That gave me many challenges but I found the interesting things that were certain colors and decals in this kit. Maybe the next kit will be the same model kit company, Academy. The more experiencing new model kits, the better I could build up even though it took much time to complete. Furthermore, next time I'll show you what kind of new model kit that I have a plan to build and when I will finish it. 딱 아카데미 설명서에 있는 컬러네요 ㅋㅋ 아카데미 바예호 색상표 이상해... 처음에 저 컬러 올렸다가 너무 달라서 락카신너로 싹 밀고 닼고그로 새로 올린 기억이.. 아카데미설명서 색상은 무조건 FS컬러만 확인하고 또 따로 찾아봐야해요 ㅠㅠ...
도색 설명서를 다 믿으면 안되겠더라구요~그래서 요즘은 실제 기체를 확인하고 색상 비교 앱을 통해서 바예호 에어칼라로 전환해서 사용하곤 합니다.
I ve built 2 of this Academy kit..and you have done a good job.
Just a thing..the upper gray is too dark.
The 2 type if ghost gray, in the real aircraft are very similar, so, in many kit, i use just one.
You’re right! I had a plan to build series of f/a-18. The first one of f/a-18 series was this model kit. At that time I had no experience to choose dark ghost gray. If you see next series, you’ll confirm that color. Thank you for your advice! :)

When you have to paint a plane in low visibility scheme, check if the decals are in different gray..
I have paint a F/A-18C but when i put the decals..the decals was in the same gray tone..so the decals was invisible..

I have to repaint the plane and choose another gray tone and decals version!
For the Hornet/Super Hornet, i suggest you to use only the light ghost gray (the gray for the lower side) so you can put more heavy weathering.
In fact, as you told me, I could get unexpected effects on the surface. The colors of decals have always prevented me from choosing ghost gray colors so I hesitated. It’s so nice to share our experiences. Thank you for your retreats!

Ok, now there is UA-cam with many tutorial while when i started, many years ago, the tutorial was own mistakes over mistakes and kits on the bin..

Does all the decals fits well?/perfect size?
Thank you for your question. Because I was in the other country, I couldn't answer immediately. Almost decals were perfect size as for me except two vertical wings. You had better make two holes for red ramps both side on decals. You can see a hole by an arts knife on a decal(19:29). Furthermore you need to use a mark fit and softer appropriately. I had a trouble keeping my balance to use them. According to the kind of decals, you need to balance the time to use them differently. In this case, you'll wait for 30 sec enough to be soft in the water and then use the mark fit and softer in order. any question, ask me. thank you. Have a nice day!
Just 1 marking or theres another decal sheet?
Just only one decal included furthermore if you paint a fuselage with a dark ghost gray or light gull gray color, decals will be almost invisible. 😅 That's why I use a dark gray. Just your choice!

비교적 다른 분야와 다르게 오랜시간이 필요한 작업이기 때문에 긴 편이 사실입니다~모형을 제작하는 입장에서는 2-3주 정도에 걸친 노력의 결과에 비해선 오히려 적다고도 볼 수 있습니다. 최소한 분량을 줄이고자 노력할께요~
