I love how reasonable Andy is. Like he's just asking why they took his keys and who this pumpkin guy is and why he's down here. He just wants his keys back man.
Actually, I think there's a _HUGE_ deeper symbolism in that point. On the surface, obviously Andy's friends stealing and hiding his keys is silly and nonsensical, but it makes chilling sense when you consider the theory that Andy = Thomas and the other characters are the trapped souls of his family and Arthur. Think about it: Andy (Thomas) lived with his loved ones just fine, until his home life was destroyed and stolen away from him - all because of his loved ones; Louis drowning, Isabella despairing, Kamryn kicking him out, and Arthur cheating with Kamryn. Andy, representing Thomas, _figuratively_ had the key to his home - his means of a happy life - stolen from him by the tragedies surrounding his family. And of course, Andy has no choice but to play-along with his friends' demands for minigames, just as Thomas had no choice but to deal with the trauma of losing the ones he loved. The Barn connects even more so; Andy's friends force Andy to enter a dark area just to get his keys, and he ends up meeting a mysterious figure (Peter) who offers him little choice except to partake in some game. This parallels Thomas himself, who felt compelled by the tragedies surrounding his loved ones to go to some dark lengths to get his happiness back (i.e. getting keys back)and met the Entity who offered Thomas no choice but to play along with its sick plans for the false hope of getting his life together again. Andy in the game also only meets Peter by continually descending down the dark stairs, just like Thomas only becoming fully-possessed by the Entity after a major descent into dark, grief-filled madness. Even more so, Peter pointedly forces Andy into a game of tag in the darkness - in other words, a chasing game, parallelling the Entity forcing Thomas to forever chase his hopeless goal of reuniting his home life again to no avail.

Overall Andy is mighty positive to all he sees and lives in this game, his first thought when he gets locked in a dark barn with an eldritch creature waiting for him is: Oh boy! I should find a light
So, me and my dad decoded the binary that Mike wasn't able to. What we got was "Cared from what happened she couldn't even us the truth. It wasn't her fault." We're thinking that the letters obscured on the top line might mean that "cared" is actually "scarred", and there's a word missing, which would be tell. We also worked out the Ceaser Cypher, it spells out "Thomas, don't ask for hclp, nobody can save you now". The way Ceaser Cyphers work means that the c in hclp is intentional, so that's pretty interesting. The final bit of binary with Peter the Pumpkin comes out as "cared" then "ppene". We think this is just a repeated glitch from the first binary file, since ppene probably comes from ha"ppene"d. I should point out that when I say "me and my dad", I mean "I was watching the video, he saw binary, and he decided to decode it"
I just realized if this was a normal game, you would get a Apple guy that has very mean “friends” who steal his keys, make him do things for them, before closing the barn door on him on purpose when he is showing clear signs of fear of the dark while he just wants to get a key for his house.

Notice how Andy said "Wait who even are you" to Peter, and since it is known that the person whos in Andy's virtual body *was the one who made the game*, implies that Thomas has never ever made Peter the Pumpkin as a character for the game in the first place but rather a creation of the entity in his head.
@@tringle8872 personally I feel like it fits more like what the op assumed, due to the fact that while unaware of what they’ve done and things of the sort, in the Christmas dlc it’s certainty hinted more at that Andy is attempting to remember what happened before being in the game, not to mention how much power the entity holds over him and the others in the game, outright being able to change its form and revive real people through making them characters in the game, so it wouldn’t be very far off to say that the entity could infact make a character for itself Edit: another way to say this is that as Andy as a character is made to recognize those who are his friends as characters, the fact he doesn’t know who peter is implies that the character was most likely not coded by him
The binary translated is: “cared from what happened she couldn’t enenus the truth. It wasn’t her fault.” Just saying the eyes covered some of it up so I may have gotten some of it wrong.
Here's the story. Louis and Bella were on a rowboat, when a black figure pushed the boat. Bella survived, but Louis drowned at the bottom of the lake. Soon, after Thomas, and his ex wife divorced and soon after Thomas burned his ex wife, and daughter were burned. Later, Thomas's friend axed him and after he was killed by demon.

