The buzz leading up to the fight was immense for him then that rush was all spent & then back to reality. He accomplished what no man could at the time. It’s like winning the lottery then when the money is all gone you worse off than you were before mentally. Sometimes we our own worst enemy with the expectations & pressures we put on ourselves.
The mind is so powerful we need to learn to control it & not let emotions overwhelm us.

After months of negotiation, on 8 April 2016 the rematch with Klitschko was finally announced, this time with the fight scheduled to take place in Fury's home town of Manchester at Manchester Arena on 9 July 2016.[78] On Friday 24 June 2016, it was announced that this fight would be postponed to a later date due to Fury sustaining a sprained ankle in training.[79] On the same Friday, Tyson Fury and his cousin, Hughie Fury, were charged by UK Anti-Doping "with presence of a prohibited substance" from a sample 16 months previously in February 2015, a misconduct the two boxers "strenuously deny".[80] On September 23, Fury again postponed the fight after being declared "medically unfit".[81] It was reported by ESPN, Fury had failed a drug test a day before he pulled out of his World title rematch. Fury cited problems with depression after a positive test for cocaine.

Anthony Joshua is already a better boxer than Fury. He has won his belts one by one and made defence after defence. Fury may have had mental issues but he also knew Wlad would have beaten him in the rematch as most of the boxing world also thought he would. Hence why he ducked it with excuses. Anthony Joshua will go down as the best British heavyweight in history. Even better than Lennox Lewis.

    • @AJ-nd4nk

Chris Rowe No he wont LOL. Lewis is arguably the greatest HW of all time. You can't even mention AJ in the same sentence as Lewis. AJ and Fury don't even come close to what Lewis achieved and in the fashion he did it. Also the era Lewis was in was the hardest and in depth Hw period. Today's HW era is very weak.
