I just got my 26” Bolton Fat Ebike TODAY!! Needless to say I am thrilled. My husband helped me put it together and I got right out and rode 20 miles!!! The throttle is wonderful and the peddle assist is great!! I saw this video in the evening after we already had it put together but it still helped a lot!! I went back over the bike and made sure everything was done right!!! If you are thinking about getting a Bolton Ebike DO IT!! You won’t regret it!! Kyle gives you a great bike at a reasonable price!!!!

This is the perfect video for me! I ordered a bike from you (it’s even blue like the one in your video) and it’s due here tomorrow, perfect timing on the video, Thank you can’t wait to get riding. (by the way, I am recovering from an accident where my pelvis was shattered, being a 58 year old not in the best shape, I needed something for rehab and an ebike is perfect! I will peddle as much as I can but I have the power to get me home when I get tired or to sore. I would probably never be able to be able to use a regular bike again but this will give me the freedom to enjoy biking and heal faster at the same time! Thanks again!)

example - i bought a use rad mini and the battery was not charging. took over an hour of searching online to find out about the fuses the battery has and where they are " hidden ". replaced the 5-amp fuse ( used for charging ) and battery now charges.

Hey man really love your videos!! Can ask question i ordered a fat tire kit that comes with a 26amp square wave controller I would like to upgrade to a 30 to 35 amp sine wave controller(or equivalent) I can get from you if you sell. But I found out my 52volt 17.5ah battery I bought seperatly has a "30 amp "BMS' battery management system. Does that mean I can't upgrade my controller past 30 amps? Thanks!

Exactly what is needed; Got my bike last week and had a loose battery holder/tray and was afraid to ride it and I feel foolish in saying I couldn’t get the battery off. Jessica responded to my email pretty quick and walked me thru getting things tightened up and made sure I had the other bases covered. This is my 1st Ebike and I vacillated for 5 months before pulling the trigger. I am really impressed with the bike and the torque from the get go. I feel NO NEED to reprogram for more power. If fact, I have been experimenting with lower power/speed limits. I have a few hills on the riverside trail here in Colorado and this bike rocks! I played around with the throttle initially but now rarely use it. Amazed with power even though I am transitioning from a small motorcycle. Very happy with the responsive customer service as well. If anyone out there is still hesitating about buying a bike, Just DO IT! You will be so glad you did.

I strongly disagree that the "first" thing to do is charge the battery.
#1 thing should be to CHECK THE VOLTAGE and manufacturing date (if possible) of the battery you just received, and *Check for ANY damage* If it's over 1 year old, I'd seriously question the seller about it. If it's over 2 years old, I'd request a suitable replacement. Note the manufacturing date of the PACK does not guarantee the age of the individual CELLS within the pack, they cells could be much older than the pack, but it can be an indicator of possible age/storage issues.
If after inspecting and conducting the basic checks THEN if everything looks OK you can consider charging it. *Do not leave any lithium pack unsupervised while it is charging...but ESPECIALLY any pack you are charging for the first few times* Serious flaws can be hidden inside the pack and they can first show up when the pack is fully charged thru a few cycles.
Your findings may show it could be dangerous to charge the battery pack, or it was abused prior to or while being shipped to you. For example, if a 36V battery *pack* measures less than 30V, that battery likely has been under stress which can lead to early-life failure. Some very high quality li-ion cells can handle less than 3.0V *per cell* some even as low as 2.5V *per cell* using new technologies, but many contemporary cells do not. If you can get the specs for the cells from the seller and/or manufacturer, that would help you determine the lowest voltage that is considered viable before the cell is significantly damaged.
Your findings can be used to document part of any dialogue you have with the seller regarding possible concerns, warranty, DOA, etc.
A lithium-ion battery pack should be shipped with a charge ranging from about 50% to 80%. Anything less or more indicates the battery was probably under stress at some point, of left to self-discharge for much too long before it was sent to you. It could have been stored and/or shipped in an improper state.
e.g. various groups have slightly varying limits for state of charge during storage and shipping, but a few I consider reliable state that upon receipt a 36VDCnom lithium-ion battery pack generally should have 60% to 80% of the full charge it can hold at 42.0VDC. Other battery chemistries may have a different full charge voltage and different shipping/storage requirements. Generally speaking, a seller should never claim it "fully charged" the battery pack just before shipping to you, as that is illegal in some countries and/or against the rules of many shippers and regulatory agencies.