This kind of horror is my favorite kind. This is also why I think the Walten Files are such a great horror experience.
okay so there are some caesar and binary codes that werent deciphered in this video: 7:30 But It Wasn’t Her Fault. We Weren’t Alone That Night. I Don’t Blame Her. 8:20 Kamryn 18:15 Arthur King. NOBODY CAN SAVE YOU NOW.
I feel Thomas DID bring this upon himself and his family. You don’t ask an eldritch entity for help and not expect it to go “sure now just confirm your payment, will that be in souls, blood, or credit?” It was a stupid haphazard attempt to get cash that blew up in his face.
To be fair, it seems Thomas admits this; at the end, one of the secret messages does say that he "never wanted it to turn out like this", implying Thomas only realized _AFTER_ the demon-deal-souls--trapped-in-the-game stuff that he royally screwed over himself and his loved ones more than anyone probably thought possible.
@@mrreyes5004 he probably thought he was dealing with a different kind of entity. He was trying to get an entity that loves deals, but got an entity that loves screwing people over and causing pain instead
so basically, they died and their souls are the characters? man i love games like this with a storyline. also, andy deserves his keys back, mans been so chill the whole time.
I have a theory about the second saved file. It’s probably have to with Logan Eastwood, since he uploads videos about the game and finds other secrets we can’t access and he probably was a previous beta tester. Edit: I looked at his bio and I realised he’s (probably) not a beta tester. Logan is related to Thomas, (because he said he found a game on his great uncle’s computer or somethin) and it looked like he wasn’t REALLY a beta tester. Or maybe actually, WE’RE Logan. I have no idea, I just got into this game so we will find more lore when the game updates.
The biggest thing that sticks out to me is the contradiction over Louis' fate. The secret text after the fishing games says that he did indeed die, drowning "at the bottom of the lake", but the scene in the barn only states that he is "missing", it doesn't give him a date of death like the others. If he was indeed dead, why only state him as "missing"? That's a very deliberate and interesting choice to make, because it brings up some very big questions. 1) Did Louis actually die that day? If not, how did he survive and why did the rest of the family not know? If he did, why mark him down as only "missing"? 2) If he did indeed survive, then going off the fact that the other characters in the game represent/are possessed the dead involved in this situation...who or what is inhabiting the Felix character....?
perhaps Louis is pulling some strings ? maybe the shadow creature that was "pulling back" Isabella wasn't pulling her back at all, but rather being created ? after all, a ghost that refuses to fade away can be described as someone that refuses to die (which explains the death date not being shown, but instead replaced with the missing date) then perhaps it was angered at Thomas' constant blaming of his sister for his dissaparation, and as such forced him to do all of the horrible things shown. plus he is the only one to smile during the "birth date-death date" sequence... why would he be smiling or laughing when it changes to his missing date ?
That game feels like a cursed game creepypasta made to scare your friends from early 2010's, relying mostly on this somewhat cheap zalgo, but done well from backstory point
The noise, in the glitch where Andy walks away from his car, walks in snow, peeks in the house, and listens to the conversation, then when he enters, everything seems burned down, it's like the noises SuperHorrorBro is talking about. Andy is quite the strangest character.

@@timd9545 I'm relatively sure there's cyphers that scramble vowel-for-vowel and consonant-for-consonant, but heck if I know what those are called besides "less blatant than when you just shift things up/down".
Here are my thoughts. There are two possible explanations to this. 1: The demon scene is actually out of order. Prior to any of the events shown, Thomas consulted a demon of some sort for an unknown reason (note the book, knife, and blood on the ground, indicating he took part in a ritual involving drawing his own blood), but things went horribly wrong and his family died as a result. (This explanation is less likely, seeing as every other event is entirely in order.) 2: The demon was pulling the strings all along. Maybe they were the spirit of someone who wanted revenge on Thomas, maybe just someone who wanted chaos. Whatever or whoever it was, the demon wanted to cause Thomas true pain. It pushed Louis off the boat, holding Isabella back so he would drown, later killing Isabella as well. It possessed Thomas and caused him to eventually burn down his own home, killing his wife in the process. It forced Thomas to kill his best friend, making him watch as the life left his eyes. Thomas likely tried to destroy it using a ritual (see idea 1), but it only made the demon stronger, and it provided him with an agonizing death, consuming him before using its newfound power to trap the souls of them all in a game where they would never be able to escape. To make sure of this, the demon placed himself in the game to guarantee none of them would escape. Unfortunately for the demon, it failed, and the family was able to communicate with the player once the game was beaten and the barrier that is the 4th wall was broken. Along with this, the modernized technology of the game tapped into the memories of the souls and revealed the story of their deaths; the story that we are seeing today. Edit: Found something interesting, gonna look deeper into it. If the youtuber who made this video has a discord or something, reply to this comment with it because I might have a breakthrough
Considering Thomas didn't want this game to fail, he made a deal with a demon, sealing his fate and many more fates who would become connected to Thomas and this game.
I think there were nods to Isabella still being alive in the first chapter, as it's shown that those who have been killed by the evil entity have had their faces covered up by a rectangle bar... Although Isabella's face is covered up in the Christmas Photo, her face at 23:31 isn't... which would be one of the allusions to her still being alive in this game's story.
I like how more indie games and analog horror are using child like drawings and this 2d pixel game style. The idea of developing a game or horror story can be intimidating cause not everyone can draw the best or 3d model, but whether these horror stories use “bad” drawings on purpose or not it shows you don’t need immense artistic talent to tell your story, you can tell it with whatever you have access to and it could still be amazing!
Mike, there's something you should know. Look up Andy's apple farm Logan Eastwood. There's extra secrets on that channel that kinda make the game into an ARG. I think you might be interested.

