Martin definitely was doing something extra for Jenna to be defending him like that 😭
I agree as their relationship was more than just work colleagues.
My first thought exactly
Am I shocked a cis dude said this? Nope.
When the chef hugged him for teaching him how to cook the scallops, that was a real moment, not scripted. he seemed really happy
38:12 Gordon:"Martin has an amazing way of manipulating you"
Martin: This isn't even my final form! *starts manipulating like mad
😂😂😂
This isn't even my final form
😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
The way Mohammed smiled while Gordon Ramsay ripped into Martin was funny
Martin: you merely adopted the gaslighting. I was born into it, moulded by it.
The fact that the girls kept propping up Martin made me think that he's always giving them compliments and probably pays them more than they should be paid. It's also very creepy the way they both guarded him like he was a pimp. No joke. It came across like they were sleeping with him and like he thought he was this playboy. Personally, I would've fired him as soon as I saw the wait staff playing with his hair AND then saw the kitchen and storage areas. He didn't do anything to keep that place clean. He was fine with the flies. It was gross.
yeah there was definitely something going on there. The hair thing, the fact Jenna backed Martin up in front of Gordon, the whole persona of Martin, he even goes out of his way to show his manipulative side at the end while Mohammed and Gordon were talking. Guy's completely delulu, it baffles me how he stayed there that long
Jenna backing up Martin after seeing how little he does for the restaurant caught me so off guard. I would have hated him as a boss. Immediately knew there was some weird stuff going on with him and the girls for them to love him and everyone else be tired of him
they were excited to make a hundred bucks for a night in NYC as a waitress, he was not overpaying them,
I'm thinking it's a sexual harassment thing. How many of us have had to watch a video, taken a course, listened to training videos all about that sort of crap? He should have been thrown out on his ass the first time any of them seen the waitresses treating him like this. The one waitress that upon meeting Gordon's trusted Indian chef wasn't concerned if he could or couldn't cook but he was a hottie! Girl needs a wake up call and realize a professional relationship has zilch to do with physical attraction and 100 % to do with their knowledgeable of whatever Business they are working in. That creepy jerk that had them petting him would have gone and if that waitress hit on the next one, she'd be gone too. Sexual harassment isn't just a problem with managers, it's with other employees too.
He was pimping the flies too. He gave them free food and a place to stay.
This episode is still one of my favourites. Martin is one of those people that you know won’t change and doesn’t care about his job. The whole girls thing was creepy and gross. And the state of the food and the infestation was insane.
Martin is the type of person you'd never get tired of punching.
@@tonytasker489LMFAO
It's the owners fault for employing them and letting this shit slide ffs.
People like you need serious life lessons because anyone can change and you can see anyone at any point in their life at a bad place that may last five months or five years. Unless the guy rapes someone or purposely poison someone he deserves redemption unlike you since you’re so judgemental so I hope you never make any mistakes because according to you you don’t deserve anything but what you get because people can’t change, again, according to you…. You love to tell the internet what you think of a man you’ll never meet but how easy is it when you know nothing real? Idk the guy either but this world is getting sick. Sicker than it was already.
Agree
"he was extremely angry" if any health inspector worth their salt walked in there.. the place would've been cited to hell and back
I wouldn't say that every manager is bad. Andrew seems to be decent. He even developed a long-lasting friendship with Chef Vikas that Gordon brought in. Vikas still mentions Andrew in his social media post as recent as 2022.
martin was the cancer good to see Vikas and Andrew got that
Andrew was amazing and im sad he didnt get any attention during the episode, he was the only manager taking responsibility for the mess, at least until Khans redemptions arc towards the end
@@bearok89 fucks sake he the only one asking to cook the American good, even if it wasn't very good
It's the owners fault for employing them, and letting that disgusting shit slide.
Devastated that the "green burgers kill people" bit never made it to the final edit. I remember my friend recorded it on his phone at the time it was first put on TV and had it as his ring tone for text messages for years 😂😂
Ah man. Remember ring tones? Remember ring BACK tones?
@@bexmw yeah. Those were the days.
The waitress with his hair is definitely not a natural thing
This episode is up there with Amy and her cakes!!! The look on the chef's face while Peter is being told off is priceless. It's the happiest day of his life.
