- In this video I’ve gone from a watertight room to almost being finished. The walls are insulated with 75mm PIR insulation which was then covered with a green vapor barrier. I opted to do tape and joint plastering which meant that the vast majority of my plasterboard was the finished surface and it was just the joints between the plasterboard that I plastered. Lastly, I’ve used a 12mm vinyl wood effect floor which clipped together for easy installation.

Just watched your series. Going to plan and attempt one my self. Great vids.
Just looking to take on the same project hopefully it turns out nearly as good 😅
Hi. I really like your videos. What is purpose and material of that green sheets you put under the plaster. It looks like plastic.
Hi Rasti, glad you like the videos! It's's a vapour barrier which prevents water vapour from getting through and condensing.
How long did it take you to complete the build?
Hey Kyle, it took about 6 months but that was just doing it on my free weekends. Everything seemed to always take longer than I thought it would!
Nice videos. Can you give em an approx price it cost you for materials for this whole build.
Thanks Darren! I'm working on a spreadsheet at the moment so I'll be able to break down all the materials for you. Watch out for a video in the next few weeks!
@@richclifford4571 great thanks
@@richclifford4571 Hello! I know this was a little while ago now, but would be curious too as to how much you spent, and the size of this office . . many thanks! These videos are great :)
I've been debating using ply sheets for my internal finish just because plaster is so pricey for a full skim. And part me can't be bothered to sand again for your method after just finishing decorating the house. The worst job ever
Haha it was probably one of the worst jobs! But it does look good. Plywood finish would look good too!