I tried deciphering the code at 16:54, but I couldn't get a perfect reading. Every time I tried, most of it would come out as gibberish, but nearly every time at least one word would come out: Louis
To clarify something about the missing date or rather what I understand from North Woods Law. If the person is not found alive or dead they aren’t concluded as either. A 19 year old cold case still had a possibility of the missing person as alive until they finally found his truck with remains. Since Loius was witnessed drowning he should be confirmed dead unless he disappeared out of sight before succumbing to the depths. I’m looking far too into that but it makes me wonder if him being missing means more.
If I had a nickel every time there was a fictional video game created around the 70's/80's/90's with chunky pixel art and cartoon cutscenes with characters that had their own individual minigames revealing their tragic death as a human and paranormal revival through cryptic messages and disturbing imagery, I'd have two nickles. It makes sense that the entity becomes Peter pumpkin because Peter never gave Andy a choice to play tag or not, and the entity didn’t give Thomas a choice in killing his family and Arthur
Theory: The dark entity was created when Louis drowned. Louis's soul latched onto Isabella to punish her for not saving him and his hatred took on a life of it's own. I propose that Louis fell overboard because of something Isabella did. Most likely Isabella was fooling around on the boat and he fell off. Possibly they had an argument and she pushed him. Either way she didn't help him either out of shock or because she couldn't swim. This is why the entity appears on the boat partway through the boat scene. It didn't exist until Louis drowned. It latches onto Isabella, making her feel guilty and scared to tell the truth of what happened. Then it made her father hate her to further punish her for her inaction. This made her mother hate HIM and caused them to break up. By the time the fire happens The darkness is no longer a part of Louis, It separated and is now causing murder and misery for the sake of causing it. The final scene where it turns Thomas into Andy might be Thomas trying to defeat the entity. He tried to trap it in the game and it took him with it, along with every other soul it had claimed.
I have not actually experienced "omori" so I can't confirm. I'm guessing it's an anime about a ghost who haunts the person responsible for their death?
"Thomas met his friend Arthur in a bar." With who appears to be William Afton and someone else, possible Henry, in the next booth, throwing back a few rounds, after buying Fazbears pizza, and talking about how great their new pizza joint for kids is going to be.
Plus the time when you are not playing mini games or cut scenes it feels/looks like the mini games of fnaf 3 well only 1 cut scene feels like it like when Thomas killed his friend with a axe wait William afton used a axe to kill all the fnaf 1 people except golden freddy

In that case, the Logan Eastwood that you mentioned is the player and possibly the one who will save them but considering it’s a horror game that would be unlikely. If the souls are freed, then so will the entity void creature thing.
Louis Eastwood was what started all of this. What a coincidence that a simple trip with a boat that Isabella and Louis were in was what started all of the craziness that happened in the story.
it COULD be foreshadowing for more minigames to get bonus stickers, like after you leave the barn there's more npcs that have something else of andy's. and again, andy's needed to get MORE bonus stickers to get his house keys, or the barn keys back. perhaps the other souls that the evil spirit killed ( the one that killed thomas ) have also been trapped in the game somehow? that's just a theory though
There are a couple of things I thought might be references; first, the date for the Apple Acres tape recording is the 13th of April, the date on which Homestuck begun and an arc number throughout the comic. While this could have just been a random date, I think it could be a reference to Homestuck. Second, when the entity takes over Thomas, the line "When did I give you a choice?" is very similar to the line in Undertale on the Genocide Route "Since when were you the one in control?" and the face he makes is very similar to Chara's face after that line. Third, the line "Oh boy, I'm gonna have to find a light. It sure is dark in here..." could be a reference to the Hotel Mario line "Gee, it sure is dark in here. Did you bring a light?".
the character actually represents the story melody : Isabella Margaret : kamryn Andy : Thomas Felix : Louis clause : Thomas's friend it represents to their family story of each family
There is another secret you can get in Margarets mini game, where you just continuously click on her face with the cursor and she disappears. That's about all that happens though and I found it quite funny when it happened

