The solaceon town reference
Could be referencing the old pokemon game
My pokemon ranch
I think that Cyrus stole crobat or is 2 faced towards crobat
Now I can't stop picturing Cyrus petting his Golbat and saying, "This friendship is a necessary evil."
The ranch dialogue may be a reference to Legends Arceus, but I think it’s a reference to the Wii software My Pokemon Ranch
That's what I was thinking, but it's funny that it sticks out now
Why shouldn't it be for the Pokemon game that literally has the word ranch in its nane?
I have a feeling they are all a nod to each other
As soon as he said the legends arceus ranch, i had to come to the comments to make sure someone already clarified that its more likely a reference to my pokemon ranch especially considering they came out fairly close to each other
Was coming to say just that because I remember sending a lot to it back in the originals
But the ranch thing is a reference to "My Pokémon Ranch" for wii, which was the mass storage game for original dp
He really should do more research. Or at least play the games.
Yeah I kept expecting him to talk about My Pokemon Ranch but then he just went on this whole tangent about how it connects to Legends Arceus.
@@CommanderWiggins yeah same I literally paused the video to make the comment cos it's such a massive mistake
To be fair, I think that's an easy mistake to make, and I wouldn't be surprised if he completely forgot that existed, because I definitely did.
I was a little saddened by that mistake because "my Pokemon ranch" was a huge part of my childhood.
The ranch thing is about how the ranch in My Pokemon Ranch was canonically in Solaceon town, but that doesn't exist in this generation, so the ranch was only around in the "old days" of the original Diamond and Pearl. So not actual in-game old days, just a meta thing, kinda like how certain pokemon have catch locations of the "good old" so-and-so region, i.e. the original games that featured that region
Not only does Cyrus have a Crobat, but more specifically, he originally has a GOLBAT. Which reinforces the fact that had to have evolved it within the plot of the game. He didn't just have a crobat from the beginning.
Honestly though he may have just walked around a lot cause that's all it takes
@@M_Alexander true
That's true, I'd like to think Cyrus has a softer more friendlier side he keeps to himself but most likely it was just a stolen Crobat since throughout the story we hear how the Galactic Grunts keep stealing pokemon from multiple people.
Maybe this time one of the grunts stole a Crobat and Cyrus decided to take it over the Golbat :/
But he's levelled up his pokemon during the game and whether that's done by battling or rare candies it still increases the friendship. He doesn't have to be nice to it just needs to not lose all the time 🤷🏻♂️
@@Justic_ sorry I was very wrong don't know what I was thinking 😂😂
Honestly when I read the new book in Canalave Library I immediately thought "wait could this be referencing a Pokémon ranger game/movie or the mystery dungeon series or something?" Since Manaphy is known as the Prince of the Sea and the OG method of obtaining one was to have a pokemon Ranger game.
Quilfish evolution sounds so amazing.
An additional detail, Gen 4 was the last Pokemon mainline game Gen to use parts of Japan as inspiration for the Pokemon regions. Such as Sinnoh, being based on Hokkaido, which you see with Sinnoh's landmass on the map being pretty much identical to the shape of that part of Japan. It was also the last Pokemon mainline game's Gen to use the current Nintendo handheld hardware at the time as inspiration for the Pokedex shape of that region. After D/P/Plt, Gamefreak had their inspirations for Pokemon at other areas of our world. For example, the next region after Sinnoh, Unova, is based on a portion of north america.
I think Cyrus evolves Crobat through deceptions, as he said the same thing when I fight him but the final one he sent is Weavile.
Couldn’t the girl talking about ranches in the OG DPPt have been referring to My Pokémon Ranch?
That talking about the pokemon ranches remind me a lot of the Wii-feature "Pokemon Ranch" where you could deposit an additional 1000 pokemon where they could roam around. You even got a mew doing so.
Cyrus's crobat situation can be credited to the Stockholm syndrome, or one sided love.. I'm pretty sure friendship evos can happen even if only one party became friendly..
11:20 Even more reason I'm starting to think that the next two Regis will be Regidark, referencing the Dark Ages in history where knowledge was lost, and Regipsyche, referencing the Age of Enlightenment.
Adding onto point 1, the Pokedex documenting all Pokemon is called the "National Dex", implying that all the regions (that have a Nat Dex) are in the same country. Otherwise, why isn't called the International Dex? On top of this, the regions are indeed called regions, and not countries. This might imply that ALL games with a Nat Dex fall under the same country
I think regions are like regions of an specific sport league, they literally hold a league so I think it's not always meant to be a region of political total power.
