We bought the 2022 CR-V Hybrid eight months ago and just hit 10,000 miles on the odometer. The car consistently gets 43mpg with a mix of city and highway driving. We helped a couple people move this year and the usable space inside this car is what sold us. I looked at the Lexus NX Hybrid but it’s very small inside and feels cramped.
@@janoycresnova9156 I took over the contract from another customer that had just cancelled their purchase and I was not allowed to make any changes to the vehicle configuration. I only had to wait 60 days for delivery because of the situation.
@@gilboman That's not correct at least as far as Northern California based on the base hybrid AWD models of both. I was looking at the base highlander and the base CRV hybrid (sport) with AWD and the Highlander was a few thousand dollars more. I needed the CRV for a few reasons like less noise in the cabin, easier driving experience, close to same ground clearance, just big enough to hold my stuff on trips. But the Highlander is a great SUV, thats why I narrowed my choice down to those two fine choices.
Rav4 is even much higher than CR-V in my area. Honda dealers usually give discount off MSRP before May 2021 and they don't charge markup after that compared to Toyota.@@gilboman
$50k is going to be a tough sell. My Venza Limited was $48k and is fully loaded. Bulletproof hybrid system, incredible fuel economy with a Lexus-lite experience. If you need to save some money, the RAV-4 Hybrids are available from about $35k to $44k and are still great choices. Or, as you mentioned, a small step up gets you into the Lexus NX hybrid trims.
The problem with the Venza and RAV4 hybrid is that they’re too small. I’m 6’5 and couldn’t fit in the RAV4 hybrid. I fit perfectly in the 2023 CRV Hybrid. I would rather spend a little more money and be comfortable.
Andrea and Jack, this was so good that after watching, I feel satisfied, entertained, and educated, about the CRV Touring. My head is clear, with no doubts about where I stand in buying this trim. Your explanation of the difference between Honda and Toyota hybrid systems was easily understood. A hybrid is definitely in my near future. Thank you so much.

I was thinking like 40 - 41 MPG..and I would have been happy but i get in Tucson AZ (very little freeway driving in the city, average speed is probably lower than in most cities this size as 95% surface roads....i get 48 - 52 MPG. wow. and that is with a heavy foot. - happy and surprised.
I just got my Tucson PHEV after 1.5 years and I just love it. I drove Rav 4 and Outlander as well, I would rank Tucson first, Outlander second and Rav4 third. Tucson drives so good and silent and you feel like a luxury car.
Have to say, Canada pumps out fantastic reviewers. Now I know a little of the “motormouth”history as I used to listen to him on the radio, this was a smart platform to move to for sure. I have to say you guys are doing such high quality and of course informative videos. I find myself watching reviews because I’m a car guy but your presentations are fantastic.
I'm in Texas, DFW area, and the top Sport Touring Hybrid here is $39K. Price varies so much per region. We test drove several hybrids and picked the CRV because of the space for driver and passengers. That's a big deal for us. Oddly, the RAV 4 top trim that we drove was $41K, and was quite a bit smaller on space for people.
7.6 litres per 100 km is pretty disappointing considering the price of the vehicle. Looks great but they really should offer lower trims for the hybrid, seems like a big miss to me . The regular CRV is a much better value!
@@timbrown8686 real world experience is largely meaningless for fuel consumption. That’s why EPA ratings are all done the same way and it’s the only way to compare between cars. (Hybrid vs gas) You can’t say this gets worse econ than ratings and then say something else hits the ratings is all I’m trying to say.
Your timing on this video is impeccable, thank you! My parents just recently bought a CR-V Touring Hybrid. I've yet to try it out but I wanted to find out more about it. I have a 2022 Maverick XL Hybrid (~$28,000 CAN) and I'm getting fuel economy numbers similar to the Ford Escape Hybrid ones that you noted in the video; 5.5 L/100 km in Summer with stock tires/wheels, about 6 to 6.5 L/100 km now that I have Winter tires and temperatures are just below 0 C. The Maverick shares most of its guts with the Escape. Yes, I understand these are two different buyers we're talking about between the Maverick XL and the CR-V Touring, but those are some stellar fuel economy numbers coming from Ford. I'm just hoping that my Ford offers me the longevity that Toyota and Honda have been well known for.
