The first time I heard my bloody valentine I was 12, and I was like "dudeeee, this is the best thing ever". Now I'm 30 and it's still the best thing I've ever heard.
I first heard them when I was 28. Now I'm 58 and they're still the greatest of all time.

@@vasoline5811 I actually recorded something along those lines earlier this year (it's still unreleased, but set for release on my next album), not vocals but a shoegaze track on which I use an Arabic oud for the solo, it should be released sometime this autumn.... and I just discovered this MBV song a couple of days ago haha, loving it!

@@vasoline5811 Sure thing :D it should be out sometime this autumn, I've almost finished recording the album... not only do I use oud on one track, but my microtonal guitar on that one and several others too, anyway I'll let you know when that track (and the whole album) is out!

A friend at work suggested MBV when she found I liked the JAMC, any the name kinda put me off and assumed they were a metal drone band, anyway I'm browsing CD's at my regualr record tore and I see the cover and thought "hmmmm, not what I would expect from a heavy metal band" so I asked to have a listen and within the first few seconds of the intro to "Only Shallow" I knew this was gonna be good and I literally through my headphones down because I didnt want my first listen to be through a set of cheap head phones.
Oh my gosh yes! lol. I knew of their name for a while before I started listening to them but I always confused them with the band “Bullet for my Valentine”. lol.
