I've pulled out my barely used halogen oven and started experimenting lately. Your videos are very informative. We have different temperature settings of course, but the principles are still the same. Thank you.

Hi Jan just recently purchased a halogen oven and I find your videos quite helpful.
Just one question, where can I purchase a large bottle of seasoning like yours.
I can only avail of very small bottles.
Thanks for your time, keep the HO dishes coming.
    Ivor

Hi Jan love your vids very helpful hints and you are always relaxed and happy when you cook and well organised.
Thank you for the tips on cooking the chicken. Can be a bit tricky getting it just right especially with the bone in.
Personally I cook my chips in my Phillips Airfryer less hassle and you can toss them and they cook to perfection especially home made chips.
Would love to see you cook chicken on the Optigrill Elite. I need some help there as it can be tricky.
Keep the great vids coming and thank you.👍😊

Surely the chips could go in earlier, the chicken has had another 20 mins! I have just got an oven and followed your video for roast pork dinner success thanks

iv stopped using my halogen oven. my new toy is the acti-fry i cook everything in there. like the halogen you have to get your timing right. i haven't seen one of those crimp cutters for yrs i used to have one! we have straight cut chips now. i hate frozen chips they all taste the same. nice vlog thanks Jan.

Try Amazon. I bought a crinkle cutter from Amazon recently. It is so sharp and cuts through easier than a knife.

Thank you so much for explaining things to a scaredy cat like me with the halogen oven.
But I would just love you to do something like a quiche, or amazing savoury pie - where all the ingredients are mixed together and then baked to make a lovely pie/slice for school and work lunches or a frittata. I am thinking the halogen would be great for this sort of thing……but maybe not. You would know better. Would also like to see an ordinary butter cake or tea cake done. Don't have the dash to do it myself. Maybe in the New Year hey ?
    Thank you again. Merry Christmas

I would suggest buying an air fryer .
You just throw the chopped potatoes in with about two teaspoons of oil. Turn on for 25 mins and bingo lovely chips with none of that faff.

    • @dereton33
      @dereton33  5 років тому

We have just done so, and I agree, much less faff.

I'm confused. If you have to cook the chips before they're fried it seems an awful lot of mucking about....75 minutes for a couple of portions of chicken and chips!!? I can cook a full roast and trimmings in that time....am I misunderstanding something?
