to reset is you have to do the following steps you got 2 options manually pull and push. pull is close push is open . ( To start the Reset Calibration you have to turn the button to closed position). pay good attention how to do all steps 1) push and hold (it will go open and al the way to the back) wen its all the way back let go off the button. 2) now pull and hold,hold it unthill its closed (PAY ATENTION) wen it closed let the button go (or els it will go open again) 3) now you have to pull and hold it again and do not let go unthill it does the whole open and close simulation ( wat i mean is it will go all the way open and close). wen this is done its recalibrated
Hahah bro, when I got my A3 8l that thing was unplugged too, and I was like ok that will be one easy fix...ehhh....I understood why it was unplugged, I have the same problem, what is with Audi and his Sunroofs? Thanks for the Tip I will try that on my car.
Mines made a tik noise too when it opened completely, if my trick doesnt work you can try to reset the motor if that doesnt work it might just need to be replaced
I know im super late im sorry for the super late response but it could just be a bad motor itself, if you still have the car i would try and find the motor at a junk yard or ebay or something
I didn't know that you could unplug it and manually wind it in, I'll probably do that while I wait for my new switch to arrive, thank you for the information.
Check the sliders and make sure theres nothing blocking it from moving, if you try doing it manually and it just spins and doesnt move its toast and you would need a new motor, if it doesnt make any noise at all then the motor is seized

And if I manually turn the motor it stays in one place

You can just purchase a replacement switch from eBay.
