I have been fighting mental health and substance abuse pretty much since I was 11 years old and at the age of 39 I hit EVERY bottom a human being can hit.. I mean jails, psychiatric hospitals , homelessness , very serious medical conditions etc.. and one nite I was so tired of it all I took a bottle full of muscle relaxers and woke up 9 days later from a coma
.. I really know what fury talks about but by the grace of god thinks will get better.. pray and seek professional help Is the only way. I been clean almost 11 years and I'm so happy and grateful that I have my family in my life and I'm so grateful to be alive
I’ll keep u n my prayers bro. I’m 43 from Belfast your life sounds like a mirror image to my own. I beat up an IRA man then they shot me in both ankles whenever I was 19. In hospital n before u no it addicted to tramadol. Never took a tablet in my life. They were giving me 8 green n yellow tramadol a day. Then progressed to diazepam Xanax etc etc. then GBH for the IRA man I got years inside. Been clean from June. Every day is a struggle as u well know. But take it hour by hour day by day buddy. Mick from Belfast Ireland 🇮🇪
2 years jail
@@MrSlickmick01061979 Me too on the tramadol and codeine... 10 years.... But I train through all of it which I think may help me... I train twice a day like Tyson... (My old dj name was DJ Fury btw🤣🤣) and been bodybuilding for 10 years... I'm desperate to be off tram and codeine but the withdrawal is so so so hard... People have no idea the hell of opoid withdrawal... It's like living your worst nightmare every single second of every single day
Good job mate💪
Remember this man was born at 26 weeks and weighed 1lb at birth. His whole life has been a fight ♥️♥️ 🇮🇪🇮🇪
Not his entire life. He will have been in a fight the first few months, since then its been the occasional boxing match (every few months), which is a career choice, not really comparable to the 1st few months of his life.
Yeah but he weighed 1 stone the next day
@asdfghjkl; 1 pound in weight.
It's hard not to admire Tyson Fury.
lol
i love him, his story from being suicidal to resurrecting - his will and inspiration -is so motivating for people in life. Yes - cocky and arrogant before matches but inside and as a person he is so dead honest, sympathetic and likeable - with self awareness and deapth...!
From someone who has suffered with mental health issues since 1998 this man is a true legend for being so honest and raising awareness ❤
He did it to aid his career and cover over the fact he was a drug cheat, anything beyond that is your imagination.
@@Euro2024champs what a stupid comment 😂
who knows if he's just making the whole thing up to gain popularity though?
@@Euro2024champs finally someone who sees through Fury bullshit
Shame they're making it all about mental illness, and missing the elephant in the room, that alcohol and drug abuse leads to mental illness.
There are lots of Tyson Furies out there. Men who have spent a life time focused on a single goal, but when they achieve that goal, they realise that the goal wasn't what drove them, it was the journey in getting there that kept them going. What Tyson needs now is not another boxing goal, he just needs a focused journey, and it doesn't have to be in boxing. He could be successful in anything he put his mind to, but whatever that is, he has to embrace it with passion, dedication, and focus, but above all, he needs to enjoy the journey.
100%
The problem with Tyson is he never got over his addictions. He just turned it to boxing so he’s still unstable. He seriously needs to deal with his demons properly and not by have coping mechanisms. Wish him all the best but he seems a bit off his best self atm
But that's probably also what makes him the GOAT
I think this is him being his best self, and being honest about it what it takes for him to get there
He still sniffs bingo
how does one go about "dealing with demons properly" ?
He does seem in a weird mood atm, the true geordie interview showed that, unless that was a glimpse at the real tyson
Not too many people have inspired my soul, Tyson Fury has, skateboarding helps keep me going
I was the same in the 70's with skateboarding, then I got into BMX, still mind back in 1984 giving my BMX to a little fella who had a lot less than me.
I miss those simple days so much, in my 50's now and still think about them.
@@G4RY1159 I grew up in the 70's too. Wasn't the best skateboarder, loved BMXing though. Never had my own bike though. I had a bike, just could never get the funds together for a bmx. Happy days though. Keep on boarding op.
Frampton and Fury have so much mutual respect I love it
They are being 'Paid'. Do apply logic, is it's achievable.
@@chaseshadow so was True Geordie 🤦♂️

