Stranglethorn, a zone that truly lived up to the notion of a dangerous jungle. As a mid level, you were playing Russian roulette with your life entering this zone. Those feels at 2:35.
Vath121 Play on the nostalrius private server, it has like 4k people online average peaking at around 6.5 people online. I died like 50 times in STV levelling, zones are full of people just like in vanilla. New server.
stormz jeah vanilla server with 4k online ? holy cow i gotta try it out =) i used to play on feenix vanilla server but it never had 4k online , biggest numbers i saw were when aq40 opened and it peaked at 3.5k.
I remember entering this zone, not knowing what talent points are, not using my abillities, just autoatracking...How did I manage to get through life? No fucking idea.
When all of us were low lvl we took this music for granted, but now it brings back so many memories, especially to the players that stopped playing wow... It just makes me wanna shed some tears
I was looking for the troll starter music and I came across this, soooo many memories, getting jumped so many times to get the white lion Bangladesh I think his name was...
There was an undead rogue I used to quest with back during tbc and wrath in this zone. I forgot his name but he was one of my best friends on the Skywall server. Man those were some fun times back then. I miss the good old days.
Damn you nostalgia!!! :( I remember the very first flight to good old gromgol... I had an undead mage, lvl 7 or something, saw the 2 zeppelin towers and had no clue what those were... I climbed up and saw some zeppelin flying by... I stood on 1, and that got me to gromgol, I jumped down.. and got attacked by those Alliance... For some reason it scared the crap out of my ass and I logged out :S... This game has the best and unique stories I ever had and will have in any game.
depending on what environment I'm in, I always play the appropriate wow soundtrack in my head. Since I live in kentucky, sometimes I'll hear the elywnn forest music and other times the stv music.
I dunno if anyone else had this experience, but running around in the jungle as a low level noob. thinking, "WOW, DINOSAURS!" was truly great for me. RIP old WoW
Cant believe the old wow is gone D: . all I can say is it was truly amazing especially stv. I'm happy I was part of the the best MMORPG ever created back in the golden days of vanilla back when the game was actually somewhat challenging.. Looking back into lost time on this game, lost but not forgotten.
...troll rogue.....full vendor greys. Some guy in org chat suggested a raid on the alliance human starting area. I was lonly level 11, but the rag tag group of hordies allowed me to join. I remember getting off of the zep at grom'gol and just being blown away...it took us 20 mins to get from there to westfall. i was ganked, and time and time again ressed. It was then I saw my first set of elite guards. Clumsily, I stealthed and told the others I would be fine....Oh boy, those were the days.
The Great race of da Trolls! havin one of de oldest tongues spoken evah! Strangletorn be home to de Gurubashi, and we gon'ta keep it dis way! "Long Live De Gurubashi, Long live de Zandalari!" - Hakanzul Keeper of De Vale
If I could spend an eternity in a game, It would be WoW, seriously. I have spent like 5 years of my life there since 2005. I could spend millions if I had them. I have quit now, but I hope that the afterlife starts in Valley of Trials or Northshire Valley.
So much vanilla love here.. This was truly my favorite zone back in the day. There was always PvP @ Nesingwary's - rocking the stormshrouds & krol blade.. This area was the best part about leveling.
always loved this song, standing at booty bay hearing it or at the gurubashi arena, ah miss them days. Makes me want to go back to wow for them but i know they are over
Holy cow back then this place was NOT somewhere to taken lightly if you press too hard on your W key for half a second too long you're gonna aggro 2 tigers 3 panthers 7 raptors 5 trolls 4 murlocs 1 dwarf hunter and 4 ogres and then you're like.... erm ._. ..oops. x_x rip good luck re-spawning my friend! Lol
i can understand what you mean. after my 3rd character reached 80 i was starting to tire of the daily grind (daily random, weekly raid, farming emblems for gear). it's just the same old same and while its great for the new and casual community, too soon do us oldies forget about zones like STV and The Barrens and Westfall. I've recently put my 80's to bed and have started leveling a Priest, without any BoA gear, and am loving it!
@championkhan Playing WoW is like playing any other video game: It doesn't accomplish anything, but it leaves you with a great deal of fun and satisfaction... For the most part. Damn you Netherwing reputation grinding!
Can't do that while stunned...Can't do that while stunned...Can't do that while stunned... You have died. Release to the nearest graveyard? ** (music changes to Ghost theme)
All those cursed lvl 60 horde players ganking at Nesingwary's! I used to hate them now I would give anything to go back to those days of being ganked and furious at the ridiculously long corpse runs in STV.
Long time ago, of Vanilla time, i played my Human Priest, and there near this bridge (of video music), at river, i find Undead Priest with same level to. We make contact, and together talking one hour with Mind Control. ... i make good friend of other side. I forget 🙁 his name. Just i remember , he played his Undead Rogue to; and he is from Serbia. Maybe i can find him again,... God know,... i want, because we together make good experience of Friendship. 🙄 I hope ...
"As i was in your age, like 50 years ago, kid, i was a little trollhunter and questing around to reach lvl 60. That was real times. Not the sh.. like you doing nowadays."
What did Nostalgia ever do to YOU? You don't feel pain. You're Hidan, that strippy guy that doesn't feel pain, which is cool, but I meant it in an offensive way. Hidan is like you. You are like Hidan. You don't play these games , you don't know what nostalgia is. Nostalgia, is not something you should know. Go pray by your bed and read books in candle-light. Then read the bible or something. God, the torture I went through having to pray at the end of every assembly in Junior School....
I remember when I used to flag up and get meany stronger guys to kill me.. And in turn have the guards kill them. Who's the /real/ "noob" then, hm? It was worth it.
This music is great. Does anyone know any music that is similar? I've tried finding music that has this "jungle" feel, that is pure instrumental and haven't had any luck.
Stranglethorn, a zone that truly lived up to the notion of a dangerous jungle. As a mid level, you were playing Russian roulette with your life entering this zone. Those feels at 2:35.
this is so accurate. I was always looking over my shoulder in this zone!
Vath121 Play on the nostalrius private server, it has like 4k people online average peaking at around 6.5 people online.

