+Vincenzo L Totally agree, Pure Havane was a huge disappointment. I was supposed to LOVE it based on the scent profile. It is actually awful. It amazes me how much it's hyped, *so* over-rated, one of the worst in the Mugler line.

Pure Malt is just delightful. Pure Havane hasn't made me fall in love with it yet, but I expect it will, with time. I really hope they bring Ultra Zest back because I would totally grab that too. Gonna have to keep an eye out for Pure Wood.
Totally agree on Pure Leather; I tried a sample and was not particularly impressed. If I want to smell like leather, I'm gonna go with Dark Rebel or Tuscan Leather, depending on the situation.

Wow, you put the only three that I have as your top three! I wasn't expecting Pure Wood to do so well, but I acutally like it more than Pure Malt. Pure Havane is my favourite of the bunch as well, one of the few fragrances that I have a backup bottle of. Cheers! ;)

Just got my Ultimate in last week. I think it's a great scent. Longevity (on me) isn't TOO bad. It's a unique, and uplifting scent.
Great video and I enjoyed it and mugler is one of my favorite brands and i had mugler amen and i have amen pure malt and I like mugler pure havanne and I give them a nine out of ten and im going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
I agree: Pure Malt and Pure Havane are a couple of the best. However, I would put the original A*Men higher on the list. I own this one, Pure Malt, Pure Energy, and Taste of Fragrance. I wish Ultrazest came back so I could buy it at a reasonable price. Thanks, Ash!

After avoiding Mugler Angel Men line fragrences, finally smelling both the ori ginal and Havanne, I just went and bought Malt, Havanme and original. I love these and found out this video the most help. I find myself agreeing with you pretty much dead on. Same age range, and being around for the 80's and beyond.

Great channel. I haven't tried the entire line, but I still find myself reaching for the original more often than not. Took me a long time to come around to A-Men. I'm actually old enough to remember when it was new and the idea of any kind of sweet or what we'd now call gourmand elements in men's fragrances was something really unusual and to be honest seemed pretty unmanly at the time, especially coming just a few years after the uber-masculine style of the '80s. Seems a bit ridiculous with 20+ years of hindsight but just goes to show how much tastes change.
Just bought the Pure Havane for £36 after discount from Escentual... Looking forward to getting my nose on this when it arrives as i've watched many videos with heavy praise for it.

Just for fun decided to check up your list. Been restocking my collection during past 2024. Today I ordered Ultra Zest and Pure Tonka. Both for 300 euros. TM A*Men line is like a Hily Grail to me.
Haven't tried Pure Leather, but replace Kryptomint with Ultra Zest and that's pretty much my list exactly.

Pure Malt, Pure Havane, and Kryptomint are my top three. Pure Leather and Pure Coffee are also great. But I agree that the coffee isn't strong enough. It lasts only a few hours, then the coffee is gone. If it lasted longer, I would like it more.
Not a big fan of Ultra Zest. Smelled like an orange creamsickle vibe + Kyrptomint. The mint and orange was strange to my nose. But I shouldn't say that, lots of people get upset if you don't like it lol

I just bought the Pure Malt this past weekend. I love it. I'm just not to feeling the atomizer though. How many sprays do you do of the Pure Malt? I normally do 5 to 6 sprays....
I have an Ultra Zest which I like very much and use very often AND... I have a new and factory sealed (!) Ultra Zest in my possesion. So I don't understand why not review this beauty... Btw, I don't have a problem with any atomisers of the A Men line. Top 3: 1 Pure Havane, 2 Ultra Zest, 3 Pure Malt.

