The lipstick reminds me of PML blitztrance lipsticks. For those, I eliminated "glittermouth" by putting on a matte base colour first - or concealer - and using blitztrance as a topper. Thank you for buying and trying on the shadows. I was considering them but not anymore. My own experience with Chantecaille shadows is that they wear off within 1-2 hours. These look to be similar in pigmentation with the addition of glitter fallout. I think Chantecaille should revise its entire makeup range, except the mascara. At those prices, it should be possible to create makeup products that have decent and stable pigmentation while also being long wearing and ecofriendly.
Yeah, the eye palette will go better when used with other deep and matte eyeshadows I have. It is such an unique eye palette. Love the packaging! Thanks, Michele.😁
Yes, Jill convinced me too.. I ordered the Carnelian Red lipstick from this collection. I thought the nail polish was beautiful, however I don't wear polish, otherwise I would have ordered that as well. Haven't received the lipstick yet, Bergdorf's had a slight delay and everybody else was sold out of it already, Barney's and Neiman's were totally out of the red.

Ok, finally managed to watch the video in its entirety...lol after watching about three times, multi tasking at it’s finest. The palette is stunning on you, hmm would be interesting to see how they look over a black base...the cream in the Surratt Scandal eyes or something like that. I was curious to hear your thoughts and hoped you loved the palette as much as I am loving it. I agree that the one color swept across the eye appears to be what they intended - I took my cue from the models on the website. I don't think it will be for someone who likes the traditional eye look with a transition shade - they will be disappointed- I'm afraid it would muddy up the colors instead of getting that lovely sheer wash of color. The mauve colors with the blue flash is very fun and different. I love the nail polishes. Going to look at the powder now!

This look is beautiful on you, Michelle. I have a few Chantecaille products and love them so am anxious to try new products from them. I am on a bit of a low buy right now and with it being limited edition, I may not get it but nice to know how it performs and looks. The only similar powder application method I have tried is the Colour Science SPF powder which comes in this type of applicator with a brush that is revealed when you slide the plastic down. I think because it is a sunscreen and is mostly meant for topping up your sunscreen during the day, over makeup, the powder comes out pretty easily. I usually tap it on the back of my hand once just to get powder into the brush and then I don't have to tap a second time. It is difficult to see on camera how much was dispensing but the finish looked really nice. I would think it would be handy for travel. Thank you for the review.

😂 I totally bought two of the nail polishes after I watched Jill’s video, so you are right in target with that. But you’re always on target. I also picked up the pink lipstick because that looked so lovely on her. I’m intrigued by this powder!! So pretty! I think of the mauve row in the palette as my Frozen look 😂. When you layer the colors in the rows, the look is so cohesive and beautiful. But I also like layering the shadows individually, just as you did! I picked up the blue liquid eyeliner when I got the palette, and it’s gorgeous! So excited to see your video. You might make me pick up the last lipstick. Wonderful treat today! Thank you, as always!
When I don't know how much powder I'm getting, I keep a piece of black fabric and try out the powder on that. I have Chantecaille's powder in that delivery system from about 10 years ago. One feature was that it is refillable. As I recall, I shook the brush to get some powder to the tip of the brush.

Colorescience and others have tinted UV powder in same system. Works fine but no guarantees on even application. I usually shake it and make sure I can see the powder in the brush as I feel I have more control. Hard to overdo it.

I'm fairly certain the three other lipsticks they offer do not have glitter - the Lipstick, Lip Chic and Lip Veils. It may also depend on the color, but I know they have non-glitter colors. I think an interesting similar palette was the Bareminerals Aurora that came out at Christmas. Very similar colors and finishes.

Dyed goat hair is a little grippier and picks up a bit more product. Undyed goat hair can be used with powder and liquid/cream products.
