    Hello and thanks for the video. I have a lot of hot and cold water leaking out of the tub spout when I’m running the shower. I replaced the diverted valve and seat and there’s no difference. Any advice or things to look out for?

    Thank you, just fixed a leaking bath faucet, I did use the teflon tape and the plumbers grease. I think the plumbers grease was helpful, not sure about the tape.

    So I changed my hot and cold valve stems with good success. But when I changed my converter stem, now it won’t change from tub to shower. I have no idea what I did wrong here.

    Important question: so my hot water and diverter taps ARE MISSING the part where the seat/bib is supposed to thread INTO. What am I supposed to do??? Replace/convert entire system? I can not use new stems even with new bibs because the bibs will not seat properly it’s all loose with nothing to thread to. Any info will help

    Hello. This looks pretty identical to my 3 handle assy. By chance do you know of a kit that mostly just includes the stems (with or w/o the tools) for this set up. I don't need any new handles. Thanks much.

    • @TwoKeysStudio
      @TwoKeysStudio  2 роки тому +1

      The stems can be purchased separately, but they tend to run around $25 each. Maybe purchase a kit like this and keep the handles for spares??

    Tip: remove all the stems at once so they are not in the way of your seat wrench!

    What should I do if my nuts are partially in the mortar of the wall? Would a socket still work

    • @TwoKeysStudio
      @TwoKeysStudio  2 роки тому +1

      The socket should still be able to get it out. If not, you may have to carefully chisel the mortar out from around it.

    I replaced my diverter valve and now it doesn’t send water to my shower head. Can it that when I took out my old valve the washer was broken, could the broken piece got stuck where the water goes to my shower head. Cause now it just drips water from my shower head. Thank you 🙏🏽

    • @TwoKeysStudio
      @TwoKeysStudio  2 роки тому

      Yes, that is probably what happened. Something similar happened to me once on a hot water valve. On that one, it wouldn't turn on. A small screwdriver or spring hook should be able to fish it out.

    Is the stem a standard size.

    • @TwoKeysStudio
      @TwoKeysStudio  Рік тому

      The thread size is a standard size by brand of fixture. The length varies by brand and type of handle used.

    Where can I buy the washers….wont stop running…paid a plumber $1,000 to come replace stop my bathroom from leaking…1 year later leaking again..I just need to replace the rubber washer I believe

    • @TwoKeysStudio
      @TwoKeysStudio  4 місяці тому +1

      @michaelcapps8877 they can be purchased from any hardware store and are cheap. The rubber ones don't last very long. They sometimes carry another type that are nylon or maybe silicone that lasts longer. Take the stem with you to the store so you can match it up.

      I used what I had already ( screwdriver, channel lock wrench, and pliers). Now That you have taught me easier to use tools. I plan to buy those if I can find them. I also knew nothing about the seat in the back. This might be why my husband replaced the valve a few times before he passed away and why I am doing the same now. I am going to wait until tomorrow to replace this and go to the store fir the seat and wrenches I need to put it back together correctly. Again thank you very much

    Does the Shower Valve Socket Wrench Set work on the Rohl thermostatic cartridge ????

  • @haroldreyes7549

    No. AFTER you get the new stems in there, THEN turn water on to check for leaks. The Aesthetics come last!!!

    I have one just like this (only two handles, hot and cold) and when I tried to remove the cartridges because they are leaking, only part of the cartridge came out. Any tips on what to do other than calling a plumber?
    I replaced them once before and this time they don't want to budge.

    • @TwoKeysStudio
      @TwoKeysStudio  3 роки тому +1

      My best guess is that you removed the piece of the valve. There are two nuts in there and the one further back is the one that you need to remove. The other option is that the rubber washer unscrewed itself and stayed in there. Needle nose piers should be able to get that out.