Thanks for all the great reviews like this one! When I checked into the Federal and Provincial incentive programs, they all seemed to be only for plug in hybrids. Am I reading that correctly?
I wish we could see a review of both the Regular Gas CRV and the Hybrid CRV on a driving road test together and compare the actual MPG together. I drive my 2021 gas CRV everyday on a 30 mile round trip and on average I get about 35-38MPG depending on climate. It would be nice to get a idea of the true difference to see if money wise is it really worth going for Hybrid model. Great review, I learn a little bit more on the tech with your review. Thank you, MikeS
That’s what the fuel ratings are for. Same test across the board, Any other comparison doesn’t get any valuable info unless they literally drive them side by side one day, which is rare.
Alex on Autos does a more in depth analysis of the hybrid system and draws comparisons to the gas CRV and other hybrid suvs. Just note: the hybrid CRV also has more stuff than the top non hybrid(in Canada). So a true value comparison gets murky simce you can't compare costs of two otherwise identical vehicles. My take: if you can swing it, take the hybrid. I think Toyota and Hyundai/Kia have better value and a better hybrid. But even the Honda hybrid system saves gas.
@@gs98999wrong those are fake numbers in ideal conditions on a track. Real life matters. Motormouth says they did not get anything close to the mpg claimed in those tests. Much much worse and I've watched tons of reviews with almost all mentioning a huge discrepancy in the claimed vs real life numbers for CRV. Yet I often read about RAV4 hybrid getting better than claimed mileage. Which is better. Toyota getting above the already great mileage or Honda getting lower than their already lower claims.
@@sharkhark EPA tests aren’t done on a track... Car and driver is one of the most consistent testers and this is what they got. Rav4 hybrid 32mpg observed (40mpg epa combined rating) Crv hybrid 30mpg observed (37mg epa combined) Seems like these two EPA ratings are right where they should be relative to one another which is the point of them. Anyone can get any fuel econ to make a car look good or bad.
There are waiting lists here in some dealers the US. We just got ours for MSRP +1k. Its a great drive, but I would have waited 2 more years (wife really wanted it) to upgrade from our 2001 Accord if I could.
Good on you. We're picking up my father's Tucson Limited Hybrid on the 23rd. It's sort of a Christmas gift to himself after driving a base Forester for the last six years. I think you'll enjoy it. I love my Santa Fe Phev!
We’re a CR-V family with a 2010 and 2015 on our driveway and formerly owned a 1st gen 1999. Our next car will be a hybrid but the competition is stiff in this class. We will definitely be shopping other brands this go-around.
Venza limited is 49,750 and CRV touring is 48,800 in Ontario. Between both I would choose CRV due to more space and comfort. Venza is good but looks small from inside.
I just bought a 2023 Tucson Hybrid SEL w/convenience package for about 35K US. A great Hybrid SUV with tons of features packed in (including a panoramic sunroof), and I absolutely love the engine and drive-train. Interesting to see what Honda came out with, but they are charging too much for what you get. Mind you, I didn't just stroll into my dealership and pick my Hybrid SUV off the lot... I had to order it back in July and I finally got it 5 months later in December... but at least I got exactly everything I wanted (Phantom Black with black [H-Tex] leather interior).
@@ghenry85 Well I dunno about every other Hybrid out there, but Hyundai in the US offers three different trims of the Tucson Hybrid... my "SEL w/convenience" is the MEDIUM trim of the Tucson Hybrid. The three trims are the: Tucson Hybrid Blue starting at 31K Tucson Hybrid SEL starting at 34K Tucson Hybrid Limited starting at 39K So you can get a Hybrid SUV for about 31K and for the engine upgrade alone (in HP and gas savings) it's a small premium over the gas Tucson counterparts. For me personally, I think the SEL mid-trim is really the one to go with, it offers a lot more than what the Blue offers, and most of what the Limited offers for far-less than the Limited. Of course opinions are personal, and if you are really trying to save money, there's nothing wrong the Blue trim on the Hybrid Tucson.