Fury father disrespected Frampton John fury big clown 🤡
@@michaelrowley941 ALL 'Showmen' duping those entertained.
I would not like to see Fury fight Wilder again. Let Usyk or AJ fight him. But don’t give the man the time of day because of the way he disrespected Fury. I think all the fans would love to see Fury vs Usyk. I’m really hoping we see that fight next after Chisora.
Perhaps Ruiz will beat Wilder setting up for a Fury Ruiz fight, which would be good. Then again if that happened Wilder may retire and I would like to see him fight some of the other top guys if there is a chance of it.
Yeah FURY should never fight wilder again because after FURY beat wilder a 4th time he will say he cheated again and won't show any respect he don't deserve to fight FURY and fury have nothing to gain from wilder other than more fake accusations before and after the fight
When did Wilder disrespect Fury? He gave him a shot when no one else would...
@@doncee5066 at the end of the 3rd fight til dis DAY
@@doncee5066 Wilder’s team thought Fury was washed-up when they offered him a match. But it would have been a feather in his cap if he beat an ex world champion, so they were chomping at the bit to take Fury on. Never in their wildest dreams did they think Fury could beat Wilder. The rest is history. Wilder could never accept it and made accusations of cheating. The man is delusional and Fury don’t need the hassle.
"My heart is not in boxing" *5 seconds later* "my passion and love for this sport..."
Your misreading it. He doesn't want to box.. He has to
He's clinically diagnosed bipolar. Crazy to see fans get all surprised about it.
Its called being bipolar
Tyson means he has a compulsion to box not a love or need anymore.
he is full of bs.... but he is into 3th book and composing songs .... he is a propper GYPO .... they are like that ... talking one thing and the next thing the next scond ... he is mlutimilioner, and familly man but he does not know what to doo ... he just wnats attention and everibody to talks nice things about him ...
The biggest fight with Tyson Fury is with Himself. I love him as a brilliant boxer.X
I get why people are worried about Fury, but a lot can happen in 2 or 3 years from now. He is only 34 years old, so he has a lot of fight left in the tank, and his style can allow him to fight deep into his 30's if he wanted to. Even if he eventually loses a fight in the ring, his legacy will be richer for it. Personally, if I were him, I would go and try to get Usyk, and Joshua as trophies on my imaginary wall. That would be a goal, and then reassess where I am after that and if I still want to go forward in boxing.
Ali was like this, the love for fighting kept him around to long
Please God let him get some help before it all goes downhill again. I’m very concerned hearing what he says about not being able to stop
Exactly. He should be using his money to help struggling Christian families back up on their feet in difficult times. There's never enough a multimillionaire can earn for this kind of important philanthropic endeavour, that surely ought to give him purpose in life!
Sry but i dont buy this and even if this is true i dont feel sorry. this guy kicked AJ when he was at his lowest after losing twice against usyk. he knew that aj is mentally lost and all of a sudden announced that he wants to fight him. Put pressure on him and made him look like a coward, put pressure on him with the deadline. I'm Sure deep in his heart he hoped and knew that AJ wouldnt and couldnt sign the contract that quickly. So he made use of the situation when AJ was at his lowest. And now he wants us to feel pity?
I dont buy ANYTHING of this. He just wants to fix the true geordie debacle and wants people to forget that quickly and comes again with some emotional stuff. This guy is a narcist
Wouldn’t think too much into it . He’s like every other boxer . Keep fighting for easy massive pay days . Plus hes giving an old mate in Del Boy a big paycheck
I said it as soon as he came back from "retirement" he's fighting his MH right now. The sad truth is, this will end only one way; he will get beaten in the ring and that's likely to make him feel even worse. He's been an inspiration to me and many others, I really hope he can find a way to have peace outside of the ring.
Nice respectful interview. I enjoyed that. Thanks, Miles Cobbett, Author of the HW Boxing book Champion
It’s easy to forget what a man mountain Fury is! As a Fury fan I was gutted when the AJ fight fell through, Chisora is no joke but he’s cannon fodder for Fury.
This is marketing 101 he’s had bad press so time to pull on the heart strings of people to generate interest
They are all cannon fodder for fury except Joyce. Joyce presents a real challenge
@@stickivicki1 he'll jab his head off way too quick.
I don't see any issue with him fighting Chisora as long as he's going to fight Usyk next year.
@@chrisd3211 I agree my man this is his ploy.
Boxing is his flame, without boxing the flame burns out.
People are so quick to switch on Tyson and judge disregarding all the problems he’s faced in life and he’s still the heavyweight champion of the world. To complain about him fighting chisora is ridiculous just let him fight and live his life
The fans want the best fights and it looks like he is trying to take the easy fights. If he doesnt take the big fights then retires it will be a dis service to fans of the sport and to the other top heavyweights who want to prove themselves. If hes callin himself the greatest then he better start proving it coz this is why people are gettin pissed off with him. Or maybe he should stop claiming hes the greatest and jst take all the easy ones
No doubt

