I think the problem is at some point Disney writers decided they could never have a character building arc for a female character. Most stories we see a character make a mistake, feel deep regret, and then they learn to do better and in the long run, came out stronger for the experience. Disney tends to have all their female characters start out from the beginning as infallible girl bosses. It is hard for average people to relate to infallible perfectionists who never had to struggle or overcome a setback.

Funny I watched Conan The Barbarian last night, first time in a couple decades, and imagine my shock that the lead actress portrayed a badass female warrior who kicked ass and even led the men out of danger a couple of times. I thought that literally never happened until recently. I guess the problem is that she just wasn't the main character, and that's unacceptable. And they even had her die, while Conan went off to avenge her. Totally unacceptable. I was actually surprised at how good that was as a film. Much better than I ever realized at the time. The score is fantastic and mostly carries the film, and they actually do most of the film with barely any dialogue at all. That might be to hide the not stellar acting, but it's pretty well done. They communicate a lot of things with the characters staying silent and showing you thorough looks or action what you need to know. Not bad at all.

And yes, back in the day with the original Nintendo, these were the steps to get a game to play as time went on. Kids now days have it so great. I guess that makes me a gamer too. I chalked it up to a Freudian slip. "Fake and disingenuous" that's exactly how I'd describe almost everything that gets on the trending section, and most of the channels with millions of subscribers. People seem to pander more and more to the general masses once they reach a certain level of notoriety on here. They exaggerate their reactions and mannerisms until it reaches a point where I feel like I'm watching something that's essentially a tv show, rather than something personal and unique. To an extent that's fine, like on this channel, I can tell a massive difference in the production quality from Drinker's earlier vids, and the delivery of speech is much clearer, but it still has that very genuine flavour to it, and I can't see him ever losing that.

I think the problem is at some point Disney writers decided they could never have a character building arc for a female character. Most stories we see a character make a mistake, feel deep regret, and then they learn to do better and in the long run, came out stronger for the experience. Disney tends to have all their female characters start out from the beginning as infallible girl bosses. It is hard for average people to relate to infallible perfectionists who never had to struggle or overcome a setback.

Funny I watched Conan The Barbarian last night, first time in a couple decades, and imagine my shock that the lead actress portrayed a badass female warrior who kicked ass and even led the men out of danger a couple of times. I thought that literally never happened until recently. I guess the problem is that she just wasn't the main character, and that's unacceptable. And they even had her die, while Conan went off to avenge her. Totally unacceptable.
I was actually surprised at how good that was as a film. Much better than I ever realized at the time. The score is fantastic and mostly carries the film, and they actually do most of the film with barely any dialogue at all. That might be to hide the not stellar acting, but it's pretty well done. They communicate a lot of things with the characters staying silent and showing you thorough looks or action what you need to know. Not bad at all.
Interviewer: "Jeremy, you're an actor. Just pretend you can stand her company."
Jeremy Renner: "No one is that good an actor."

Christian Bale has put himself on record as believing that American culture would be 'much richer' if the people in power weren't mostly white men.
The actor made the comments during an interview with AOL Build this past Monday as he sat with Rosamund Pike and Wes Studi to promote the upcoming Wild West drama film Hostiles.

I chalked it up to a Freudian slip. I'm all for inclusivity (honestly never paid much attention to race or sexual preference) but forcing it on people with no real storytelling purpose is just paying lip service. "Fake and disingenuous" that's exactly how I'd describe almost everything that gets on the trending section, and most of the channels with millions of subscribers. People seem to pander more and more to the general masses once they reach a certain level of notoriety on here. They exaggerate their reactions and mannerisms until it reaches a point where I feel like I'm watching something that's essentially a tv show, rather than something personal and unique. To an extent that's fine, like on this channel, I can tell a massive difference in the production quality from Drinker's earlier vids, and the delivery of speech is much clearer, but it still has that very genuine flavour to it, and I can't see him ever losing that.
Well that explains why I don't subscribe to anyone with over 2m subs.
