Did I buy toys from the wrong line? - Pegwarmers

- Kevin recently went hunting at the York Toy Show and came home feeling like he might have been buying the wrong toys. With so many lines to collect, sometimes wires get crossed and opportunities get missed.

This was a fun episode Kev! Keeping track of what you have and need for your collection is always a challenge
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I'm decent at remembering figures in my collection, but accessories and condition gets harder.
Hell yeah, shout out to Toy Dept. I live in the Dayton area in Ohio, about halfway between Toy Dept and ROMA. I hit them both up fairly regularly.
Do you know GbV?
Oof, can't imagine carting that much glass around the country for shows.
Yeah, it doesn't sound like fun.
If you're interested in Rock Lords, the Transformers Generations line is sorta bringing the concept back this year with the new Armorizers.
They still turn into vehicles, but the vehicle look like they're made of/covered in rock. And they also can be disassembled to make weapons and armor for other figures, similarly to last years Junkions.
I really only have a couple Rock Lord's as a novelty.
Hard for me to find shows here in NY. Great vid! Should have grabbed that Flagg. I think those glasses have lead paint on them.
Already have a Flagg, but my box isn't that nice.
If you end up having two of those coloring books you should fill in one with the kiddos!
Ha! That would be fun.
I think an episode on bionic 6 would be fun, I don't know a whole lot about the line, I don't think I have ever seen them in my country
Glad you are on board if I pull the trigger.
I'd love to go to this show some day (it's near my uncle), but Sundays are just not good for me. I'd also kind of like to dabble in those 50s sci-fi toys but know nothing about it. I think I'd just like a nice wind-up robot and a laser gun to display and call it quits.
Yeah, it's. A good show.
Toy shows are a lot of fun but they can be overwhelming & it's hard to keep all the potential buys in mind when walking a big floor like that. I try not to buy the first thing that catches my eye, but sometimes it pays not to delay if it's something you've been searching for.
Yeah, I often don't buy the first things I see unless they are cheap or the top of my want list.
@@Pegwarmers I was at one a few months ago & skipped out on a carded Wolfman Leo for a very fair price. I saw it within 5 minutes of entering the show floor & so I thought I'd ponder on it a bit while I walked around. When I went back, him & the other wave 1 Universal Horror Turtles were all gone. 😭😅

Love the Longarm and Rambo.
What do you collect?
@@Pegwarmers I have a lot of the 80s/90s lines (Ghostbusters, Thundercats, TMNT, Silverhawks), but I don’t buy a lot of new pieces. I like that Dick Tracy line for the 1990 movie!
You're showing my stuff without commenting on it, which just means my stuff is making cameos, like Super Powers and Roboforce. I am going to get the penguin plane, one of the few vehicles are not Batman or Joker. I love getting the same item released through a separate line, like Ewok Village and Sherwood Forest. What I don't quite understand is having figures with paint rub and loose joints, as these are so easy to fix. I have the blue soccer net that goes with soccer Raph, btw. I have started to come to the same conclusion about prices on things. I didn't want to spend retail on McFarlane Super Powers because I got so many on clearance, but then willing to spend $60-100 on a custom. What got me was when MSP released Sinestro for $10 after I spent $20 for an unpainted 3d print. Fortunately I had yet to purchase the $20 unpainted 3d print black manta. It shows how relative and variable the prices and values can be for these things. There are so many lines I am after, that it is hard to focus and complete one, but I am evolving in my approach. A lot it relate here. Good video.
Thanks! I'm glad some of what I said resonates with people.
Hey Kevin I have been piecing collections a set at a time recently completed my wheeled warriors, near complete Visionaries only missing the dagger assault, and also been adding pieces to my vintage Thundercats. So I would go get those Bionic Six figures . I would love to see what you have so far! I was super lucky to get a complete set near perfect condition but missing accessories Bionic Six Collection from Farpoint!
Nice, I don't have any Wheeled Warriors. Farpoint with the hook up.
If you think you'll regret not getting those bionic 6 figures I would go get them!
It's hard to find some of these guys.
