Destroys Ike/Roy/Marthcina... Destroys Bowser and DK. Destroys a LOT of characters. This is probably the tech that I am most well versed in and your not wrong to say that getting down Ledge Trump DAIR and ledge drop DAIR is a clutch factor in a lot of matchups. I've turned losing games into a win off it more times than I've actually gotten solid wins. I have no bumpers set to jump, I have one set to grab actually for easy bomb play (including my Y button so I can jump Y jump L for continued z drop strings with no effort).

Keeps my thumb and my index finger from fatigue and is easier to do than just using Z or just Y but that particular finger no longer needs to make as many inputs. I did something similar with falco and how to go off stage with him. do you think you could do a video on how to edge guard as link when you dont have time to set up with a bomb? What are your main thoughts on how to get someone to go where you want them to? when do you use boomerang instead of arrow or even just simply jumping off stage yourself? I think this would be an awesome video and you definitely are the guy to do it! liked and shared!

Never really use it on stage, but just curious. I'm pretty sure bounces are tech-able, but is spiking on stage safe, can it lead to tech chases/follow ups, or is it better to keep mostly as an edge guarding tool?
Link's dair doesn't create a spike on grounded opponents sadly. So they'll always pop upwards. On stage you actually would rather hit people with the very very late hit of dair to get good combos. I included a few in my true combos video. :)
I actually developed this habit with normal controls because of my dummy brain thinking the bounce from a hit will get me back on stage, but just in case i miss imma do it like that
What i've been doing this whole time is: tapping away from ledge to avoid accidental online-lagged input fast fall death, and immediately pressing A+X (or A+Y) while holding down (delay to your taste), and then just sliding the down-stick input over towards stage.
I gotta keep it simple and stupid for my slow fingers and i'm usually drinking beer with buds which also makes my playing much worse. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL, YOUR LINK, AND YOU VIDEOS!

I must be confused. When I press down to release the ledge I only get one jump and he is spinning... when you do it he jumps straight up. What am I doing wrong?
@@LxZLink Haha, well people have been doing that forever. I remember Ryo (hype Ike player) doing the jump-back spike early-on in smash4, and I think you'll see m2k do a lot of them with Marth in melee?
link's air down a is one of the most annoying moves in the game because people who don't know what they're doing pick toon link and 90% of their attacks are down a
This is kinda unnecessarily difficult. People just figure out where your character's like, I dunno, spike box is? Jump off, and send your opponent to the abyss. You don't have to do this T-Spike shite for every spike. I don't, because it's unnecessary and makes spiking much harder.

It works well, but it's better to delay your jump a bit to make sure you dip nice and low :)