35:30 Vikas almost sounding on the verge of tears and having a shot of him looking like he's praying was unexpectedly hilarious
7:33 "always worries me when they stick tomato roses on top of the food and the tomato is rotten.."
GORDON THAT HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE???
Martin is like someone from The Office
The look on Chef Robert's face when Gordon is ripping Peter is hilarious.
When Gordon freaking Ramsay gets so angry he _lowers_ his voice… run Martin. Just run.
I can't believe Peter ate someone's appetizer like what the actual hell? Who does that? Dude seems like he got into deep financial troubles with the mafia and if I had to bet, he's the reason his family's restaurant had to close a year later. Hopefully it didn't end in bloodshed... The way the sharks came for him and how eager he was to throw punches I wouldn't be surprised if things turned ugly after Gordon left. He wanted all the glam of a rich mobster, but he couldn't cut it in actual mob life.
I actually can't understand the man, literally. How can you be such a child ? I wanna say poor parents but ey it ain't me who put a golden spoon in his mouth
1:21:20 just saw this scene, lil man gets angyyy. But seeing his father fall like that breaks my heart. "MY FATHER" he says xD
OMGGGG the guy he wanted to fight is actually the only one who tried helping his dad. This guy's fucked
@@baranucer8233 people always call out in others what they exhibit themselves. "Come on you fake tough guy, come on you fake tough guy!" he says as he embodies every aspect of a fake tough guy
“The only thing missing is Chinese”
Waiter: “Page 6”
That Peter is one of the worst narcissistic individual i have ever seen. Such a waste of skin!
Gordon has my respect for telling him like it is..
I would have had Peter sell the Benz and buy a stove . Don’t enable the big baby.
Absolutely. Father should have made him. And he’s bling bling watch and jar fake teeth.
Dillons: The decor in this "restaurant " is probably the worst I've ever seen. The sheet like fabric on the walls and drop ceiling, and just filthy. How anyone could decide that would entice people to sit and eat there is beyond me. If I walked in there I'd walk right out. Seen this ep a few times and every time it's just so awful.
I love the fly buzzing sound effects they put in there every time a fly was spotted! 😂
Purnima closed in 2009, two years after the Purnima Kitchen Nightmares episode aired.
I wonder if it was due to another slip in quality control and they were forced to close, or if it was financial?
Jenna probably took Martin for everything he owns after an affair.
9:06 “do me a favor and eat that” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"WHAT HAPPENED TO PETER PELLEGRINO FROM PETER’S ITALIAN RESTAURANT?
There was a bunch of drama surrounding Peter Pellegrino and his mob connections. According to the last news we could find, Peter had a falling out with the mob and we’re not sure what’s happened to him since then."
He got whacked ya see Gordon was a made man and Peter wasn't, it was with the Italians, real greaseball shit.
We have all watched these episodes time and time again. It would be cool if someone who actually went to these restaurants during filming commented.
I remember seeing someone say that the people who visit while filming sign an NDA. I don't even know if that's true and even if they did, their contract could very well be (and most likely is) over by now.
When Martin was removed from the kitchen and Mohamed was put in charge then all the floor service became perfect and the complaints stopped. Martin allowed all the rotten food. Martin was sitting on the couch with a waitress stroking him. Martin and Jenna need to go. Jenna was stopping Gordon putting Martin in place. Jenna defies a true professional, Gordon Ramsay.
Peter appears to be a narcissistic waste of skin who thinks he is the only owner of the place, he is more concerned with upholding his fake image than he is with his family and business. It would appear that he may have a gambling problem as well with the collectors coming to his place of business to collect money, he has no place in the business and uses it for his enjoyment and ego, the ending showed how he immediately walked toward Gordon to shake his hand first to appear as the leader but Gordon snubbed him and went to the sister who actually runs the place and I loved that part. The name of the establishment needs to be changed to anything other than Peters.
haha the tomato Szene, with the guy slowly eating his half, while gorden simultaneously pushes his thumb into the rotton other half
I love Robert the chef from Peter's face whenever Gordon is telling off Peter! He looks absolutely delighted that someone is finally telling him what he needs to hear but everyone is too scared to tell him.
Love this episode. Peter is a parody of an Italian man 😅
I love calling someone a blowjob as an insult...
I really wanna see some of the job interviews. What did they tell the owners to get the job that they can't really do?
