First of all, it was smart thinking on your part to message them for help! And the person who helped from across the pond is an AMAZING human being for doing what they could to help!
I was on XBOX Live several years ago when I received a random message from an opponent in the game I was playing online telling me that he/she needed help and that they'd been kidnapped. Naturally, given how evil online gamers can be, my first thought was that this person was just trying to cause distress to strangers for their own amusement. Even still, I immediately picked up the phone and contacted Microsoft, spending the next two hours making sure this person's information was passed along to the authorities. Whether or not anything became of it, I will never know. All I know for sure is that this kind of stuff has to be taken seriously, and because of stories just like this.
Thank you to everyone commenting, truly! As tedious as it was, you never know what may be the difference. I remember seeing a woman wearing large dark glasses being dragged by her wrist out of Walmart by her husband when I was probably 13 or 14 years old, and all I could think was that this woman was in an abusive situation being dragged back into a living nightmare. At that point, there was really nothing I could do. They were walking out as we were walking in, everything was crowded and I just saw her for a fleeting moment. Even still, that feeling sits in the pit of your stomach a very long time. When those chances come to raise the alarm for someone in need, even if there's only a small chance it's for real, then it just has to be done. The alternative is just too awful... A world where people just let bad things happen because it's convenient.
@@melissasmith6762 So? You dangle your ignorance and hatred of common decency for us all to see. You are beyond pathetic and prove it by your comments. I guess because parental kidnapping is a Federal offense, the grandparents did not want him arrested so he could see his child again oneday when he gets back on his feet.
Little innocent children pay the price for being a victim. How often do we see soft sentences against perpetrators of crimes against children? It's all too common.
Exactly. They don't press charges and he has another custody hearing in November. They will waste our tax dollars having the police chase after him and look for her because they are scared for her but then they just let him go. It shouldn't be an option. He defied a court order. He should be arrested. Other people are arrested for far less.

Robert Boudreau blood doesn’t make you a decent parent. Sorry. 🤷🏼♀️ the grandparents were the better option and that’s why they won in court. Oh well.
@Robert Boudreau we have literally no idea what was going on, except that he took the kid to an unknown place while the kid was supposed to be at the grandparents. That's kidnapping and that's illegal. I don't understand how you stick up to a kidnapper, just because of your situation. That you doubt that he's dangerous okay, but he still did something illegal
Wtf?!?! You kidnap a child and yet doesn’t get arrrested?! What kind of system are we living in???? Edit: Grandparents got custody, Kid is taken, location unknown = Kidnapping. What’s so confusing people?
For some reason this happens all the time with family court cases. I understand that taking children from parents, and putting those parents in jail, can be traumatic for the kids...but so can not holding them responsible for their crimes against those kids. It’s ridiculous and heartbreakingly sad.

I’m glad that you did, you might have saved a life.
You did the right thing regardless if it was a prank or not
The world would be a much better place if we had way more people like you living on it
Thank you to everyone commenting, truly!
Better to act and it be a false alarm, than to do nothing and it be someone in real need of help
THIS is phenomenal, THANK YOU for going that one extra step, and not ignoring people in need! you rescued that baby, you beautiful person! thank you!!