I see what you’re saying but wasn’t Alola referred to as the Alola region before it’s league is set up at the end of the game/anime
@@thecoldestknife1204 What I want to say is that regions are not based on a nation's total political power, having a league is an example that happens in real life, where also there are regions that don't host some/any leagues.
I mean regions are more like states or provinces so kanto jhoto hoenn and sinnoh are Pokémon equivalent of Japanese provinces and alola and unova the us states of Hawaii and New York
@@thepolarianempire But there's also Kalos and the Whole France, after all, france is already small to take a single political piece of it.
@@OOB080 and Galar which is like 3 countries in one
i feel like you should’ve done more research on if things were in the originals, but this is a good collection of easter eggs nonetheless
That rancher girl could be referencing My Pokemon Ranch a Wiiware game on the Nintendo Wii and I think My Pokemon Ranch was released around the time of D/P/P.
Idk. She mentions in the old days tho. PLA takes place in old sinnoh. And like she says, there are no boxes in legends, just ranches which serve as boxes.
Friendship could also be increased artifically through vitamins and berries right?
I think so
I don’t think the use of nationwide is being used how you think it is. When it’s saying there are other fan clubs nationwide I’m sure it means that there are other fan clubs throughout the Sinnoh Region but that one you’re in is the most outstanding one. Which makes sense when you consider it’s the only one notable enough to have it’s own building.
It could very much mean exactly what he said, but then the implications would be the same of... Well, the existence of the "National" Pokédex.
@@MrElvenbrother I thought the same, as far as we know the whole Pokemon world could be a single "Nation", or maybe not.
Aren’t they referring to My Pokémon Ranch?
12:20 Cyrus says "You've pushed me to this extreme." When sending out his last Pokémon. Which was Honchcrow for my playthrough. As he lead with Honchcrow and then withdrew it.
Would be cool if they showed Snowpoint Temple in its undamaged state in Legends Arceus!
“The Snowpoint Temple project has started!”
The ghost man and girl were the first thing i searched for in bdsp when entering the old chateau
Unova, Orre, and Alola are part of the U.S. region
Wait, Orre is based on the US?
@@some_man_tiks based on Arizona
@@fallenangel8707 makes sense
I always wonder if the Legend game is actually going to be based on Pokemon movies, mainly the four DP anime movies and The Temple of The Sea movie.
I don't think if the Crobat is a flaw in Cyrus or anything like that. It's very possible that his Crobat just likes him. Because the conditions for "friendly" evolution aren't exactly clear. It seems to me like the Pokemon just needs to like you, but it doesn't need to go both ways. Mostly because there was no way for you to actually show any level of affection towards your Pokemon in the games up until Gen 6 when they added the ability to play with your Pokemon outside of battle. Their friendship level would rise on it's own so long as you use them in battle without letting them faint too often. So Cyrus simply carrying and battling with his Golbat was enough for it to like him enough to evolve on its own without him showing any emotion towards it.
it's called "national dex" and not international dex so the whole one country thing makes sense. I always assumed that to be honest
Considering Gen 1 mentions South America, I thought this as well.
Well, considering that Gen 1 mentioned South America, I think the Pokémon world is on Earth but only that continent has Pokémon and is hidden from the rest of the world.
Also, the bike colours in the game, Red, Blue, Yellow and Green, is more likely a reference to the Gen 1 games.
8:20 Hisuian Quilfish and its evo have been leaked, and its evo has big spikes, like in the book
That last one I completely did not know was a thing in these remakes. Good on you, to have commenters besides me, who unlike me, brought that detail to your attention
The thing I think with Cyrus and the Crobat is, while the friendship is a requirement to evolve Golbat, the games dont say YOU have to like the pokemon but IT has to like you enough to evolve. While Cyrus doesnt like emotion and probably wont show it to his pokemon, it isnt to say he isnt doing whats necessary to keep them alive, feeding them, probably living in a house and you know keeping them alive while winning battles, winning battles levels up your friendship just a lot slower, he could of just put it through some intense training to get it to evolve
Why did he not bring up alola when he talked about regions in the US?
