Absolutely. I can't say that the food here in the Balkans is very inspiring. The dishes they cook are quite ordinary. We will be happy to leave eventually and get to Asia for some different cuisine. There is no foreign influence in cuisine here and nobody really immigrates to this countries and brings cuisine with them.
Yeah you can get those burgers all over. If ordering from a menu you need to make sure you are getting bun, or no bun version. Prices range quite a bit. That was $3.50 euro. At a sit down on the water the same thing, maybe slightly better quality... might be $6.50 euro.
@JayandSarah When are you going back to Sarande? I'll be there thinking next March. In balmy Nottingham🇬🇧 now through 4th of July for Independence Day celebrations🤣🤣
We aren't sure really. We planned a 9 month itinerary to start our retirement travel. We will not be planning that far into the future anymore. We want to be more spontaneous. Yes - balmy England. We could stay there for 6 months visa free, but I have no desire for England weather or prices.
You guys looked so hot, long day walking around I guess 🔥 😮 .... The place looked lovely to visit. You can see the money there for sure with those boats! The crepe looked far to sweet for me, and the corn maybe too salty, prefer butter and pepper on corn 🌽 However, the burger looked great value and tasty ! I watched your video making McDonalds burgers 🍔 a while back as you so wanted a burger ..... guess what Burger King is opening in Saranda very soon 😮 Enjoyed the video as always. It was fun to watch, Thanks !
@JayandSarah I saw the one in Tirana but never went. In the UK Burger King is far better than McDs. Anyway we will try it when it opens nice for a change ! Hopefully 😄
What was the distance of that walk and what was the time it took to do that walk going through four or five little towns? Jay, what type of phone and stick are you using to record all of this? And I agree with you on the expensive part of that walk I would not hang out in that area. Not my type of people just like you said " douche bags" @ 9:24. At this point for me this was my favorite part of Montenegro that you went to. I can't wait for more to come
Oh there is way more to Russian involvement in Montenegro than just rich folks living on the coast, that is for sure. Lots of interesting information can be found on-line about this.
@JayandSarah You would be shocked at what is happening in Bali with Russian and Ukrainian investment in the last few years. Sadly, poor Balinese farmers have been tempted and are selling off their rice fields. There is negligible infrastructure to cope with the influx of building villas, hotels, restaurants and beach clubs which the locals cannot afford to visit.
@@christineviking1578 yeah that sounds tragic. There has always been foreign movement of capital but the invasion of 🇺🇦 Ukraine has caused lots of capital to flow out of both there and Russia 🇷🇺. Lots of corruption and money laundering in the world.
Another enjoyable video. One of the greatest pleasures of travelling is trying different food. We always come back home with new recipes!

Burger King in Saranda.. oh my. If it's anything like the one in Tirana, it's overpriced and crap.

@@suzybirdy I prefer Burger King to McDonalds. But even the price of it at home was going out of control.

It was round trip about 8 km's. This is all recorded on GoPro Hero 11 with a Ulanzi grip.
Looks beautiful I believe there's many rich Russians living on the coast of montenegro
