- George Parrot - aka Big Nose George - was a basic run-of-the-mill road agent. Trains, stagecoaches, general stores - they were all fair game for Big Nose and the boys. Sometimes he was successful and sometimes he wasn’t, but he was always down to try. Unfortunately for George the long arm of the law eventually caught up with the man; permanently and prematurely ending his outlaw career. And that’s only HALF the story! How many times did George have a noose placed around his neck before it finally stuck? What happens when a couple of Old West sawbones get their hands on a criminal cadaver? Good episode Josh. I couldn't help but think of Big Nose Kate also. But I also thought of the outlaw Flatnose George Curry that rode with Butch Cassidy and The Wild Bunch. Supposedly George Curry was also called Big Nose George also but I only read that once, everything else I read about him calls him Flatnose George Curry. Flatnose George was shot and killed by Sheriff Jesse Tyler while rustling in Grand County Utah on April 17th 1900. But I'm sure being the expert as you on doing research on Old West Outlaws and Lawmen you probably already knew all this. Can't wait for the next episode

Hate to be a wet blanket but seeing as historical accuracy is super important to me I have to point out that it is very unlikely this guy was from France. If he was he would likely be far more known simply because it would make him a more interesting and unusual character. Some people still referred to Eastern Canada as part of France back in those days. I have some family census that say my Grt-Grt-Grandmother was born in France but we know she was from Nova Scotia.
Why on earth did the doctor not use George's nose? Could have stitched it to the front of medical bag, or maybe attached it to the zipper... Seems like a missed opportunity in my eyes
