PRISTINA, KOSOVO - A Hidden GEM in the BALKANS. COME SEE!
Visit the city of Pristina, Kosovo with us today. We spent a week in Pristina and wish we had stayed longer, it is that nice. Check out some food, wander the vibrant and bustling bazaar market. We discuss our thoughts on Pristina. Tour the promenade, see statues of Skanderbeu (Skanderbeg), Mother Teresa, Bill Clinton and more. We show you what might be one of the worst in use train stations in the Balkans, as well as one of the ugliest buildings around! From a war zone to a booming capital city in a still contested country, we show elements of support for US and allied support, show some monuments as well.

You don't see many stray dogs I only saw one in two months in my area. I live here 6 months a year. It's a European country, if you leave the old town there are many modern buildings that are very new and and non touristy. I'm from a Mediterranean country that has many bigger and way much older old towns than the one here, so I avoid tourist places like a plaque. Also my other home town is Los Angeles. It's (Sarajevo) a nice quiet city with nice polite people.

Yes it is clean for the most part. We didn't see much in the way of stray dogs, but there are cats. It is nothing like the situation in Albania which is by far, and I mean - by a large margin - the worst in the Balkans so far. There are strays and packs of strays here and there in Kosovo and also in North Macedonia. I am sure that BK did well. It will probably make a big impact in Saranda.

True, the only stealth fighter jet ever downed was the (invisible) F117 during the 1999 Kosovo War; fortunately the pilot survived and was extracted by the USAF rescue unit. After the war was over, the F117 pilot Lt. Col. Zelko, and the 'battery commander' Col Dani actually met in person but this time as civilians. (a) It's not a trip. Trips you go home from. We have no home to go back to. (b) Nobody "gave" us money, we earned it. Thanks for watching!

My parents are from Bosnia but I was born and raised in Canada. I'm moving to Bosnia this November for good. Canada is not the same Canada I grew up in, Trudeau destroyed it.

@@citrine6469 well, nothing is the same as when people grew up in it. The people our age in B&H aren't living in the same place it was when they group up either. Not sure how old you are, but I think many factors have changed Canada... and government policy under Trudeau can be considered as one of them.

Sarajevo is not really multicultural. Catholic and Serbian Orthodox Church stand there just for the show and to falsely portray Sarajevo and Bosnian Muslims as tolerant and multicultural. Also Sebs and Croats don’t see Sarajevo as their capital and only go there if they have to mostly for business. Bosnia and Herzegovina is western colony and a really bad place to live for Serbs and Croats. We would rather be part of Serbia and Croatia and live together with our people. Unfortunately because of the geopolitical interest of the West we are stuck in this corrupt colonial country with no real prosperity and future. We always have to be careful about Muslims because their only goal is to make Bosnia and Herzegovina national country for themselves and to strip Croats and Serbs of their constitutional rights as equal ethnic groups. They want to make us minorities. That is the real truth about Western Colony Bosnia and Herzegovina

Can one survive comfortably in Albania for ca. $1000 USD monthly? Comments, suggestions welcome.

One can certainly survive on it, everyone definition of comfortable is different. I wouldn't want to live on $1000 USD a month here personally.

Albania's economy is expected to grow 6-7% in the next couple years. Hope this gem doesn't become californicated (overpriced, overpopulated, overrated) too soon.

The entire balkan region has similar costs. The biggest risk in my view in terms of cost, is the rise of the LEK to the EURO/USD which is something the Albanian gov't is not incentivized to stop.. as most of it's debt is in Euro's and this reduces repayment costs. It is the only currency in the region that is experiencing this, and there are a few theories to why. To me it presents a problem long term for foreigners.
