The archer models would look good with fishing line for bow strings, you can drill a hole behind the fingers of the right hand to hold it. I find the best way to get a good bright paint effect on metal minis (apart from doing a million thin layers of paint) is to get a really good white undercoat, at least two layers allowed to dry properly so there is no hint of grey. That is where the brightness comes from the colour on top should just be a tint.
Wow bow strings sounds like a great idea but not sure I'll make the time to do it ha. Yes I agree about the white undercoat but I'm stuck in my ways unfortunately - black base then layer after layer after layer... It's time consuming but I like the contrast you get in the end..
Lovely models, they’ll make a great army! I was born in the 80s as well (1981) and the marauder dwarfs were my first warhammer models. So much nostalgia! 😊
Wow, you found some old Marauder Goblin shield sprues! I've been trying to get the old Marauder Dwarf shield sprues to go with my 4th Edition Longbeards but I haven't gotten any luck so far
Nice stuff, thank you so much for sharing! While the Marauder Goblins are not quite to my taste - don't know, it might just be they are "from before my time" - but seeing these done well still gives me the grins. Well done! Looking forward to see more of this. :)
Oh nice, nice to hear! It is worth it, going into Orcs & Goblins! Sure, can be a bunch, but it is sooo fun! Just start playing smaller as the band grows. Those 500-1000p games can be cool! Or start playing an O&G Mordheim warband as you paint! I am making a kit bashed Orc Shaman as I watch this, some 40k and some WHFB Orc bitz, brian Nelson.. Gotta love that "bad moon" hat.. ;)
Never been a huge fan of Savage Orcs but I might get some of the current... I really dislike those boring 6th Ed ones, they kinde killed it for me I think.. Few poses and shitty proportios compared to Brian Nelson´s Orcs iirc? But hopefully you can make them work!
The ones I am using here are all Perry sculpts I believe. Which ones are Brian Nelson? I like the 6th ed ones, but yes they only have a few sculpts which is a shame.
Dude, I hadn't seen this! Those 80s wulfboyz and chariots are gorgeous- great to see those, which I prefer to the Middlehammer plastic wulfboyz.
The contrast with the brown and green will look great
Cheers, I’m leaning that way for sure
This was a great video. There aren’t enough oldhammer videos. 🫡

I thoroughly approve of the goblin green bases! Needs more of that classic 90's blue white gradient backgrounds though! ;)
Good stuff, thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching !

Hope you find some!
Can’t wait to see the army done for June! 😏
Haha. No promises!
@@d6wounds What you’ve got painted so far though looks great!
Very nice Simon. You make me want to dig out my old marauder and citadel OnG army!
Looks like the makings of a great project! I’m building an old school O&G army currently as well.

Amazing! Dread to think how much those blisters set you back. I purchased about 50 out of blister a few years ago and had to remortgage the house 😂
