O 😮 just found your channel 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 we just started learning the Alef Bet a few weeks ago. Will look into your channel. Love the cartoon story great for kids 💓
@AlephwithBeth oh did you mean your whole series is about biblical Hebrew is that mean that i won't be able to speak to people who speak Hebrew now?? I feel sad for this because your channel is amazing and there is no other channel that give me the same quality
Yes, the whole series is biblical Hebrew. If you follow our videos it will provide some foundation for learning Modern Hebrew, but you would have to learn a lot more modern vocabulary that doesn't appear in our videos to be able to speak with Israelis today. We hope somebody will make a similar Modern Hebrew course someday! 😊
Not exactly. There are some key grammatical differences, without mentioning the whole set of modern vocabulary which is sometimes derived from Biblical Hebrew roots and otherwise borrowed from other languages. Generally speaking, a knowledge of modern Hebrew can serve as a strong backbone to mastery of Biblical Hebrew, especially if fluency of reading and usage is an intended goal. I rest my case.

Is this the standard Hebrew?or what? If i could understand this will i be able to understand people talking Hebrew in Israel?
It's biblical/classical Hebrew, not modern Hebrew. There's some crossover, but it's quite different.
