    Great answer to that last question. Reason to be bitter about that but glad that Avory has a healthy, even somewhat grateful, take on it.

      Besides, if they had survived to the US, they (or Ray) wouldn't have been themselves in the way being banned allowed them, meaning the machine'd have eaten them and excreted some product. This is why I love The Kinks as I can't stand The Beatles.

      @@regentogrin518 Good point. Had they made it big in the U.S., it's unlikely that The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society would've happened.

      @@regentogrin518 yeah, I kinda feel like the Kinks would probably become "Americanized" and their music would be a little bit less unique since a lot of it has some UK themes and other unique stuff.

    Undoubtably I could not see The Kinks playing at Woodstock or those other venues here in the States in the late 1960s. This is not a hippie band
