Quietly beautiful landscapes - soft rich colours. Good to hear of the hope after all the despoiling.

Scottish American here. My ancestors were pushed off those lands by the few Ahols who still run our world. I need to come back and spiritually reclaim lands my ancestors deserved from fighting in ancient wars.

Alex thank you so much for your channel.
I love your narration, your filming and as always, the importance of the subject.
You have a gift for putting the facts in front of us and stating there importance beautifully. If only there were people like you running the world instead of the insanity and self interest we get instead representing us. The underlying problem is always money of course. To sell a days Grouse shooting or a trinket made from an ancient Yew, wherever you look that is what is behind nearly everything. Alex thank you again for what you do. ❤️

Alexandra - Thank you. I am excited each time you upload, and your videos are consistently gorgeous, inspiring, and artfully made. Your calm voice provides the perfect narration - just the right amount of dialogue. You aren't afraid to hold long shots in silence, allowing the simplicity of living (making food, for example) and beauty of place to shine. Thank you for sharing yourself and the world you visit.

Lovely video as always! I loved your segment on the Yew! Did you know that the Yew tree is what is used for making Taxol? It’s used to treat breast and ovarian cancers. The Yew, and nature give us many gifts ❤

Thank you! 😊 Yes, read about that a few years ago but I have to admit, I hadn't thought about it when I made this video. So thank you for reminding me! Nature is amazing! 💚

How lovely that you got to visit the Fortingall Yew! We have an old one here in Surrey at Crowhurst, though younger at 4,000 years old. Someone thoughtfully built a wooden door in it in the 1820s. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Such a blessing though to still have these trees; what they have borne witness to. Mind-blowing. Really appreciate your content. Keep up the good work! ❤

I just looked up photos of the yew at Crowhurst! ❤️ Such a stunning old tree! Such a shame about the door though... There's a beautiful ancient yew in a church yard close to where we live and they recently dug a grave right underneath it damaging the roots. 😢

I have visited the Fortingall Yew tree a couple of times while staying at a holiday cottage at the end of Glen Lyon. It's an absolutely beautiful Glen, especially in autumn and winter. We saw a pair of golden eagles in Glen Lyon....magical! Thank you for this reminder of those wonderful holidays

That sounds amazing and how special that you got to see eagles!! 😍 Thank you for the recommendation! I just looked it up, we'll try to visit there next time we're in Scotland.

    Stunning landscape, stunning cinematography.
Bravo for highlighting the unnatural landscape (like much of Britain). Andy Wightman and Dr. Duncan Halley have produced some some good videos and a TED talk on UA-cam, if anyone would like to research further.
