Its a snap kit, how hard can it be?
PLASMO - "Hold my beer!"
He would be a good german. Take something easy, then complicate it. Amazing work!
I learned something new from this video, like the fact that my jaw can apparently drop about three times lower than I always thought..
Plasmo’s models are probably the best I’ve ever seen
agreed
He's so talented. And so consistent!
Ebroin Miniatures is just as good tho, probably even better. But much less consistent uploader.
Same
Jesse H. Ya agreed
It looks so easy too when he does it but I know it is not.
This is not modelling this is art
You know, I've been modeling and painting for most of my life, but I have never been able to hack apart a model with such confidence, let alone put it back together BETTER than it was before. That's so damned impressive.
You and me both...on all counts.
Yay a new Plasmo Video🤩
"..it's easy.."
this will be my motivation from now on....
Men watch top gun for the jets.
Plasmo watches them for his models.
Except there were no F18's in TopGun
@@pilotcirwin Shhh
I just finished watching the 40 minute one he did on this plane and just realized something...I'm REALLY surprised, with his unbelievable eye for detail, that he missed ONE thing that you'll very often see with parked F-18s...one exhaust nozzle is usually open more than the other. IIRC, the starboard one is often much more open than the port. I have no clue why this is, but I've seen it in dozens of photos and in person at airshow static displays. That would've been very interesting to see how he would do that detail. This one, though, with the flaps, slats, rudders, and wing-fold is MIND-BLOWING. What a gift Plasmo has. I just discovered him and his videos today, by accident. And, I have ALREADY learned more techniques, solutions, and ideas in the three videos I've watched so far than I have in the past 47 years of modeling COMBINED!
9 seconds and a thumbs up... impressive
Lol...I give a thumbs up before I even start watching....because anything he does is always awesome.
I worked on these for 6 years. Good job. Just know that when the jet is running while wings are folded everything is straight. Only time they are bent is when the engines aren't running since no hydraulics are not going to them.
The person who designed this at Academy was probably very proud of their low part count and ease of assembly. Then here comes Plasmo, cutting it into pieces! But to be fair, you did a very good job, thank you for the video!
Outstanding eye for detail and the skill to make detail from nothing.
Plasmo's modeling skills never cease to amaze me.
1/72 working jet engine model when ?
Thanks. Good idea that is.
Awesome conversion. Having just watched 10 seasons of JAG I am loving the Hornet & Tomcat at the moment.
This takes "model making" to a whole new level.👌 It seems you're limited only by your imagination and, using this method, you can build any version of a machine. I suppose the next logical step is to away with any kind of model to start with and just build from scratch with photographs and a vast supply of styrene components. It's certainly fun to watch, even if it leaves me feeling somewhat inadequate. Wonderful work David.👍
Cheers for now,
Dougie.
Thanks to your videos i have started makin plastic models again, thank you! :)
I made this mod to a 1:48th scale F-18E some years ago, I got bored mid-way and it's still in a box somewhere. You have my respect sir.
*Hey Plasmo*,
I am anticipating that at some time in the near future you will not bother getting a plastic kit to construct a model with anymore - you will just simply make the whole damn thing yourself from a sheet of plastic, some modeling putty, a few pieces of wire, a few rubber bands and some plastic glue !
With your amazing skills, the model would probably turn out better than any commercially produce kit could ever be. Amazing work David, truly amazing.
I think the best thing you can, and you do it very well, is share the techniques you've learned and developed as a builder. You're very talented and simply by sharing these builds, you're doing a great service to the modeling community. Thank you, David, on behalf of all modelers.
Truly a total A+ grade vid on how to scratch build a conversion. Not using 3'd party resin or the likes. I have learned so much from this vid. Awesome work mate :)
Cool conversion! The model takes on a whole other look with these mods. From basic to expert. 👍
Plasmo the Jedi master of modelling
Always another level of detail. Inspired is what I am.
Man that’s one crazzzzzy conversion David, well done!!!
You are the best! And I don't say that quite often to anyone... I am more and more impressed with another video made by you. Congrats master
Incredible job as usual, eager to see what’s next!
David thankyou for sharing your modeling talents with us it inspires me and makes me thankful that my Dad got me into this hobby many years ago take care .Adrian
Wow dude, just wow!
David, an amazing tutorial as usual, thank you for another amazing video!! Awesome job on the conversion kit!!
Wow, absolutly stunning. Well done David!!
A few videos ago I jokingly said that Plasmo is not far from recreating the entire injection mould to get better results. It looks like that moment is closer than I anticipated. :D
Taking it that giant step further! 😎 Amazes me how you can turn a simple basic snap kit into something totally remarkable, including your own moulded resin parts also makes it stand out even. Great work as always 👌👌
I guss You are the best of the best modelers I have ever seen before in the world...
You are, hands down, a modeling genius!
Bravo! Thanks for sharing the whole process in such detail.
Your videos are so peaceful to watch. This truly is art.
