It's actually going to be just fine. They use the same technique that they use for Dragon Ball Fighter Z where it does this affect on any particles to substitute for any dropped frames so it would always play at 60.

It does say “rollback frames” for a split second during the online section so it looks like they didn’t compromise on rollback. Then I wonder if they did keep the crossplay as well? It doesn’t show icons for their platform when booting into a match but I don’t think that guarantees crossplay won’t be in there.

@SuperCeasar777 DBFZ run on the same engine as Strive and is made using the same technique, it's not like Arcsys made a huge tech leap between the two games. Strive was in development during DBFZ Lifespan.
The difference is going to be how the switch handle Rollback.
And the real issue with playing FG on Switch will possibly the connection when compared to wired PC.

probably a decision by Nintendo, not arcsys. afik nintendo makes all of the decisions on who shows up in these events, and developers submit trailers for unspecified "future events".

Of course they would advertise it. Free to play games make absurd amounts of money and often include big advertising deals. Even then, all the f2p Star wars game got was a snippet in a reel. And no, dreamlight valley doesn't count anymore. It left f2p years ago.
The same generally goes for sports games. Sure I think it's slop but it still sells like it's gold. It would be stupid to not advertise it. Businesses are solely driven by profit
There was a lot of free dlc for existing paid games, or ports of old games to switch. Strive certainly could have fit. However Nintendo could have decided to choose to prioritize the Capcom fighting collections because "old games with very few re releases in nearly 20 years" gets a lot more reactions than "3 year old game getting a (in my eyes) fairly inevitable port"
Or arcsys might have just not submitted a trailer for whatever reason. They could of missed the deadline to submit it, only made the trailer this month, or just rather let it stand on its own.

There's more DLC on it's way, but this means all the already released DLC fighters will be on a physical edition (that depending on your country's law, you may be able to digitally back up for personal use) and won't be lost to the eventual closure of their respective digital stores and expiration of the licenses.
