She ruined the entire interview when she asked if he realized /she assumed he thought he didn't belong. He was kind to simply just snicker at the ignorance of her comment. Imagine being asked a question that implies that you don't belong in the family who raised and loved you for more than 3 decades...
I have to disagree with this comment.I entered into my adoptive family at the age of 4 or 5 and even though they raised me and loved me I always felt that I did not belong even though friends and strangers who didn't know I was adopted always commented on how much I looked like my adoptive mother.
interviewer didn't word her questions correctly. also, how could he have not remembered his biological family and wouldn't he have realized at the time "oh my mother ran away with me, gave me away and I'm now with a new family"????
He was 6 months old when she ran away with him and put him up for adoption. He wasn't adopted until he was 4. If you remember anything from whe. you were 6 months old, congrats, but almost no one remembers things from that age.
The day Steve's mother went missing Steve's father was planting trees, he waited 24 hours to report her missing, the cops didn't take it seriously at first, so they probably wouldn't notice freshly dug ground... Someone go check for her remains under those trees!!!😮
Interviewer was not clear on Carter's adoption experience.

It's like the interviewer got all her ideas of adoption and family from dramatic Lifetime movies. Very strange.

But The Problem Is We Don't If His Birth Mother Is Alive Or Dead.
At least he's got a beautiful wife.
The interviewer using "real father" in this day and age!?! *Cringy ignorance* As if his Dad was a robotic-man and biological father is the real man.