Am playing shining pearl 😁 loving it atm
6:18
Yeah, that was a line from that same NPC in the OG gen 4 as well
oh man I hope so badly that the book is a signal that we’re getting a qwilfish evo, I’ve wanted one for so long
In the Gold and Silver Beta Leak there was a Quilfish evolution so I'm wondering whether it will be similar or different
Maybe that's the new hisuin qwilfish
Im from the future, Pokemon legends arceus has a quest where you have to do what the book says...
The OG version of the swimmer’s balls comes from the line:
“Where does a swimmer keep her poke balls?
Woman’s secret”
IIRC it’s from gen 3 on the way to the second badge area when surfing from the first captains house.
Yes! Was hoping someone would comment this!!
😅 I was just staring at those regi patterns in the temple since I just got there in the game (spent hours on the underground looking for a Togepi and shiny hunting drifloon)
I do think manaphy will play a role in legends. I think that’s why we can get manaphy until February, after legends releases. I think there will be a special event if we transfer a manaphy in from BDSP.
Well, regarding the whole "Regions as Nations" thing, in the _Diamond and Pearl_ anime (or at least the English dub), Rhonda of Sinnoh Now once refers to the broadcast of the Wallace Cup as being "Nationwide". Maybe I'm misremembering her words, but I can swear that's what she said.
Currently playing BDSP, and it seems to be pretty good.
The ranch dialogue could also be a reference to the wiishop game "Pokemon ranch"
I honestly assumed that Cyrus just shoved a lot of vitamins into his Golbat. I can't imagine him really bonding with any living thing, let alone a Pokémon.
I always assumed instead of "friendship" it was more of an understanding of each other's power, like Golbat respected him enough to evolve
He probably evolve it through charisma and deceptions, or maybe it’s really like how Hoops said.
I believe he is indeed friendly with his pokemon. He even allows the players to save the lake guardians. Hes even questioned, why would our boss allow you to set them free? Maybe he wants his new world but doesnt enjoy hurting pokemon.
Orre (Pokémon Colosseum and XD) are based in Arizona, expanding the US locations in the Pokémon universe.
You really had to stretch and use head canon for some of these lol
Happy to see your still making videos man
So since the first 4 regions are part of the same nation, I wonder if that means Unova and Alola are part of the same nation then. Hmmm never thought about it like that
That first thing about the "nationwide", yeah, there are other fan clubs you run into throughout Sinnoh. The Chairman is just saying that one is better than the others in Sinnoh.
An easy way to raise friendship is by giving a pokemon stat vitamins, so back when the original DP games came out, there was a theory that Cyrus evolved his Crobat by pumping it full of drugs.
Now that legends arceus is released the bok in the library literally just straight up tells you how to get manaphy in those games
i’m pretty sure the dialogue about ranches is referencing the game “my pokémon ranch” on the wii, which was out around the same time that gen 4 was active
I think either Cyrus actually loved the Crobat and has emotion with it or he saw one of his grunts with it and said “mine”
Honestly and answer to why Cyrus has a Crobat is because he caught a fully evolved Crobat as well as a Gobat. My head cannon is that the Evil Team leaders actually have multiple versions of their team with Pokemon from the same evolution line and throughout the game they just use stronger Pokemon as you prove yourself as more of a threat. I mean Giovanni for the longest time had both a Rhydon, and Rhyhorn on the same team for some reason, I think they change that it Let's go but I don't remember. Thought I do think your explanation is funny, as well as silly to imagine.
Another neat Easter egg is in the Lost Tower on route 209. There’s a trainer named “Roughneck Kirby” who oddly uses a Cleffa as their Pokémon. This is a reference to the Kirby series as Cleffa is one Pokémon that looks strikingly similar to the pink puffball himself! I believe this reference was also in the original.
Cyrus literally walked all over Sinnoh, top to bottom, multiple times. He could have stat boosted his Golbat with vitamins and got its Friendship stat high enough to get it to evolve. But the thing is, that stat is _entirely_ one-sided. It's how the Pokémon feels about its trainer, _not_ how the trainer feels about the Pokémon. I think the "extreme" he was pushed to was having to fight with his most powerful team to get you to stop coming at him.
Not only can you use the D-Pad if you lightly tilt the stick you walk. If you can do that and press b to run, I don't know
The D-Pad + B isn't a secret most Pokemon players just lack reading comprehension, your Mom in the game literally tells you that you can either use the Joystick or the D-pad + B to run.
