I'm over 50 and remember when these were new, loved to have a new one. Many, many years later, I bought a very used '84 2.5 with 4 speed that had had an engine fire, but I couldn't keep it running every day and didn't have the space or time to get it right, but you make me wish I had. Proud of ya' man! Great job and a real inspiration, keep up the awesome work!
I'm 46 and this brings me back to 89.., same red 84' car. I didn't even realize at the time how lucky I was at 16 to own a nice, simple, fun 5 year old car. Moved up to an 86 black GT after that. Wish I had either one now. I'm living vicariously through these videos and am proud of what he's doing with this one also..
So a few years back my dad bought a super nice Fiero. He's retired so it was like his grocery getter. He went shopping once a month so twice a week he'd go start it and let it warm up. One day it caught fire while idling and burned his garage down. It only took about twenty minutes. Use a precision punch and a drill to remove rivets.

I bought one the first year it came out in '84. I thought the headrest speakers were so cool. And then my '92 Miata came with headrest speakers and reminded me of my Fiero. Not that that was my favorite part of the car, but it was interesting. It was also what I learned to drive a stick on.

From the time you said "I ordered some engine parts" to get the engine running, I was thinking to myself.... "check the TPS!" :) I had two Fieros in my time. ('85 2M4 and '86 GT) I love seeing your work and dedication go into this car. The Fiero is definitely unique. The only people who really cared about them, were those who owned one. Great job and great video! Also, if your G/F is that excited for your 30+ year old car project coming to life............. then she's a keeper.
Imagine doing nearly the same job (damn near exactly) using no jack stands in a slope gravel driveway and a 30 year old craftsman jack! Did it 23 years ago to the same car, red with a grey interior!

That was probably the best part. It coming back to life and you feeling proud of yourself. Still worth watching again. Thank you Ron!
Great content as always. I'll tell you what my shop teacher always said to me "a grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't"
I smiled when you started placing the plates on the fiero, the same feeling when I put mine on my 1985 corvette
Wow! thanks for this build, brings me back to 1994, my 1st car. A red 1985 Pontiac Fiero😎👍
It is "next year" and there is a Fiero video. Perfect.
I've never clicked a notification so fast...Happy New Year Fiero!
I bought one the first year it came out in '84. I thought the headrest speakers were so cool. And then my '92 Miata came with headrest speakers and reminded me of my Fiero. Not that that was my favorite part of the car, but it was interesting. It was also what I learned to drive a stick on.
Shout out to the green cart. The real under dog here haha
That cart's a real trooper, having held up a four-cylinder engine for that long.
Keep going young man, The journey is the best part and the experience will last you a lifetime. John Delorian would be proud!
34:07 you can't help but smile and feel a sense of pride when a Project finally becomes Road Legal!
The Terminator theme song at 31:31 was on purpose?
Thought the same 😅😎
The machine is rising.
His goal is to terminate the bs.
He pounds his videos with references and easter eggs.
One day I am going to come out to Texas to visit so we can do an episode together. Congratulations on getting this Rusty machine running and driving! EVen I have gotten a few ideas about what to do with our project from the clean refurbishing you've done in your videos as always very proud of you man. - the lightspeeds
From the time you said "I ordered some engine parts" to get the engine running, I was thinking to myself.... "check the TPS!" :)
I had two Fieros in my time.
Jeremy Smith It can be done just way more simple with a lift
lol they obviously made more red ones in 84 mines red too i completely had my duke rebuilt cant wait to paint it something other than Red lol
Loved my 84, upgraded years later to an 88 - most comfortable (to sit in) car I’ve ever owned. Indeed a pain to work on - thanks so much for the memories 👍🏼
Whats sad is that was the last year and it was the best of them. They finely got to redoing the whole rear suspension and most of the other little issues like the low horsepower etc... and boom its gone :(
I kinda grew with this series over the last like 2 years and I am So glad I watched it
makes me very happy to see a young person taking interest in a project like this!! And to know that common sense hasnt completely vanished.Well done my friend!!
Now this is the way to start off 2020, I’m in love with the fiero series and so happy for you and the car. Keep up the great work :)
Very inspiring, Ronald! Don’t stop, don’t give up. Ever! We are all rooting for you.
This gorgeous and totally loved Fiero is going to be *so popular* if/when you take it to Cars and Coffee ❤️
Another great video. I can't imagine how much editing time you must spend on this project. Keep up the amazing work. 🙂
13:20 i never seen a girl so hyped when and abandon car turned over, that made me feel so good❤️😊
"You can't just buy new ones from the pontiac dealership, for multiple reasons." Haha, I laughed too much at that.
This has to be the absolute best car project on UA-cam. It's just so relatable and well done.
It’s got that classic “Iron Duke” sound at idle. I’m not sure what actually makes that iconic sound but, I kinda like it.
I literally got goosebumps when you put the plates on. Also, 10:38 is BA editing! Thanks again!
