We need more feel good humanity life themed movies like this ..!!! Anyone ever wonder why they don’t make many movies like this anymore , it’s almost like they want everyone to be in a constant state of fear and anxiety , weird … 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ Keep it up Angel !!!!!❤❤

Well that, and I would also say almost gone are the days when there was neutral content where everyone could enjoy a film or a show because it was just a feel good piece and didn’t swing into territory that went way too far down into left field.
Saw this movie back in 2015. 3 years later, I did the Camino. I must have liked it, because i've done it 3 times now. I can't say a lot of movies changed my life, but this one did.
I saw this movie years ago it is great! I wanted to do this and now I am disabled and will probably never walk normal again. My advice to anyone is to don’t wait do it now.
I don't know the ins and outs of your condition, and I don't need to as its none of my business, but I thought you'd wanna do that the Camino can be "wheeled" too. There are routes designed and inaugurated specifically with accessibility and adjusted services in mind, although they don't seem to always be great to manage solo so maybe strong-arm a friend into going with ya! My advice to you - as often as you can, think beyond your limits, even when it feels ridiculous :)
I have own a cinema room, and over 1000 blu rays and such. I love cinema. But this movie (film as we English say) has stayed with me for years. It has so much heart in the production alone but the actual film is amazing. If you have two feet and ever felt something you'll watch this and be left thinking what year will I do my walk.
I'm Belgian and Catholic. I made the 800km camino del Norte, Irun to Santiago, 10 Years ago.. A true life-changing experience. This movie is very realistic and powerfull.
Good film. It was different than I thought it would be, I liked the story, enjoyed how Mr Sheen handled this role. That pilgrimage has been done for about a thousand years. There's been many books that use it as part of the plot. The history is fascinating.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. And people want to walk their own ways. But there is only ONE Way to salvation and its Jesus. Repent, turn away from your sins and believe in Jesus and the Gospel. Jesus is returning soon, He is coming. Wake up people can you see the signs of the last days?
I was done with angel studios promoting a hollywood sheen. 2010 release is better. but when researching that i found that angel studios was mormon created. now i need to look into that!
@@jdriver1419please, don’t. Look at what Angel Studios creates. We will be known by our fruit. Leave the lies and innuendo to others. I’m Catholic, but I love my Mormon brothers.

Assuming the Sheens didn't get the notice that Catholics don't spread their ashes;+) Actually the Church decried cremation for many centuries. Burning the body which was once the tabernacle of Almighty God is an act of violence. The pagans would publicly burn their bodies to mock the Christian doctrine of the resurrection. We need to get back to actually believing what the Church has always taught...Her wisdom is a good guide:+) God bless~
@@ods1123okay, thank you. that's good to know for looking up court records actually. What happened in that household growing up to create such a monster as his son Charlie?
Is that charlie sheen? I know thats charlie sheens father driving and emilio estevez as the director!!!!! So it's almost the whole family in this movie because emilio is also part of the sheen family he just kept the original last name to make his own name for himself.
This is not a Christian movie but it's one of those movies that attracts Christians because of its premise. It ended up being really weird and none of the main characters had any interest in connecting with or learning about their faith whatsoever, but just making a pilgrimage for other reasons. It was kind of frustrating to watch people go on an historically religious pilgrimage and just drink and socialize and never spend time finding out why others historically tried to better themselves through prayer, scripture, and religious observances. I don't recommend.
It was a warm moving film, but watching a "faithful" Catholic spread ashes on a traditional Catholic pilgrimage, is glorifying the desecration of cremains, and is an unfortunate premise that mars the whole story. Its not something that will ever be consistent with the Church doctrine on bodily remains, and of course this film just makes it seem like its outdated and the boomer needs to accept change. Its really too bad that's the case, because otherwise the movie is a nice Catholic film about a father and a son finding peace after a lifetime of differences.
@@JP2GiannaT His father is definitely an old school boomer Catholic. That is why they don't get along, because his son is kind of a hippie. But then he's off an scattering the ashes and telling the pilgrims about it like its perfectly normal. The whole movie is about how he has to learn how to properly love his son, whom he never understood enough to really love for who he was, because he is so traditional and his son is not. But the scattering of ashes thing they just gloss over.
Saw it years ago, and I still remember it. I will watch again.

fear, pain, anxiety, hate, all make money, its as simple as that. Producers run the industry, not the artists.
His only son dying is your idea of a 'feel good' story?

One of the most underrated films. Strongly recommend.

Great movie. I had the privilege of walking the Camino de Santiago with my son, and good friend back in 2013. Best thing I have ever done for myself.

I don't think they're supposed to be observant Catholics; the dad finding his faith/priorities after the death of his son is a big part of the movie.