Okay, I'll bite. Has anyone here ever dear of Digital Devil Story? Because the story seems kinda influenced by that old game. (By coincidence, it came out in the 1980's) I think Thomas may have created the entity through the "advanced tech" or was able to summon it to help him finish the game. That being said, the entity may feed off of despair has it caused multiple atrocities to happen to the family (The son's death, the daughter blaming herself, Thomas using the axe) I agree that the entity turned Thomas into Andy cause of the cutscene that most likely happened in march of 1983.
i think its really interesting that the county that louis went missing in is called "pumpkin county" and the character we know the least about is a pumpkin, i dont know what it means lore-wise, but interesting nonetheless and not something ive seen a lot of people talk about
I love that their names start with the letter of what creatures they are Here’s example: Andy=Apple=A Melody=Moon=M Felix=Fish=F Claus=Clock=C Margaret=Mole=M Peter=Pumpkin=P
Also interesting to point out that the scene where Thonas meets this entity, there is a book and a bloody knife which I think he used a ritual book and the ritual required blood.
Wait- I might have an idea about the pumpkin head´s identity.. So, remember the scene where we see a picture of Luis as Felix and hear an audio meassage of a police report about his "accident"? Notice how Andy said "Wait who even are you" to Peter, and since it is known that the person whos in Andy's virtual body *was the one who made the game*, implies that Thomas has never ever made Peter the Pumpkin as a character for the game in the first place but rather a creation of the entity in his head.
Huh, That's a possibility.
oh wow.
Or maybe the entity forced thomas to make him in the game so the other souls don't escape
@@tringle8872 personally I feel like it fits more like what the op assumed, due to the fact that while unaware of what they’ve done and things of the sort, in the Christmas dlc it’s certainty hinted more at that Andy is attempting to remember what happened before being in the game, not to mention how much power the entity holds over him and the others in the game, outright being able to change its form and revive real people through making them characters in the game, so it wouldn’t be very far off to say that the entity could infact make a character for itself
Edit: another way to say this is that as Andy as a character is made to recognize those who are his friends as characters, the fact he doesn’t know who peter is implies that the character was most likely not coded by him
also i like how they're both fruits, implying the similiarity between each other
I like how Andy is kinda aware and doesn't act like everything is ok. Like when his friend's stole his key and locked him in the building.

I feel Thomas DID bring this upon himself and his family. You don’t ask an eldritch entity for help and not expect it to go “sure now just confirm your payment, will that be in souls, blood, or credit?” It was a stupid haphazard attempt to get cash that blew up in his face.
Not to be that guy, but to be that guy, it’s actually “haphazard”. Other than that though, I agree.

It’s probably have to with Logan Eastwood, since he uploads videos about the game and finds other secrets we can’t access and he probably was a previous beta tester.

Maybe Louis didn't drown and the body was someone else's but if that's the case then how did everyone assume it was his
perhaps Louis is pulling some strings ?
maybe the shadow creature that was "pulling back" Isabella wasn't pulling her back at all, but rather being created ? after all, a ghost that refuses to fade away can be described as someone that refuses to die (which explains the death date not being shown, but instead replaced with the missing date) then perhaps it was angered at Thomas' constant blaming of his sister for his dissaparation, and as such forced him to do all of the horrible things shown.
plus he is the only one to smile during the "birth date-death date" sequence... why would he be smiling or laughing when it changes to his missing date ?

@@bluep3rz what cringy kid’s channels?
@@damiannn4102 you'd be surprised to know, I think.
(This explanation is less likely, seeing as every other event is entirely in order.)
2: The demon was pulling the strings all along.
No I think, but he has a Twitter?
I agree with thinking the ending was a ritual. So many good theories.