Top-notch workmanship, easy-to-follow instruction, and excellent results. Thank you for sharing all of that!
I forgot you build model same as I do, This Plasmo guy is great.
I just can repeat myself: You are a master!
Dekuji! Vaše umění se mi opravdu líbilo.
The time and care you put into a simple model are astounding. I would love to see you tackle something bigger like a Trumpeter 1/200 scale ship at some point, even though I know they are insanely expensive and the upgrade parts cost even more. Maybe a Patreon reach goal...?
Your builds are fantastic and very inspiring. Thank you from Texas.
You sir are incredible. Every video blows my mind.
Can’t ever get enough of Mr Damek’s content, never seems to be afraid of tackling the most complex of conversions which make a run of the mill model, a masterpiece. I wonder David if you would accept a challenge to modify a civil airliner, say a 1/144 Boeing 747 in a landing configuration, full flap deployment with wheels hanging free just prior to touchdown. It’s a very complex arrangement, but I’m certain you would work a solution.
Modeling and video editing are both fantastic!
totally astonishing work...speechless
OMG one of my favorite airplanes from when I was a child! Thank you! BTW your channel made me start modelling :D I started simple with Gunplas and learning all the tidbits to get to a good level!
I swear. Every time I make a model. He makes the same one. But 100x better
Increíble trabajo!
Excellent conversion and fabrication process!
Hi David. One great video again! You are a plastic surgeon. Please continue.
Are you kidding me? This is extraordinary. You are THE master of scale modelling.
Wow! Your work is just amazing!
Thanks for the tutorial, Your skills are out of this world good.
1/72 is such a tiny scale. I'm impressed
plasmo is the person to make modifications to those 1:700 helicopters I have
Great channel and great work. Always waiting for new releases. Recently, my wife gave me a present F-18 1/72. I will collect it as it is out of the box just for collection. But the work here is amazing. I especially like the information content of the channel. The tool, the thickness of the plastic, the brand and the marking of the paint, chemistry are always indicated ... There is always a lot of new and useful information for modelers. It helps me to make purchases of exactly what is needed in stores. Thank you.
Amazing work as always! WOW!!
Very good to see your techniques. Keep them coming.
And I'm just happy when I don't glue my fingers to the model. Great work as usual
Plasmo model in 1 72 scale are pure magic
Wooooow!!!! I don't build models, only watch videos of you and others in UA-cam BUT I have to say this is the BEST video I have seen. Making modifications is top notch and they looked great.
Perfect as always! great work Damian!
Awesome job the "by yourself" resin parts!!!
Wow awesome work mate I love the detail.
Impressive work David
Plasmo, your work is amazing can’t wait for your next video😁
Absolutely outstanding work!! Love it!! Well done sir!
7:40 to save loads of time, and details on the plastic moulding, apply the filler with a stick in to the line, then gently wipe away the excess with a lightly-dampened sponge.
That was past masterful. I am in awe of what you can do.
David, today i want to thank you for your great Videos and thank you that you share your work with us. They are the reason why i reactivatet this hobby after years for me. And my first Kit (a BF 109 in 1/72 scale) after this long time looks awesome, thanks to your instructions. Please stay by your work and share it with us. Greetings from Germany. ☺
Well done Plasmo, not just for a beautiful conversion, but also for a clear and easy-to-understand tutorial!! That said though, I think I've still got a way to go before I can follow it and get the same results...
That's a lot of work but totally worth it! It looks great in the end!
Great conversion absolutely outstanding!
Wow, really awesome man!! Great work as always!!
Nicely done with the resin parts!
In a word simply Awesome work well done sir, well done.
your skills are unmatched.
Your videos have inspired me to do a massive project for my bedroom
Exceptional work. I like that you got such a nice build from a rather cheap kit.
David, you are a maniac. I love it.
Never ceases to amaze.
Awesome work again
Increíble!!! Parece a 1/32. Bravo David!
Fantastic! Can't wait for part 2!
Your so lucky to have so many models and modelling skills!
Now you are just showing off. Great work.
It is nothing. It is only a practice model for more funny ones. I have for F-14 much larger plans.
Looking good!
Simply fantastic.
I never saw so many CMK saws in one video! Great done! ;)
David......you are THE model guru
Fa 18s are my favorite jets, your videos are so good man
Very nice David!
Perfect build as always!!😀
This is by far your best conversion video to date David. Was wondering when you would start making resin upgrade parts for sale. Great plane to start that adventure. Thanks for dropping your knowledge on us. Stay healthy. ~Chase~
I don't want to make resin accessories on a large scale. I only made resin and molds for this because I am working on a casting tutorial. I do not have the time, capacity, and space to make a large number of accessories. So it is only one exception.
At the model company :"Next time just send that guy a lump of plastic!"
When life gives you lemons you make lemonade - when life gives Plasmo lemons he makes aircrafts.

I always hit the like button before I watch the video, since I already know it will be great.
Simply amazing 👍
Outstanding work as usual sir👏👏🤤 Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
