I think it's different this time, and they will convince him to play popular hits from I'm With You and The Getaway. Songs like Dark Necessities, Look Around and Goodbye Angels became staples in their live shows and concerts from the last 10 years.
Btw, I also have some alternative versions of RHCP songs, actually I take some intrumentals leaked which didnt become a full song either because AK didnt enjoy to write vocals for them or because he couldnt. So I take these instrumentals from jams of them and write lyrics and melodies for them. One day I will release these songs with a proper production since right now I do this only for fun in Smule.

It would be very interesting hearing a Frusciante-style rendition to this song given the acoustic guitar work/solo; as well, I think had John played during this era of the band it would have been a continuation of his playing style/sound from BSSM and maybe not the guitar sound most people are familiar with post-1999.

Can you take the live version of Josh playing Dark necessities from the Chicago live version+kaboo DN solo and morph an appropriate final Josh tribute version on recording? Go note for note because how he did it was more expressive of his full talent without studio pressure. I think we all deserve to feel the full extent of Joshs playing abilities on that song and to really feel him on Dark necessities at his very best! I request this because I think he deserves the tribute as a thank you for his time with the Chili Peppers and to do the song and him justice the way it should be done for all of us to hear.