Andrewf5251 I see Nostalrius going up and over 5k pretty often. I believe peak is 7k or so.
stormz jeah yes i just started and i see almost 7k ppl online it is pretty nice i can imagine what world pvp is gonna be like =))
I love how anyone who ever played vanilla immediately thinks of STV PVP upon hearing this soundtrack. Awesome.
I started with WotLK and still this place feels nostalgic. This is where me & my clanny made friends for future dungeons.
Ahh good old Ganklethorn Vale, make sure to watch out for that undead rogue thats always next to Gurubashi arena
I remember entering this zone, not knowing what talent points are, not using my abillities, just autoatracking...How did I manage to get through life? No fucking idea.

AziZune I thought that if you click hard enough on a mob that you'll kill him faster...so yeah

@@Lich137 And he never answered you again :(
I listen to this on the regular. Good stuff boys
3:56 is for the win. Reminds me of when I went to Hawaii.
Memories of Echo Isles...
Im sitting right now in Hemet's camp on my Troll Priest. I could sit here for hours reveling in all the good memories. I miss those days :(
So much nostalgia with this music...reminds of many wars fought for this once great vale!
THOSE WHERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND
Damn you nostalgia!!! :( I remember the very first flight to good old gromgol... I had an undead mage, lvl 7 or something, saw the 2 zeppelin towers and had no clue what those were... If only I could have the WoW soundtrack playing in my consciousness when I am out in the bush or walking around traveling.
depending on what environment I'm in, I always play the appropriate wow soundtrack in my head. Since I live in kentucky, sometimes I'll hear the elywnn forest music and other times the stv music.
Nostalgic song

Now you can come back :)
Ahhh Stranglethorn. My old friend. "The Green Hills of Stranglethorn."
Gosh how I loved Green Hills of Stranglethorn Quest line
3:55 - 5:00 oh god it hurts that music so nostalgic HNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG
So much vanilla love here.. This was truly my favorite zone back in the day. There was always PvP @ Nesingwary's - rocking the stormshrouds & krol blade.. This area was the best part about leveling.