Thanks for the review. After watching several of these, I've come to conclusion that no one vehicle does it all or checks all the boxes. 1. The 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Touring does NOT have ventilated (Cooled Seats) or fog lights. 2. The 2023 Mazda CX-50 has Wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, but does NOT have hands-free lift gate or fog lights 3. The 2023 Mazda CX-5 does NOT have Wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, remote start, hands-free lift gate or fog lights. 4. Not all trim levels of the Toyota RAV-4 have a hands-free lift gate or remote start. Only certain Trims have ventilated/cooled seats and as recent as 2020, supported ONLY Apple Carplay but NOT Android Auto. It's now 2023 & only a few upper level trims like the Premium XLE or Hybrid XSE have these features, but I'm not clear on whether one trim level has ALL the bells & whistles. Is there a mid-size SUV Goldilocks/Unicorn vehicle that has all of the following; 1. Ventilated seats. 2. WIRELESS Apple Carplay/Android Auto with a WIRELESS charger. 3. Remote start (without an app or a paid subscription). 4. Hands-free lift gate. 5. Fog lights.
It’s the same hybrid system as the accord hybrid. The motor turns on and off all the time depending on charge and load. The gas engine will direct clutch it’s single gear ratio somewhere in the 74kph range all the way through highway speed and then cycle on and off as it charges and discharges the battery. In town the engine will run as a generator when it’s needed cycling on and off. Worked great in the accord we had.
I picked the CRV Sport Hybrid for $35k here in Tampa, it was a steal. Love it so far. Getting 36 mpg (still under 1000 total miles) driving in sport mode all the time. Drove the Accord Sport Hybrid with the same engine and it felt super cheap inside.
I also went from a 16 accord sport to a 23 crv hybrid sport! also scored it exactly at msrp. I love it way more than the accord, it's such a smoother ride and way easier to drive and the inside feels super modern.
@@amna6024 1400 in the ODO and getting 39 mpg. Really love how it drives, we also have a 22 Passport and it feels like a lumbering beast compared to the CRV. The passport just has terrible handling and loose steering. We are going to trade the passport for something else.
Seems to me that Honda has caught onto what is happening at the dealerships with "market adjustments" to MSRP, especially on hybrids, and decided they want a piece of this. Unfortunately, they may have timed thier price increase very poorly as interest rates rise and people have plenty of options when it comes to more affordable electrified options. Banking on brand loyalty is an interesting strategy.
What a great video !!! Thanks to both of you !!! In Quebec they have a 7,000$ rebate on EV over the 5,000$ federal rebate. So if your not in a hurry you can get an EV at a cheaper price than a CRV Hybrid.
I was not expecting to find a review that answered all my questions, even the ones I didn't know I had (comparing with Toyota system). Subscribed. Now onto catching up on all your other hybrid reviews!
I hate sunroofs. They always end up leaking. They take away head room. They don't really give you a feeling of spaciousness. Also - they rarely get used.
@@dankdc5_ trash type 2 Honda and Toyota. Three cars with leaks. If you don't use a garage the drains get clogged from leaves and road debris. Very common problem even if you don't use the roof. Just ask any dealer.
Actually, they do not take any headroom away in my 2023 CRV. They add a little room. I'm 6'4 and the area where the sunroof is, I have more room. And my wife has a 2014 CRV and no leaks from her sunroof.
We’re in the US and bought the 2023 Hybrid Sport in Urban Gray Pearl 5 weeks ago. We love the new exterior design and the comfort and spaciousness of the interior. It’s a quiet and super smooth ride. And we’ve gotten an average of 40 mpg for both city and highway driving. I mostly drive in Econ mode and only use Sport mode to accelerate onto the highway. I think gas mileage is dependent on driving habits. Super happy with our new ride!