16:54 is a hexadecimal cipher, it gives us the brothers name which is "Louis".
So what happened on the boat was omori

I absolutely love this game, I just enjoy the style of it and all the characters. Even the way that Andy is aware that what his friends are doing is fucked up yet it just pressured into playing, the fear in his voice sent chills down my spine when I first heard it.
I remember seeing this game when my friend was looking for games to play, we really dodged a freaking nuke.
Would have been funny though

Theory: The Entity doesn’t exist, it’s just a fragment of Thomas’ damaged psyche and a manifestation of his guilt and insanity. It’s not a real demon, it’s merely a figment of his imagination
May be true
It could be true he just wanted an excuse to not see himself as a bad person.
okay but that then what about the whole haunted game shit? kinda feels like a weird overcomplication, not to mention that final scene looks more like a summoning ritual than anything else.
Then how did Thomas die?
@@ateddyguardian4282 Transported his own soul into the game? Maybe he did it to try and get his family out of the game by physically dragging them out but now they’re all stuck?
Idk, it’s just a theory
In that case, the Logan Eastwood that you mentioned is the player and possibly the one who will save them but considering it’s a horror game that would be unlikely. If the souls are freed, then so will the entity void creature thing.
P
Louis Eastwood was what started all of this. What a coincidence that a simple trip with a boat that Isabella and Louis were in was what started all of the craziness that happened in the story.
Amazing theory! But, how come there are 8 bonus stickers in the 2nd file of Andy's apple farm when there is only 4..?
it COULD be foreshadowing for more minigames to get bonus stickers, like after you leave the barn there's more npcs that have something else of andy's.
and again, andy's needed to get MORE bonus stickers to get his house keys, or the barn keys back.
perhaps the other souls that the evil spirit killed ( the one that killed thomas ) have also been trapped in the game somehow? that's just a theory though

Andy: “no I’m just here to find my keys”
Peter: “sounds great! Let’s play”

This game is super underrated. Seriously, needs more attention.
I know right?
It's picking up steam now
i love how Felix is smiling while some guy is explaining how Louis is missing
the character actually represents the story
melody : Isabella
Margaret : kamryn
Andy : Thomas
Felix : Louis
clause : Thomas's friend
it represents to their family story of each family

Okay, I'll bite. Has anyone here ever dear of Digital Devil Story? Because the story seems kinda influenced by that old game. (By coincidence, it came out in the 1980's) I think Thomas may have created the entity through the "advanced tech" or was able to summon it to help him finish the game. That being said, the entity may feed off of despair has it caused multiple atrocities to happen to the family (The son's death, the daughter blaming herself, Thomas using the axe) I agree that the entity turned Thomas into Andy cause of the cutscene that most likely happened in march of 1983.
I dunno if it's the same case as Loki, but I agree, I do see a sorta connection there
Also smtv hype
you sound so calm while explaining lore.
10 bucks the "special tech" has something to do with infusing souls with games.
I don't have 10 Dollars but okay
Lol
An oldie, but a goodie. (Hopefully.)
i think its really interesting that the county that louis went missing in is called "pumpkin county" and the character we know the least about is a pumpkin, i dont know what it means lore-wise, but interesting nonetheless and not something ive seen a lot of people talk about
Andy getting locked up in his barn by his friends is a reference to his family having revenge after Andy did to them in the past few years.
Agreed
I love that their names start with the letter of what creatures they are
Here’s example:
Andy=Apple=A
Melody=Moon=M
Felix=Fish=F
Claus=Clock=C
Margaret=Mole=M
Peter=Pumpkin=P
I love how the game specifically chose the word "irregularity" like a pirated Rareware game on the SNES.
Andy: looses his keys
His friends: so you have chosen death...
True
Also interesting to point out that the scene where Thonas meets this entity, there is a book and a bloody knife which I think he used a ritual book and the ritual required blood.
Clause: I spy something growing.
Me: **proceeds to click his crotch**
🤨
Wait- I might have an idea about the pumpkin head´s identity.. So, remember the scene where we see a picture of Luis as Felix and hear an audio meassage of a police report about his "accident"? (at min. 6:54 ) The Police Department invastigating is called "Pumpkin County Sherif´s Office". What if the pumpkin man was actually a Detective/Police Officer that went after Andy/Thomas, but got killed by him/ sacrificed to the dark entity/ sucked into the computer? Maybe that´s why we see a bloody knife and a computer box next to Thomas/Andy at minute 22:16, just before the demon appears to finally take *his* soul aswell.
(If you´re going to look into my theorie/ discuss it, pls give me credit, I would really appreciate that!! TvT)
who steals their friend's house keys and makes them fart around playing games to get them back, let alone telling them after that they stuck their keys in some random barn?
fart around?
