@@mrblobfish121 it was going to be three albums spaced out over a few years but they decided against that because they figured they would have moved on musically and been writing more music by the time the third one came out so they went with the double disc album

The main issue with Stadium Arcadium is that almost NO album should be that long, it just makes listening to the album a worse experience even if the songs themselves are good, SA should have been split into two albums, plain and simple.

They've said no, but hopefully that will change. I think they don't want to rush anything with Josh. Josh has said in an interview he can't wait to make a guitar album with Red Hot Chili Peppers, so I consider I'm With You to be a warmup, even though I think it's their best album since Californication.

Completely agree Nick. Teacup is my least favorite on SA album. All of the B-sides are better than that one IMO. But according to John "We had songs that I felt were better songs, But that one has that quintessential chili peppers sound, Soooooo that's why its on the record. (Shrugs shoulders and looks dissapointed) ". Source -Stadium Arcadium bonus material where they discuss the songs off the album.
