Hey there Andrew! You were amongst the first creators i found after purchasing Aseprite and looking for pixel art tutorials. Huge fucking shoutout for fueling the ember of motivation and providing guides whilst being entertaining. Keep up the good work :D
Your channel is such an incredible and underrated one. The fact you are also into MegaMan with all of that pixel art information makes me relate too! Been a pixel artist for almost 3 years now and my main inspiration is MegaMan too. Love your stuff there
This helps a lot! Me and some friends are making an 8-bit platformer at the moment and I'm in charge of animating everything, so these tips will definitely end up helping me out a lot! I was just adding more frames rather than smear frames so I might have to go back and change a few things. Great work as always and I look forward to what comes next!!!
Glad I could help! I think smear frames are super fun (and much easier than truly animating every movement). I'm not sure how far you are in your game, but I wouldn't go back and reanimate right now unless you're at a good stopping point. For indie projects, it's really easy to kill your momentum by going back and redoing what's already been done. Eventually, sure, but the biggest priority needs to be getting the thing done (I say as someone who's never gotten a game done 😊).
@@RobinsonPixels Now you point that out, we are very far in. The animations look fine but I’ll make sure to keep your advice as I do more characters and everything else. Also, I’m sure you’ll get a game done one day. You’ve just got to persevere and keep at it!
Not much in terms of animation commentary, but I have started two games that I haven't gotten back to yet- Rayman 1 for the PS1 (downloaded on my PS Vita) and the first R-Type game, arcade version (for the Switch). In both instances they were "in between" games picked while I was going between bigger RPG titles, those kind of massive, play them all month long and maybe more, type of games... and then after I left them off I never went back. At least in R-Type's case I just played a level or two, but I almost got to the final stage in Rayman. It gnaws on me...
Ha ha, I feel you. I was literally on the final boss of Mega Man X Command Mission when I quit playing. I have no idea why I did that. I don't even think I fought him. I am absolutely gonna have to go back and replay the whole thing again one of these days. Speaking of Rayman, did you ever play Origins or Legends? They're the only Rayman games I've played, but they are so much fun.
Fun Fun!!
Sensacional! Essas dicas vão me ajudar bastante, obrigado pelo vídeo.

Great work Professor Pixel
Thanks, Andrew for another useful vid!
Now the only thing remaining is to sum up my courage to continue my pixel art journey!
Go for it!

Thank you! Glad to have another Mega Man fan onboard.
Good, simple and to the point! ❤
Gunther!!! He’s a good one.
Also, the graveyard of games is real. I still love Dungeon Janitor. That was fun.
Oh man, same. Such a shame that Shovel Knight came out right after we started, because I felt like our title was way too close 😂

This guy is quickly turning into the new pixel art creator of the Tubes. Love the content so far. Keep it up! :D
Thanks! 😅 Glad you're enjoying it!