"Are you bringing in any weapons?"
"Of course not"
"You're not changing Stranglethorn"
The memories of classic wow.... Now everyone is past that and noone is ever around the great places like this.
always loved this song, standing at booty bay hearing it or at the gurubashi arena, ah miss them days. Makes me want to go back to wow for them but i know they are over
@championkhan Man, 6 months ago you were the King of the internet. I take my hat off to you.
4:45.... greatness, one of the best themes in all of WoW.
The good old days. Fuck, and didn't feel at home there too some how? We took it all for granted
Lol
This was where you truly became a man.
This song reflects the tension of questing in STV so well. It's almost like they predicted it would be a warzone.
I love this music so much.
ALL THE TIME. omfg, id always intercept that island of trolls, and have no clue what they were there for. good times :)
so much memories

Nothing like rerolling on a new server where there were no level 60's so the battles in STV were truely epic.
this song can be enjoyed at Arathi Highlands (Witherbark Village) accessible currently in the bfa warfront battle portal. enjoy
@MrPackMan3D It's great to see others had the same experience as me
Stranglethorn Vietnam...so much gankage back in the day.
@RPmusicstuff yes. now when I see a dinosaur I think about which ability I can one shot it with, oh wait, my whole spellbook.
:(
this place is heaven for rogues on pvp servers and hell for every other class :))
NOSTALGIA OH MY FUCKING GOD WHY DO YOU HURT SO BAD
If I had a dime for every time I was ganked in Stranglethorn, I could retire comfortably.
this is so epic :D !
0 dislikes.
no allies were watchin this vid till now.
Sitting on the docks in booty bay watching the sun set
You will never get that wonderful time back ;_:
this zone made me fear jungles
Every time I listen to this it seems I hear someone going in to stealth... and then the sound of sap
@championkhan
Playing WoW is like playing any other video game: It doesn't accomplish anything, but it leaves you with a great deal of fun and satisfaction... For the most part. Damn you Netherwing reputation grinding!
Помнишь брат как ты шёл на этом мосту в поискам приключений
Can't do that while stunned...Can't do that while stunned...Can't do that while stunned...
You have died. Release to the nearest graveyard? **
(music changes to Ghost theme)
you should have some chill pills
@championkhan But it feels damn good, and entertains you for years of your life.
It's strong feeling I feel IT!
Ohhh, I remember how much good was hunt allies with my troll hunter in this place...
STV quests: kill everything in the jungle n give me the pelts
All those cursed lvl 60 horde players ganking at Nesingwary's! I used to hate them now I would give anything to go back to those days of being ganked and furious at the ridiculously long corpse runs in STV.
@keyboardarctica The truth is precious

"As i was in your age, like 50 years ago, kid, i was a little trollhunter and questing around to reach lvl 60. That was real times. Not the sh.. like you doing nowadays."
fucking great but one of the most dangerous places cant go there alone only in party, i always get dead there :(((
I feel the exact same way.
4:45 - epic nostalgy.
I hated the high leveled gorillas that would gank me :( Damn Reds!
@MochiDesire In my opinion the closest is Sholazar Basin music from WOTLK. It gives you similar feeling but not nearly as good as this music.
oh yeeeah :)
hmm, i think im going to start a new character and level him up, miss those days
@championkhan this is one of the most creative comments i've ever seen yet :D
Walking through the forest, just to be ganked by Hordies/Allis and mobs... Ah... I hated this place.
Good old Stv.

This music is great.
Does anyone know any music that is similar? I've tried finding music that has this "jungle" feel, that is pure instrumental and haven't had any luck.
Donkey Kong Country SNES - Voices of the Temple
PvP area, rapeing low lvls LOL Nostalgy
OMG 4:26 borderlands music -.-
Immediate gank.