One thing I have to say is this man fears no one and is a real fighting man, he has also done well adapting to being in the public eye, sad he couldn't be his true self though but it is the world we live in..
No1 wants the 3rd chizora fight
No1 wants the 4th Wilder fight
Joshua Usyk Joyce even dubois would be more interesting for us
The part which is hard for Tyson is the mental side of things, a lot of people don’t realise what it’s like to be bipolar, to have more than one mind, it’s tiring, and even tho Tyson hasn’t defended many fights, we have seen the change for the better in him through the years mentally, through a constant battle, and he is coming out the other side a lot more genuine
Exactly
I for one used to believe him but now he is using it as an excuse and i feel like he has used mental health issues to get in and out of boxing whenever he wishes.
Another 5 years of Fury!
He's really manipulated the sheeple
Fire can't bend loaded gloves!
Fury looks great, hopefully he fights John Mcdermott after the Chisora trilogy so he will be the first HW champion to have 3 trilogies...
That to much of a step up imo.
McDermott hasn't fought since 2013?
He's 42 years old and has a rubbish clearance business on Facebook.
I wouldn't bet on that fight happening.

Fury looks fantastic. Appears to be ready for whatever gets thrown his way.... Wouldn't mind seeing a 4th chapter with Wilder!! By far the most entertaining fights in the last decade..... Fans would show up for a 5th fight!!!!
No one wanted to see the third fight let alone a 4th he should be fighting other top 10 fighters instead of the same 2 fighters 6 times 🤦🏼♂️

This poor guy has been immersed in the boxing and celebrity lifestyle for all his life. He needs away from it all, and start realising life is not about this and start taking pleasure in the simple things. Throw his energy into helping the vulnerable people on this planet. God knows they need someone of his stature and his willpower. He needs to realise he can use his energy to fight for things outside of the ring.
Gotta love the guy he puts it out there.

Let’s be honest a lot of people only want fury to stay in boxing because he’s still undefeated
I think everybody is missing the point. Tyson said he isn't capable of letting boxing go, he's the only fighter that is conscious of it, it's fascinating and terrifying to me at same time. Is Tyson Fury doomed to be depressed and suicidal if this man can't stop fighting he's going to lose how will he deal with that? Can he find something else to fill that void. So many questions I want answered.
@jay I find it fascinating especially understanding his past and those before him, the like of Bartley Gormen and Uriah hall both undefeated Gypsy kings of there times, who both fought right up until their dieing days. It feels like Tyson is doomed to repeat such a cycle. Honestly incredible I wish I could talk to him about this.
I worry about him. He will lose eventually, and I fear for him when that happens. I hope someone can help him.
Nobody will beat Fury unless he gets old overnight.
