This was very insightful. Especially the bit about the methylated B12. The way I’ve come to the conclusion my migraines are histamine related is 1. I am guaranteed a migraine the morning after consuming beer or wine. Using the histamine removing wands helped which lead me to try taking Zyrtec the nights I drink and it has stopped migraine every time. 2.) my only other clear trigger is heat. I also don’t sweat so I overheat easily. Especially living in FL. Within a couple hours of being in the heat, a migraine is starting. Any other migraine comes very early in the morning during the nocturnal histamine rise. I’ve read copper is a factor in histamine processing… thinking I might try a copper supplement along with Beef Kidney which is naturally high in DAO. But I will also lookin into vitamins without the methylated b12. Being in child bearing years, I’ve used methylated b12 to be safe but will try the other types mentioned! Thank y’all!

Tyramine in foods is a big trigger for me but i never thougt about histamines ! Looks like more foods i cant eat ! I thin😮k all i can safely easy eat is meat chicken and broccoli yippeeee
People that have gut issues are doing better on a carnivore diet. If you have histamine intolerance avoid minced meat, cured, smoked and dry aged meat. Fresh cuts of meat like steak are ok @@jocko1283
Cottonwood fluff comes from the flower/seed from female trees. it is not the pollen containing part of the tree, which is produced only by male plants well before the female catkins appear. People mistakenly blame the fluff for their allergy symptoms but it is something else that is releasing pollen at the same time, for example pine. Cottonwood trees are incredible medicine as well as keystone species for river health and it's unfortunate that they gets such a bad reputation from misinformation.
What you said about inflammation and migraine...when I was initially getting treatment and the doctor was trying to figure out what was wrong with me he put me on a Medrol pack...during that time my symptoms greatly improved...once it was done they came back full force...which makes me think inflammation plays a huge role in what I have (the diagnosis is vestibular migraine...my symptoms tend to vm but also to MdDs and Menieres).
I took a vitamin mineral imbalance test, and it shows very low levels of L-Histidine. I have noticed some of the side effects of Histidine deficiency, but am afraid taking a supplement will result in migraines. How can increase Histidine, which appears to be essential, without increasing Histamine to migraine-causing levels? Just in case it is helpful, other chemicals that appeared as highly deficient in the test were SAMe, Germanium, Strontium, and Vitamin K2. Thank you for the video
Do you know, not everybody is sensitive to histamine. If you get the data, it’s only one factor of many that can be causing migraines. So I think that if you’re gonna do it by trial and error, just give it a couple of weeks and listen to your body.
You should have taken a histamine tolerance test. If you score under 40 you are an overmethylater. I came in at 21 and I have definitely improved my situation by eating fermented foods. I don’t take any methylated vitamins. 4:19 If you score over 70, you are an undermethylater. These folks should definitely take DAO as well as a supplement like trimethylglycine.

Exercise, coffee, having an empty stomach, etc. Therefore, having a balanced level of histamines is important, as well as not doing things that may induce a high volume of histamines being released within a short amount of time, such as high intensity exercise. However, I do also know that histidine plays a major role in brain function. So, if I am deficient in histidine, how can I increase my histidine intake to normal levels, without triggering migraines due to the increase of histamine production. Not sure if it's possible. Just trying to figure out how to manage migraines and stay healthy.

Hello from México. My father had COVID in diciembre of 2022. Ive read that COVID changes ower microbiota gut and triggers histamine. After my father had COVID he has migrane all day and sneeze all day and runny nose. Yesterday we went with a neurologist and i told him about maybe My father has his histamine high , he told me it was not the cause of his migrane . How could he know this is not the cause? I told him that he eat prune and his migrane for 2 days was worst , and i know prune is high in histame. Why would doctor didnt want to make some blood test to SEE if my father histame was high, i just don't understand

I've been a long sufferer from migraines and have been on all types of meds. Sometimes I would get them weekly and they would last for days. The headache seemed to return after the meds wore off. Then recently I also started developing facial flushing after eating. Not sure what was going on, my doctor ran a bunch of tests but everything came back normal. Then after reading some info online, I thought maybe it might be histamine related. So I started taking a claritin daily, and while it didn't help with my flushing, my migraines completely disappeared. It was immediate too. I have NOT had a headache in 3 months. Not even a mild one. I didn't think the two issues could be related. Needless to say I'm staying on the antihistamine.
why not track down what is the root cause (aspartame, Splenda, Sucralose, MSG, perfume, dryer sheets/detergents (Gain is the worse!), cigarette smoke, fresh newsprint, gasoline fumes, wheat, dairy, nightshades, etc). You really should not have to drug yourself daily to avoid headaches……something is triggering them so become a detective! Best of luck, I can’t imagine having a migraine that lasts for days! Also, look into the connection between low Magnesium and/or low B2 & migraines.