Tighten all the parts--most use 3 allen wrenches they give you and 10 mm wrenches--then after you tighten everything--triple check it.Ebikes stay at decently hi speeds all the time.I am on my 2nd day of owning one--former mountainbiker--ebikes are just great. Also after you tighten everything--practice.The motor actually gets these going very quickly--I even almost went into a ditch today because I was going too fast during a very slight turn.I did 23 miles in 2 days (I used pedal assist 3 and had only one bar of power used--and 3 was able to handle everything--i do have a 750 motor) on a variety of terrain--from hills--to trails--to city park--to thick uncut grass and had no problems--you can also discover stuff--like a graveyard that has several off road trails through it that I never knew existed. The offroad abilities of these are an 8 out of 10 on a fat tire.I have a CSC 20 inch fat tire XP and it is like a big BMX bike that can turn into an offroad moped with the push of a thumb. Also the motor has a lot of torque and makes dealing with traffic easier since you can get into the low 20 mph range in about 20 yards or so.Be careful.

I made the mistake of getting a 32 volt 500W bike.
the range is less than 10 miles and is too heavy for pedal power alone.
    I should have gotten a 750w or 1000w bike.
the controller and motor cant handle a bigger battery, and I don't want to spend another $1000 dollars on a bike.
I doubt anyone is gonna want to buy it for less than a 50% discount.

Hey 👋🏻 as I have been watching your videos I see the details you put into them, the information is explained in detail so that your customers get the best results out of them. I’m interested in the assistance and power these bike can give those like me who enjoy a nice ride but feel because of our disability it could in-fact help us to get out more. Lack of oxygen can stop and slow people like me from doing this activity, so this gives me hope to ride with my grand children and there families. 🤩 thanks 😊 for your videos 👍🏻

You really have some great videos, so much information and help you offer, this one I find extremely useful since I will be buying my first fat tire ebike. Wish I could just walk into a bike shop and buy an already assembled bike but the 2 I am considering aren’t sold in bike shops. I already own a Magnum electric bike but I want that “ Fat tire” experience.
I am somewhat confused by your RadPower videos and the the fact you sell accessories for the Rad. That is the other bike I am considering. The video where you compared the 750 motor was eye opening.
I wouldn’t mind paying the extra for the 1,999 bike you sell, love the color choices. China made drives me crazy but what else isn’t these days. Every time I think I am ready to buy I read a negative review. Perfect world I could do a size by side test.

I would like to get my wife an EBike. I have the Rad Mini but she seems too intimidated by it to try it. It's a bit big for her at 4'10" but I think mainly she is concerned it will get away from her and she will crash, even if we get one that fits her. I have a Cycleops bicycle trainer and I was wondering if this or something like it could be used with my Rad Mini or other EBikes to get her comfortable with throttle and pedal assist before venturing out on free rides? We are in our late 70s if that makes any difference. We both have riden pedal bikes quite a lot in our younger days.

I got my 24’ bike last week and set it up like the video. I haven’t gotten a chance to ride it yet I have an issue with the rear brakes handle pulls easily to the grip, and my battery has a lot of side to side movement even after tightening the screws. Afraid to try it out because it may not stop and the battery mount could fall off while riding on rough ground. Very Disappointing☹️

Bought one just like that one yesterday. Great walk through for setting it up. It was the way you do your reviews on the different bikes that made me want to buy from you over other suppliers/bikes. You seem to be able to give a honest option without bashing the other guy. Was looking at rad rover which costs less but has lower grade items on it. The cost to upgrade that bike put it over this one for cost. I will be putting some items on this bike to make it my own. Things like fenders and bags.
This was bought to help me get to my favorite metal detecting area, 6 miles up a closed to motorized vehicle road in the woods. That's a long walk to walk around looking for coins and gold, let alone walking back out. This bike should ease that.

I want to upgrade grade the LCD controller with a 750 watt W42 volt 25amp motor.
For better speed. Will this cook my electronics?

Basically I want to know if I can put a 750 watt controller 25 amp 48 volt on a bike that is 500w motor 22 amp in 48 volt controller without cooking my stuff and being prepared for a motor upgrade down the road

Who is the manufacturer of the ultra full suspension 1500w?
Will you eventually upgrade your full suspension to 1500w?

The blue color POPS! Especially with the silver rims. Most fat bikes aren't flashy, this one puts the bling into biking. Really like it.👏👍🏁

Ditch Klarna and use Affirm! Cost ya a sale from me anyway.

You can always use PayPal instead.

@@Area13ebikes Thanks for the reply. Paypal has gone nutz with their fees. Just a suggestion but Affirm gave me 4k and 0% for 12 months for another manufacturer while klarna denied me?! I have pretty goo credit too...Sad because I had 2 of your bikes in my cart to buy!

PayPal usually has a 0% for 6 months offer. I can't say why Klarna would have denied if you have good credit.

Do you have a recommendation for a service rack that can handle the weight of a ebike. For servicing.

I personally use the Feedback Sports Pro for all my bikes including my electric bike. My ebike weighs around 60lbs.
