i can’t stand the hate towards brie larson it literally makes me so sick. she’s strong, confident and a seriously good idol for young girls all over the world. she personally hugged all of the sexual assault survivors at lady gaga’s performance at the 2016 oscars, she uses her platform for good, and she is an incredibly successful actress. she was dragged through shit for wanting more diversity in the industry, she was sent death threats constantly and threatened in all other ways, and the marvel cast (men specifically) just don’t really seem to help her out. and zendaya getting hate for playing an originally white character, or scarlet getting constantly sexualised and underestimated even though she fought her entire career for her character to be taken seriously. but with people like jeremy renner it goes so unnoticed and barely spoken about that people praise him, not knowing how much of a genuinely disgusting human he is. and the recent thing with chris pratt; rdj, zoe saldana, josh brolin, mark ruffalo and probably more were so quick to defend him even though he’s a trump supporter, and openly supports a church which agrees fully with conversion therapy. i hate it here, brie larson deserves the world and she’s so strong

People keep acting like Captain America would be triggered by Carol/Brie calling herself the captain, but I don't think Captain America would be triggered at all, and that's not just because I think it takes a lot to upset the guy. Steve and Carol get along really well in the comics and while they didn't interact much in the movies, they still seemed to get along pretty well there, too. Steve even smiled when Carol explained that the reason she'd never been around before was because other planets needed help and sadly didn't have the Avengers. Almost everyone else was being all defensive around her, but Steve and Natasha weren't. I'm a huge Steve Rogers fan and he's always going to be my favorite Captain and my favorite Captain America, but I still love Captain Marvel. Carol actually has the rank Colonel in the comics and she and Steve tease each other about the fact that she technically outranks him and that he was army and she was in the airforce. It's really funny actually and it's all in good fun. Steve would never be triggered by Carol calling herself "Captain". He knows he's not the only Captain in the world. The triggered weirdness is only from idiots in the comment section who hate Brie and Carol. The only time they'd have a reason to be "triggered" is if Carol was actually rude to Steve and said something like "I'm the Captain now, get out of here"... but Carol has not and would never say that. And considering Brie Larson and Chris Evans seem to get along just fine and he said he loved that she was cast as Captain Marvel, I don't think Brie Larson would say anything nasty about Cap or Chris either.
Also, can people who don't know Brie Larson stop judging Brie Larson all the time? You don't know her, you don't know her intentions, you've never talked to her, she hasn't done anything illegal, you can't say for sure if she's a bad person. I've seen some actors and actresses who just rub me wrong and behave problematically, but I still don't pretend to know exactly who they are. Hayley Atwell actually really bothers me with some of her behavior, so I would never support her career by watching a movie or a TV show just because she's in it like I do for some actors I enjoy the work of and think they seem like good people due to their behavior in public and online, but I'm not going to go around saying Atwell is for sure an evil, nasty person when I've never even spoken to her.
Also, can people stop acting like there's a rivalry between her and Chris Hemsworth, because I'm pretty sure in an interview, Brie was asked if she stole anything on set and Hemsworth said, "Our hearts".
