on a general note , I would like discuss on the flip side of this , when the world is running around with dollar as a base ,where billionaires have invested on that , there will be a natural opposition to pull crypto down as they would not want to lose value of their investments.

I have no idea how this is going to play out in the future. Buying BTC - I do not really have any experience buying BTC directly. Cannot really comment on that. Sorry that I am not of any help to you on your questions.
Please ignore if not interested. Based on my limited experience(since 2017), here is what i feel. 1) Bitcoin is not a currency(for now). It is slow and it takes a lot of fees to transact on it. 2) Bitcoin is a new asset class. People may use bitcoin as a currency in the future using the Lightning network but not now. 3) Tesla payments are refundable. Bitcoin or no other cryptocurrencies can be used for this because of the frequent price changes. 4) Tesla still owns more than $2 billion worth of bitcoin( bought for $1.5 bn). They most likely won't sell it for another 10 years. 5) China ban is basically the same news that i saw in July 2017 which caused a similar market crash then. They reiterate it, again and again, every year. 6) This is how China is for the past 5 years, - Trading bitcoin is illegal - Selling or buying for business purposes(bitcoin mining companies) is legal - Mining bitcoin with govt approval is legal - Mining bitcoin without informing govt is illegal(tax evasion) - Using Bitcoin as a currency for day-to-day activities is illegal(like in India). Bitcoin cannot repeat what it did in the past decade. Because 250% average yearly return for the next 10 years would make it $6bn per coin. But it will have a volatile bull market every 4 years aligned with the bitcoin halving event. The expected top prediction so far ranges from $200,000 to $10,000,000 per coin in the next 10 years. It all depends on whether bitcoin can grow the same way and adopted as an asset, store of value, or currency it is today. If this growth continues, it will have a great decade.

That is right. Mining is not guaranteed income. It is a race in case of Bitcoin. Whoever submits the first verified block gets paid.

Not a good idea. Take very small exposure on bitcoin or ethereum. I would not recommend anything else even for small exposure.