Do you ever layer? So reviews on layering? Pure malt with Demeter cardamom is pretty great. Not huge on either one by themselves, but together I get big compliments.
I started with Mugler by ordering samples of 5 of them, Pure Malt, Tonka, Wood, Havane and Ultra Zest. I still want all five but so far only have two bottles of Pure Malt (one I received as a gift from a friend's mom whose husband had it new and didn't like it. She sent it to me after I posted how much I loved it). Given up on trying to find Ultra Zest as it is so expensive now, but hopeful i can find Tonka and Havane still. Thanks for the review. i was going to get the Ultimate but after this i'm going to try to find a Pure Tonka instead :D

I love Pure Malt. It's fantastic!
Pure Havane definitely one of the greatest gourmand fragrances of all-time it's what the original A-men should of been and what I thought one million prive might be when I first smelt it.
Please even include discontinued fragrances. It informs us further if we should go after the discontinued fragrances, regardless of price. I go after discontinued frags all the time. It costs a lot, but if I think it's worth it I find it and buy it. And reviews and ranks of them helps me decide.
How close is Insurrection II wild to pure havane? I have the first one and actually like it A LOT. One of the best cheapies I have.
There's a video on youtube that tells you how to spray the a men correctly so you don't have to cut it anymore. Hope it will help someone. Great video by the way!
Ultra Zest was a throw in for $40. Use it twice a year since then. I’m on my second bottles of Pure Malt and Pure Havana. Also have reformulated Amen and Pure Tonia

I work at a cosmetic distribution center and they give out boxes to us every once ina while or sell them and I got A MEN pure malt in a box! And other valentinos fragrances as well
Pure Tonka and Pure Coffee are my personal favorites, but I haven’t yet smelled Pure Energy or Pure Leather 🤷♀️

Out my collection which is vast, mugler A*men is the most used and finished bottles, Pure shot and pure malt.
Pure Wood is definitely under looked and so easy to wear. Had to ease up on the use since my bottle is getting low

Picked up both Pure Malt and Havane last fall. Was getting worried about Mugler products being made by a different company in 2020 so wanted to snag them
@Nathaniel's Phone They're both different enough that you'll have to see if you can test em before you buy. My local Dillards has Malt on their counter, but not Havane. Personally, I prefer Malt. For no real reason in particular, but I do get slightly better performance out of it. With all of that being said, I've only ever had two people give me an unsolicited compliment. One of those was when I was wearing Havane (other was Prada L'Homme).

I own Pure Coffee and a generous sample of Pure Malt. Pure Malt is nice in the same way that Pure Coffee is nice too. The only difference is one is coffee for a half hour and one is fruity whisky for a half hour. Beyond that, to my nose they're pretty much the same (that A*Men Patchouli vibe).. I can't see adding a full bottle. Maybe Pure Havane will be different enough to warrant having a bottle in addition to Pure Coffee.

I've had to show the power of Pure Havanne, as I will usually wear Aventus or D&G light blue intense or One Million to work.... Everyone was doubting me... So as I had others check it out they came around, once the tobacco starts to kick in they were sold

I was also not impressed by Pure Coffee. It just seemed like a softer version of the original A*Men. Was hoping for more coffee. A*Men orig was my signature scent for years, then I switched to Pure Leather when that came out. PL doesn't get much love, and I'm sad that it's getting harder to find. I've started to wear Pure Havane more in the last year, and that may become my new signature scent if PL becomes impossible to find/too pricey. I have not tried Pure Tonka or Pure Malt. I may need to buy a bottle of those, while I can.

I was working at macys when these came out.the line blew up. What the workers took home they coulda opened a ebay store. You ever wonder why they never give out free samples .? Well imo that's why
Pure Malt was the hype monster when I first started watching fragrance reviews. I thought it was the most amazing thing I ever smelled when I finally got a decant, it was discontinued for a while and the prices online were crazy. So sad how they just keep getting worse

Pure Energy is becoming much harder to come by and currently is not listed on wither of the 2 big discounters. I bought several backups recently anticipating that supplies would dry up

Have looked for them but still haven´t been able to smell Pure Havane, Malt, Wood, Tonka, Ultimate, or Energy. I've seen the normal A*Men in some stores in the Bonn/Köln area in Germany, including airport, but none of these flankers.
