Congratulations, Joaquin Phoenix. Outstanding performance as Joker. That was an powerful excellent speech about animal rights and beautiful tribute to your brother, River. 💙
I've seen three of these yet. VERY contoversial ranking incoming: 3) Joaquin Phoenix - he himself is doing the best he can and has a lot of great scenes, but sadly can't overcome the forced writing and the weird editing that takes away his own impact by at parts literally avoiding reaction-shots from other characters, got to deduct points for that. Not his Best Performance, but still taken for itself very good. 2) Antonio Banderas - a more quiet, subtle Performance that is more consistent and hits all his challenges perfectly 1) Leonardo DiCaprio - maybe his very Best Performance, he plays several roles in a way, hitting all the right notes, with immense complexity, terrific comedic timing and perfect chemistry with Brad Pitt

As soon as Joker was released everyone knew that he would win the Oscar no matter who he was up against.
Joaquin Phoenix deserved to win for Joker 🔝
Taron Egerton should have been nominated for his terrific Elton John in the underrated Rocketman❣
Maybe that’s why Egerton got snubbed…

It should have gone to Banderas for Pain And Glory
