sunroof switch until it ran through the cycle and that was enough now it all works again. Thank you so much for this

    • @Russboyg
      @Russboyg 4 роки тому

      No, didn't buy a replacement motor, just the cog off of eBay. But if your cog is snapped you have to ask why? They are designed to break if under too much load.
      Rear blind motor is easy to get to. Drop the roof lining at the rear and it's there, not too far in from the boot

      In case fuse blows with roof open, no spare fuses? Use the Allen key to crank it closed manually. Click off the overhead plastic cover and you will see the hole. Look in owners manual for step by step. Next video the mechanic hopefully will point out the manual crank port.

    Mine sounds like its workimg but doesnt move ? Anyone else 2012 Audi A4

      Busted gear that’s supposed to move the mechanism that actually moves the glass which is what actually happened to the one on the vehicle in the video and needed resetting afterwards

      So replacing the fuse you changed should work ? Or would I have to replace it all ? Just bought the car today. Thanks for your response, bro

    • @ReverseEngineered
      @ReverseEngineered  2 місяці тому

      I replaced that broken gear because it was just the shaft spinning and not doing anything and then did what you see in the video to get it working back again. You can take yours out and inspect it and see if the motor and gear moves freely as it should but doing that will definitely need resetting like the video. A scan tool should also have the function to perform all of the steps in the video automatically without any fuss pulling or button presses.

      @ReverseEngineered you wouldn't happen to have a video on that gear fix would you ?

    • @ReverseEngineered
      @ReverseEngineered  2 місяці тому +1

      @EvolOne-ic5xv no, I didn’t even have a replacement audi part that I could find as a piece sold separately, found one for ford that fit and worked, it’s that little 3/4 inch gear at the end of the shaft. You can also try manually moving and see if that would do anything but at this point doesn’t sound like it would, gotta take the center buttons out to be able to access the manual setting with an allen key
