  • vulcan 900 starter was running after releasing starter button, headlight was not turning on, acting very strange. after putting this back in the bike it worked perfect! just had a headlight that would always stay on with the key. minor inconvienience for a more reliable bike.

Can confirm just bridge the 2 pins, and every time you turn on the keys, headlight will be on just like a normal bike should be.
It works on 2006 VN900, and also I didn't have to take the relay off, just simple bridge the 2 pins, hope this helps others as well !

I also have an ‘06 VN900. Headlight just quit working a few days ago. Looking for a fix. I may be doing this.

Experiencing the headlight problem on kawasaki ex250.
Can a normal relay be soldered on the board?

Hey same bike. But fuel pump gets no power. When fuel pump is straight wired bike runs fine. Relay box issues. Or so I’m told. 08 Kawasaki vulcan 900 custom. I was told it could be the rollover fuel cutoff switch. Or relay problems. Have you seen this before?

Can you not just keep the relay where it sits and bridge it?

Great, now istead of burning a relay you can burn the entire circuit board, that relay burnt because of current now without a relay the hot spot will be on the board and since there is no coil to end the hot spot it will continue until it ignites in flames under your seat, or you can just ride your bike at 40mph so that your stator produces low power only.😮
