Right now I use Midi Guitar 3, which works very nicely, but I also pre-ordered one of these. Looking forward to getting it. The fact you also get a looper is very nice. The hardware connectivity is also very welcome. I watched someone use one of these with a bunch of modular. Very cool.
You are the only one who has showcased the features that us users would be most interested in. Thank you for this! I am also curious about the arp and MIDI 2.0 capabilities of this!
It's probably the Contrast setting used in post-process. You can see on other of our videos in our channel that the brightness is actually much higher than this. And as Taetro said in the video it's a prototype so we're going to make it even brighter for the final version! Still finalizing our research for the fabric layer material on this matter as well.
I said that but I got a Launchpad Pro.. & I thought I wanted the physical keys but I find that the super light touch & accidental notes that happen because they are so sensitive.. but I was so wrong!!! I still have a keyboard.. but it's rarely used as the tactile performance is just way more fun!
Sick beat! I’m not against the interface, but maybe in the future they’ll find more ways to add some depth etc. I wonder if it looks cool under black light 😮
Maybe this is a silly question, but would be possible to control multiple external gears by using midi in/out with this? For example, a drum machine on Chanel 1, a sampler on Chanel, efx rack on Chanel 3, a synth on 4 etc? I’m asking that for those who rather go dawless to theirs gigs.
One thing the ROLI Lightpads have going for them is the scripting support. While Erae customisation is way easier and more flexible within the boundaries of what the EraeLab software provides, you can go a lot further with Lightpads via scripting code. Alas it’s super tedious and limited by Lightpad’s small internal memory space.
@@RealGrover oo scripting support? can you elaborate a bit? Does that mean you can essentially "hack" the lightpad to do more than what is on the surface? I am assuming if you are plugging into a computer rather than running it in iOS? either way, it sounds interesting indeed
This looks like a really fun bit of kit! Thanks for showing it off! I backed the project after seeing this video!
Nice man! Great overview and that loop was fantastic 🤘🤘
Next level midi performance/production tool. The dynamic tactile control alone is unparalleled.

Hardcore Roli studio blocks vibes. A shame they stopped when Covid hit.

Is the color not coming across in video or do the colors actually look that washed out? Maybe the fabric thing?

Brooooo absolutely fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Looks amazing. Do you have a comparison to the Seaboard? I'm asking about expression capabilities.
This is sick 🤩
Their mk 1 was already cool so I’m keen to so how this one shapes up
Yeah nah, I need my physical buttons.

Top.❤❤
How do you think it compares to the push 3 (not in standalone)?

Hey Taetro! How much are you using the unit on a regular basis since the months passed?
This unit was only a loner so I didn’t get to keep it!
I'm the first commenter and liker!
Looks nice, but to be honest......no. I want/need knobs, so the Push 3 controller is the one I prefer.
If you could feedback to embodme please ask them if possible to add an Euclidean midi sequencer and midi effects . Thanks
13:17 you can buy another fabric surface and there is a silicon surface...... you can also get "finger condoms "
Roli Light Blocks the mother .
Is this pressure sensitive...
Yep
Does the looper/recorder have undo ? ↩️
yes
@@edgarhemery6705 oh cool. Embodme really thought about everything 😅
look like better verion of roli block were trying to do

@@RealGrover erae has an "api zone" that essentially allows you to script the erae as well.
ok but, on every demo I get to hear...It kinda doesn't groove...
what kind of groove are you looking for?
i cant believe this shit taetro....
what's wrong