The presence of ranches in Legends and the dialog about them in BDSP are probably all a reference to Hokkaido's extensive dairy industry. Just after the beginning of the Meiji Restoration (the period inspiration for Legends), Hokkaido was annexed to the country of Japan, and they immediately began prepping it for the beef and dairy industry. They even went to the lengths of artificially causing the extinction of the Hokkaido gray wolf to protect the pastureland. In Japan, Hokkaido milk is famous and the prefecture is synonymous with the agriculture industry.
Easter eggs in these games are always fun to discover, good job capturing a bunch of them into these videos.
On the first one, the full dex is literally called NATIONAL Dex. So it's not THAT much of a hidden thing, really.
Plus...South America is mentioned in the Gen 1 games which would imply that all the Pokémon regions are in 1 country/continent.
I think the ranches the npc is talking about is the game My Pokemon Ranch from the wii.
5:16 could it be also a reference to the wii game "My pokemon ranch"? which was some kind of pokebank from back in the day
Is it also ‘nationwide’ in Japanese? It could be a translation thing only in English. Wouldn’t be the first time an English translation changes the meaning.
The nation Easter egg kinda confirms my theory that unova and aloha are part of each other.
Bro we not gonna talk about garchomp attacking that baby
the Good thing about the New Games is that the Regis you got from Previous Games will make you enter the Snowpoint Game so you can actually cheat in this Game I think IDK
3:30 where did yu get that Pokémon animation from would like to see the whole thing
Rock Polish: nice.
Pokemon ranch is a wii channel where you can import your DP pokemon and they roam free. That has to be what #2 was referring to.
The ranches one could also reference Pokémon Ranch on the wii
Here's hoping for cut beta qwilfish evolution showing up in legends
so hoops I need to ask how is pokemon cardinal season 2 coming along
My next project is coming along well! Hoping to share some info about it soon! Sit tight! 👀
The ranch dialogue is referring to pokemon ranch back from the Nintendo Wii
The Egg name oversight is also in Sword and Shield
2:23 is when the video actually starts
It’s not hard to check if things were in the original games
That's the NPC from Pokemon Ranch, the Wii Channel that connected to the original DPPt. It's a reference to Pokemon Ranch, not Legends.
The book in canalave tells exactly how to get the manaphy in legends arceus!
cyrus' zubat/golbat (that becomes crobat) is ken's wormmon (from digimon adventure 02)
If anyone has watched the Diamond and Pearl Series of anime, Cyrus actually had a LOT of emotions. It was the whole premise of him wanting to reset the world. So it's not surprising to see him using a Crobat
Las vegas is mentioned in the first season of the anime in the eggexcutour
5:19 There was also “My Pokemon Ranch” from the Wii, which was during Gen 4… so…
She specifically says in the old days of sinnoh. Original diamond and pearl are in the same time frame as BDSP. Legends arceus is in fact in the old days.
@@Jay-zi4mf it’s also in the old games so try again boss
It's canon, Nationwide, the building Society exists on Pokéarth!
The ranch thing is a reference to the old pokemon ranch
There are already 3 regions based on the US. There is of course Unova, but there's also Alola, and the often-forgotten Orre region
Is orre a dlc?
@@nitoyep3366 Nope, it's the setting of the GameCube titles
You can inspect the fridge and sink in the Galactic building at Veilstone City..
The where am i storing my pokeballs joke for swimmers i swear started in gold and silver
It doesn’t mean all regions are connected, just that atleast 2 others are connected to sinnoh
me : sees the cop
again : how do i get tea
The swimsuit pokeball joke is older than gen 4
So i guess bdsp weren't bad remakes after all. But i'm just gonna make a time machine and have it have more story like: Do pokemon and humans eat each other?
The ranch is a reference to My Pokemkn Ranch for the Wii, as others in the comments have said.
I disagree. As she referred to the days of old. Now im not saying 100% yes or 100% no. But I'm not sure thats what shes referencing
Cyrus probably just got that Crobat from a Galactic Grunt who stole it, considering how throughout the story multiple NPCs state that they've had their pokemon stolen by team Galactic with sole examples being early NPCs in Oreburgh and Veilstone when you visit the cities for the first time I believe
Just beat the canalave city gym and been holding b to run this ENTIRE TIME
Hey! Where’s the trainer animation on the begging from?? Where we see silver, n…
Snowpoint city is laid out in the shape of a snowflake
Pretty sure i remember the pokeball joke in the og ruby saphire

The swimsuit girl dialogue is in the original DP games
