When I was seriously considering suicide, one of the things that kept me alive was someone saying, ‘if you die you can’t listen to music.’ I cried because in that moment I knew that I already knew the beauty of life. How painfully beautiful it is. Today I am still struggling with committing to life but this video was a great reminder. I want commit to taking risks, commit to taking responsibilities for my feelings, and commit to allowing myself to feel everything that comes to me.
What are your thoughts on the news about Teal being blamed for convincing a person to commit suicide?
@@kristelynstark8066 To be honest, I was furious when I watched that news. Teal never convinced anybody. It was about her video on suicide, and what to do when your suicidal. In that video, she provided the viewers a tool, which was to imagine being dead and going back to source, instead of actually committing suicide. When I watched that video and used the tool on myself, I imagined being dead and watching everyone I know grieving, then going back to source. When you do that, you naturally want to come down to earth again. The tool was in fact to help us gain back the motivation to live, without forcing anybody to get motivated (which makes you feel even worse when you are suicidal). Teal literally saved my life that day. People, who were terrified of death, misunderstood her because for them even imagining death was scary. I do not believe death is something that is immoral or something that we shouldn’t talk about. Death is just a part of life. Without death, there is no life. And only when we embrace death we can truly live. Clearly the people who accused Teal for that had never been suicidal. The truth of the matter was somebody deflecting their guilt and shame of their child committing suicide onto Teal.

Well it is an intense articulation, I immediately thought about this one too. Whilst some part of me was laughing inwardly, it would completely shut up to all the other parts of me that were in high alert about what she was actually saying. She pronounced it so intensely because she was talking about all intensity in itself about seeing, hearing, feeling and ... well touching yourself.

For real, I consider myself an agnostic, so I'm open to new things but I don't particularly believe in anything. But for some reason this resonated with me. In other periods of my life I would've just just thought of this as quite useless, but not now, for some reason.

(Unlike Mr. Campbell, religion and contemporary mainstream science like to belief merely in the things they are capable of understanding, while ignoring or ridiculing things they do not understand. Tom Campbell's all-encompassing theory only contains two (- very logical -) assumptions: Consciousness exists and evolution exists. I therefore felt the need to use the term non-dogmatic.)

I think Teal hit the nail on the head with this one. I don’t believe I’ve ever really fully committed myself to my life. And then I wonder why it feels kind of sterile. I’ll admit that I’m a simpleton. I want to understand what Teal Swan is telling me, but it goes right over my little head. But I like her voice, and she seems like a kind person and that makes me happy 😊
I know what you mean. Please allow me to suggest the strategy that i use to understand what she is saying. First i listen from start to finish. Then i Listen in intervals of 2-3mins. then try to visualize what she is saying..Even the parts where what she is saying is clear, i visualize. I find that this creates a flow..then i watch one more time from start to finish. Her perspective holds alot of gems and also is very thought provoking.

The last part Teal was talking about, it's the reason why I still do my kickboxing training, even though I'm not taking any classes right now! I would have still been in classes right now if only I had the emotional support that I needed to keep me going. I'm probably going to get scold for this, but it doesn't matter how old you get, we all need, (whether we want to admit it or not), something or someone that motivates us to get up, go out here in this world, and make a difference in our lives, by doing what we love, and loving what we do! If other people cannot accept who you are, they don't accept the work of God! Remember: you only get One Life to Live! Make the most of it, while you still can!

One would find it very hard to grasp what you are saying if they have not been humbled in life and thought deeply about its purpose. Thanks for answering a question I've had for many years - why does pain exist if God was so compassionate and loving. You answered it for me here.

Several years ago, when I first became consciously aware of this concept I kept hearing lyrics from a song I love because it’s about the country I live in and love.

This is 3 years ago. I wouldn't have been ready to accept this perception then, because I was so wrapped up in religion. Today this message is meant for me, as this is exactly what life itself has taught me the past 4 years. Incredible insight, Teal. I can't choose that adventure. I already did and it led me to learn my limitations. The adventure turned out to be pain and learning to avoid experiences. I'm sick of the cyclical nature of these things. Whether I chose life, chose this life, or it just happened, I'm just going to keep doing this day by day because it's the only thing I can do now. Too many rules and too many years of getting hurt for just being who I am. Right now I'm tired and life keeps asking for more all the time.

“Source is in the process of becoming self-aware.” Woah. 🤯 I’ve never looked at it this way. I always thought of source as that perfect, higher, already-achieved thing that I was trying to tap into. Never made sense when people said, “you are source, you are higher self.” when I felt like a work-in-progress. But, if I am source and source is “in the process of becoming self-aware” than my journey within is me tapping into/contributing to/experiencing source. 😊

I think your message is very powerful and insightful, thank you for sharing it. How did you come to learn all of this? Where does this knowledge come from originally? There's a part of me that resists just blindly trusting everything you say, so knowing this would be very helpful.
To experience, to expand to grow, and to connect. All aspects of life are you and you are all aspects of life, within the paradox lies the nature of existence. To put it simply, there is suffering, but suffering does not have to be the thing that brings change, you are the change.

Is it possible to disagree with someone so wise!? Just one thing kinda made my face twist... When you say "imagine a world with no pain. There would be no new desire (for change), there would be no expansion, no movement." Thus making pain a necessary ingredient for evolution...
The reason why I disagree is that when i imagine a world with no pain, i can still imagine evolution (also change) ocurring because of energies such as imagination and inspiration. Once that idea becomes manifested it becomes a new element for interaction and perception within existence, thus creating new forms of co-creation in relationship to it. The joy of creation and co-creation inherent in that experience then gives rise to even greater inspiration towards the evolution of the original manifested idea. And with each individual life form adding a new element for co-creation, the possibilities for expansion and movement become infinite in this process! I very much look forward to this life scenario...
On the other hand I also understand that pain is necessary in our current state of existence, since because of ignorance or non-awareness, many (if not most) fragments of consciousness became distant to its original purpose of living Joyfully, and thus Pain became a necessary tool for us to become aware of our self destructive behaviours and to nudge us in the "right" direction. Because we have created an artificial reality beside the original physical creation (Nature), we suffer trying to thrive in such lifeless surroundings, which incite us to question this faulty "development" we call civilized living and ultimately realize Nature is our greatest ally in reconnecting with Source.
Teal, I'd love your insight on this... I'm infinitely grateful for your guidance and wisdom 🙏🏾
In some Eastern spiritual traditions pain is classified into two types: a type that has no redeeming value (often referred to as “suffering”) and a type that is an integral dynamic of fundamental experience (referred to simply as “pain”). I’m with you on the notion that pointless suffering is “not required” to expand the experience of life. All can evolve through the expression of “imagination and inspiration”. But, I think it may take a bit of conscious development to learn how to experience “pain” without “suffering” -which I think gets dragged into experience (albeit unintentionally) either by not being fully conscious, or perhaps by inadvertent self interference. (I loved the sensitivity interlaced in your response to Teals UA-cam video!!)

Yes, well the currently reality is that suffering and pain are existing amongst us, so best acknowledge it and process it than merely wish for an ideal world, lol. For me it is important to remember that the Source is Unconditional Love....that we are unconditionally loved as we struggle to remember and live from that understanding as we recognize the sacredness of all of life...the sacredness of ourselves, the sacredness of Mother Earth, the sacredness of the Universe....nothing is outside of that flowing understanding.