L
Lvlp😊
"I was a manager at my old job"
Martin embodies every negative English stereotype...
Probably that's why Gordon hates him...
Gordon set eyes on the dude and his bullshit detector shot so high it exploded, so he went off immediately.
I think Peter actually loves when loan sharks come around, gives him a chance to play like he's a gangster
"Peter go outside and polish your wheels or something" 😂
Watching this a my aunt and she gagged about 20 minutes times and when I showed my nan she went upstairs to puke in the bathroom so I'm so happy gordon covered this resturant. Thank god I've never been to america or wherever restaurant is-
“I’m not gonna say anything negative about this restaurant…I just don’t understand this restaurant “ 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Such a polite burn.
@@blacksapphirerain it was my favorite lol
There is one thing consistent throughout this restaurant experience and that is the flies. The place is not empty Gordon. There are plenty of flies. In fact, this place is buzzing.
Are you a Geordie or something?
Gordon has one strong stomach. Seeing the stuff he touches i almost vomited in other episodes.
All the waitresses are doing side work for Martin 😂...
1:19:04 the chefs face 😭💀
1:19:06
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
he was thinking ‘oh shit its about to go down’ 😂😂
The way Martin and that waitress defended each other was just strange. 😮
1:19:13 HIS FACE IS KILLING ME 😂😂😂
love it when gordon says 'understood?' mannn takes me back to my british english teachers lol
Change the name from Peters to Tina’s. Definitely.
I worked in an Italian take away chippie in Dublin.
Has anyone ever been more British looking than Martin
whoa Gordon got vikas khanna to help that's huge 26:00 he's one of the best and Michelin star chef frm India
I appreciate the editors bluring the faces of people that asked them to.
Anytime someone asks me if I know where we are, I'm just going to say, "New Jersey"
Not guilty NOT GUILTY!
The only presence on andrew I felt this episode was him as an ongoing narrator of the events of the disaster that purnima once was and concludes it with a happy ending.
39:42 what a beautiful way to say freak off!
Misprint on the new canopy and sign though: Dillons / Dillions. 🤪
This episode was wild 😂😂😂
I don’t understand how Peter had a total personality change overnight 🤷♀️
1:12:52 Peters Italian Restaurant. Peter is a plastic gangster, wannabe tough guy. What a complete loser!
That title though 😂
I’m not even a culinary artist and I respect Gordon’s work ethic.
"Tonight I made over $100, I was so happy." Aww good for her, that probably paid for her subway trip back to queens 🤣
This was so uncalled for. $100 is $100…
Anyone else feel like they couldn't watch no more but continued anyway because... well, just because?!?!!! I got all itchy and icky, got me wanting to clean my already clean home. 🤮
Food is great! Don't try to change the menu. The place needs a couple of more managers.
Gordon, we really need you to do a few new series of kitchen nightmares.
Please mate....PLEASE.
It is running at the moment.
Yesterday was Episode 04 of the new Season 08 aired.
And it is actually good not as many other reboots of older shows :)
@@ElNadaInLada That's strange, I can only see 6 series.
@@maydaygoingdown5602 Just search for season 8, I watched all four episodes yesterday! xD
@@maydaygoingdown5602they are right! Season 7 was the last and now its been rebooted and they started airing season 8 about a month ago.
@@Koselill could you tell me what channel it's on please?
Jenna is definitely taking Martin's Alfredo sauce.
I mean what successful ship doesnt have 3 captains ? 😂
Purnima is where my brother brought me to my birthday years ago. I had no idea that it had anything to do Gordon Ramsay or the backstory. It was good.
Gordan ramsey's prayers for not getting food poisoning are single-handedly making me believe in God. this man has the immune system of a deity for sure.
I think Martin might me a wee bit mad.
They run this business like a casino lol
Mafia casino 😂
i can't believe the waitress was defending Martin!!! She can hit the road with Martin!! I can smell Martin through the screen 😮!!!
A UK narrated US version?? I love it.
I do wonder if Martin reads these comments and see how much he's disliked
My country is proud of its food but honestly we don't have a good western restaurant, I really wish Gordon could come to my country and help!🙏
I don’t know how Gordon does this with no gloves. It’s so gross.
