Couldn't agree more Rien - I was talking to an organist friend about this exact point this weekend. There's an amazing online community of organists, musicians broadly, music enthusiasts, and casual observers, who are incredibly supportive of each other's efforts. It's a truly beautiful thing. I truly enjoy and appreciate all performances I experience, and look to what I can learn from these. And on that note, thank you for such a beautiful performance - Aristide has a lovely oboe!!
Beautifully played Rien! And I agree 100% with your wonderful sentiments. Thank you for helping to share wonderful music and brightening our every day. Very much looking forward to hearing the new set up and I am sure you are looking forward to having your house back!
Nice piece from the collection of 7 here. I remember playing the Postlude-Cantique for Christmas. Maybe I will play this sometime soon. Thanks for recording and sharing!
A very very pleasant interpretation of this wonderful piece. I know this Cantiléne very well and use it regularly. I almost recorded it too. I like your version very much and enjoyed it. Thank you Rien!✨
Thanks Markus! It’s a nice piece, not to difficult however it requires a meticulous approach. I’ve wonder how it would sound with a softer flute as a solo. I never tried it. I think it works make the piece more mellow. Bit maybe to mellow.
Thanks Colin! You are right, I tend to play this kind of “nowhere to hide” pieces very diligent. A piece like this, especially a cantilene must be fluent and smooth performed. If you on any way hurt the fluent movement you hurt the magic. But of course you know. :-)
I have never heard a Dubois comp that I did not thoroughly enjoy. THIS performance brings out the mercurial magic in his score. Your timing and the delicate registration make this little gem shine very brightly, indeed. (I’m looking for my Dubois collection directly. Stress relief and peaceful, “organic” music. Beautiful music beautifully performed.
Beautiful piece, I love this book. Clever registration and lovely phrase ! Congratulations Rien ! I hope you won't mind if you hear your yesterday Gounod's piece on my channel soon, I spent the evening working on it, and fel in love with it !
Thanks Rémi! As I said in my description: publishing on UA-cam is about sharing and caring. So no problem at all. Every performance is a unique moment with a shared goal: spreading beauty.
@@remi-chapalain nice Rémi! I’m looking forward to hear your rendition. I published this one 3 times. This one way quicker: ua-cam.com/video/LDOacrMdgsE/v-deo.htmlsi=q8ZIRp5y9TqaHI_f
Beautiful sounds Rien! Thank you also for your kind words! Looking forward to seeing the new organ in the new music room!
Thanks Fraser! :-)

A most enjoyable rendition Rien. Dubois was a most meticulous composer and this was a meticulous performance from you.

I love Dubois! 😍 I do play this piece sometimes pre-service. Great rendition of this wonderful music!
Dubois wrote very meticulous like Colin said. I like that!
Dubois wrote a beautiful cantilena in the right hand for this piece. Hope your channel grows to reach new levels this autumn!
Thanks Vidas! I feel privileged with support from you!

Thank you for your kind words Paul! Let me return a compliment: I’ve played this piece as was it a Paul Page composition. :-)