According to Dr. Teixido people with vestibular migraine typically have a history of migraine that lasts 9 years on average. They, as well, in childhood, experienced car sickness, sick headaches often triggered by fragrances, diesel fumes, etc..., abdominal pain which is actually abdominal migraine (I had all of these)...after migraine which often 'goes away' or overlapping migraine they get a diagnosis of chronic fatigue syndrome, a diagnosis of IBS, and BPPV, all of which may overlap for years but then finally goes away.....It generally takes decades to get the correct diagnosis. I had ALL of these symptoms beginning at age 5 and continuing right up to 2020 when I at the age of 70, after a virus, developed head roaring tinnitus, vertigo, balance issues, photophonia, hyperacusis, fatigue, feeling like I was on a rocking boat or walking on a trampoline...it took some testing to get to the root cause and finally after decades get a correct diagnosis. My symptoms also align with MdDS and Meniere's..I do have sensorineral loss in both ears, but it is in the low decibel range and doesn't affect conversational hearing at all. I'm in my 5th year and am pretty miserable right now b/c the neuro I was referred to for treatment decided my problem is anxiety and put me on meds which did help until I experienced interdose withdrawal and tolerance withdrawal. During testing for a root cause MRI revealed I have a cyst in the left maxillary sinus and I suspect it is playing a role in my current symptoms which have worsened. I see my ENT in June to find out and/or rule it out. I am however, much much better than I was in 2020...I have many good days with little to almost no symptoms. Sorry for the book, but this ailment/disease, whatever they want to call it, is complicated. My hope in posting all of this is to help others find answers faster than I did..I have 2 friends, both in their 50's who have the same symptoms as I do, and it has taken them decades to finally get answers as well. It helps me knowing it's not 'just me'...there are thousands if not millions just like us. In the UK, they list IBS in their vestibular migraine handout, explaining it is abdominal migraine, which is thought to be common in children, but not in adults here in the U.S...hence millions with IBS who may actually be suffering abdominal migraine, which is a vascular issue as is vestibular migraine. I can’t use medications daily without reacting after a week or so! I already use only a hand full of foods as most are causing headaches the morning after! Processed foods are no no! No fermented .. my vitD is always lower so constantly trying to raise! Yes b12 gives me headache! Can’t use xyzal after a year of great results I suddenly couldn’t wake up zombie! Now I can’t take anything that causes drowsiness.. fibromyalgia tight shoulder muscles I know I’ll get a migraine but this can be caused with foods triggering fibromyalgia!

any chance the B12 that you are taking is Cyanocobalamin? If so, it is made from Cyanide……run! There are 3 other types & Methylcobalamin is the most used. Dr. Ben Lynch has info on this one UA-cam……he is the MTHFR guru.
I did the lion diet for 2 months. I ate beef and lamb meat only with the exception of having some pickles with my meals from time to time. All my fibromyalgia symptoms stopped after completing the second week. I had severe muscle and joint pain, brain fog and daily headaches, and chronic fatigue. In the third month I started to reitroduce the foods I used to eat. Wheat is the worst, it causes instant brain fog, headaches and muscle, joint pain right away after eating it.
Gut health! Eat meat! Simple! Plants don't want to be eaten and fermented food causes problems! Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results!
Hmm, I don't think I said otherwise. Some people have high levels of histamine from problems like allergies or MCAS that does contribute to headaches, but that's not the case for everybody. I think all people with headaches need testing to figure out the root causes of their headaches so that they aren't working really hard to treat a problem they don't have.

I just ate chicken soup and ended up with a headache. It takes half to an hour to go away. I've been trying probiotics hoping this will help!!