He's built differently
The girl at 15:32 is a server called candace from another episode
The one manager scrubbed so hard he gave himself tendonitis. That was the first real labor he had ever done in his life.
He had a sling on his arm.
Guys... Give credit to the sound engineer. 🎉🎉
Peter's a meathead but I have no doubt he could do some damage...
Martin finally found his place RICE SWEEPER except he barely could use a broom!!
I wonder how often Gordon gets horrific food poisoning from places like these? He should *start* with food checks, kitchen checks, freezer checks, etc. He'd save his poor stomach a lot of misery that way, and a lot of customers who arrive just to bask in his glory. I mean really, this episode was just *nasty* how many bugs they had, rotten food, food prepped on the floor, and people were *eating* that disgusting shit. I've worked in the industry before and this level of apathy is just mind boggling to me. Rotten food NEVER got served, if we spotted even the tiniest hint of decay it was gone. And sure the occasional fly found its way in, but we certainly NEVER had bugs just crawling out of the floor, the walls, the freezer. My god how could the owner let it get that bad??
He quit in part because it happened enough. It also happened on Costa del Sol, Hotel Hell, etc.
Oh no. They left the revolting floor. 🤮
1:12:56 I don’t understand how this is an insult! I always thought it was a good thing! 😂
I'd kill to see Gordon do a kitchen nightmares episode in India with street food vendors. Or hell, just see him live-react to a vendor making street food
Instead of buying a stove I bought a suit - feed a man a fish he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish HE CAN FINALLY PULL THAT MASSIVE WEIGHT!!!!
Enjoyed the episode
"I feel terrible, it's like someone telling you your kid is ugly." LMAO 57:38
Favourite episode so far 😂
martin would make a great junkie/thief in a guy ritchie film
Purnima closed in 2009, two years after the Purnima Kitchen Nightmares episode aired
Before the Dillon’s Kitchen Nightmares episode even aired, there was some drama.
Martin Hyde, the general manager from the episode, tried to sue Gordon for $3 million.
He also attempted to file an injunction to stop the episode from airing.
After being fired from Dillons / Purnima, Martin got a job as a manager at an upscale limo service named Swish Car Service
That's because that girl he defends was his mistress
@@BamBabyBrendaThat true? I thought it was weird the way she stuck up for him.
flies and cockroaches and rats?? I literally feel sick.
And just like that… im back. I was two weeks clean from ramsay content… my addiction rules my life……
Nasreen almost belongs to the NY streets
Edit: Jenna and Nasreen both, definitely belong to the streets
God this is doubly shameful for anyone who works in a proper restaurant... incompetent staff all around... not even a waitress who can handle a full section... "tonight I made more than $100" honey... if only you knew what every other waitress in Manhattan is pocketing nightly
This was over a decade ago though.
@@PeacockRhino i know... that's still only $178 in the year 2000... and that was the biggest earning night in her time there... do you have any idea what waitresses in cities make in a good restaurant on a busy a night like that? nevermind in an extremely wealthy district? i can hit $700 on my best nights in a medium sized coastal town... there are waitresses in nyc clearing 90k-100k/year on tips
@@ideapolice3074 I’m not from America so no I don’t! Didn’t realise it was such a small amount.
I mean they probably weren't making that much before so yeah she happy about it, the narrator even points out that the restaurant kept going well and they saw an increase in tips, like I'm sure they know 100$ isn't a lot
now i know why American wait staff don't advocate to get paid better wages and instead tell customers they are cheap for not tipping. while the government and restaurants exploit them they have no issues exploiting customers!
God damn...Gordon hated Martin.
Love this episode. Where could actually show how he runs things.
You know it’s bad and intense when this sound come on 0:55
I promise im not exaggerating this is the first eoisode that actually made me gag wtf
It’s an Italian restaurant. Of course you would serve lasagne. It’s bog. standard. If a man is owed money to and yiu own an expensive car you pay your debts. I wish Gordon had put Peter in a really naff uniform.
Peter is psycho.. He's nuts.. Oh my God
The Italian family was so typical..
I hope not. Perhaps in batshit crazy US.
I didn't get to watch the entire video but I laughed at Gordon swatting the flying pest in the trailer.
This is why I HATE city life, filthy environment.
Martin says great food , great service and him saying that and apparently believing it is a perfect example as to why he needed to be fired.