Agree. We have gotten 36.2 mpg and 37.7 mpg on first two tanks of our 2034 Hybrid Sport. Both were a combination of city and highway driving. Now we are driving conservatively--avoiding hard acceleration and we do drive the speed limit generally. Our town is generally flat so we're not climbing hills. I am surprised at only 31 mpg by the presenters.
That's good news of the 40mpg. May I ask what part of the country you live and how many miles you have driven? Several reviewers have reported poor mpg compared to the Rav 4.
@@dougmanck4149 I realize that you were replying to La Sarmiento, but I live in the southeast gulf region. The terrain is flat, and there is little need to run the AC--yet! I have about 1200 miles. As an update my last tank was 39.2 mpg. Again, it was split about evenly between highway and city. Another thing about the review that I think is wrong is that the engine runs all the time. It is generally not running at stops or in stop-and-go traffic like a drive-through restaurant. It also will shut off at times when driving a steady speed below about 30 mph--like residential streets. I do not know about the RAV 4.
I hope the storm doesn’t affect your Christmas much. Vancouver just announced that all flights are canceled for next 12 hours (my cousin is flying out from there). My Wife and kids are off to Panama for the next week and a half… tomorrow. And the storm will hit them in Montréal … tomorrow. Best of luck to you guys (and them). Cheers.
you are absolutely right, its way expensive here in US with market adjustments anywhere between 4-7k and a mandatory protection package costing 2k atleast and for an MSRP around 45-47k you dont get pano-roof, 360 camera , no heated rear seats and a questionable fuel efficiency which is around 32-36 MPG
Just purchased the Sport Touring Hybrid and it's making a horrible humming sound when parked and then placing it into drive and worse in reverse. Heard of this issue? Thanks.
Yes.. As for the Lexus NX 350... I would get something else than the NX 350, because there is so little room.. Even the new RX 350 is pretty uncomfortable due to less interior space and a lower roof. Unfortunately, Lexus and Toyota and even Mazda seem to be giving us less room and lower rooflines (and poor outward visibility) with every new model.
These hybrids (especially right now) cost so much that you're actually not saving any money on using less gas. Even Hyundai have raised the priced of the Tucon Hybrid to well over $50k - it's nuts
That all depends on how much driving a person does. If someone has a long commute or does long trips now and then, the money difference can be recouped easily in 1-2 years, since the difference in price is only about $1,300 not to mention saving even more money longer than that, many can save $100 a month and then their second year, they are saving completely on the cost of the hybrid. For me, it was that and the much quieter ride around town and the less trips to the gas station, especially on trips out of town.
It’s getting out of hand, regardless of what is said, it takes a long time to get your money back on that sometimes you do have to balance….is it truly worth the amount of money investing, especially if you start to meet a lot of vehicle problems that Hondas run into
You also need to consider retained value/resale/trade in and also reliability over 10 years. Not VW, not Ford, and probably not Kia/Hyundai are going to compare to Honda or Toyota.
This iteration of the Honda CR-V looks a lot more classic and gives the vibe of strong long-term resale value... though, I do not like the black wheels and that is all that is offered in the hybrid version... what's with that Honda?... at least offer chrome or polished silver wheels.
Not sure about Honda, but add 18% to those KIA & Hyundai prices, cuz that's what their dealers on average are asking over top of MSRP for the Sportage and Tucson hybrids
So, is this new CR-V Hybrid's system different in operation to that of the 2014 Accord Hybrid's system? I owned the Accord Hybrid and the engine did drive the wheels directly (through an electric clutch) above ~45mph, depending on demand. From your description it sounds like it's now only a serial hybrid system in operation at all times. With my '14 Accord Hybrid the engine would come on for a bit, then shut off, then start up again when needed. Was pretty easy to see >50mpg when taking it easy with that system.
I’ve yet to hear anyone explain why they had to put so much wasted room in the hood area and not use any of that those extra inches for the cargo area in the back where it really would’ve mattered
I love Honda but wish they would add more options like ventilated seats, 360 camera the pano sunroof, fog lights and even heads up display. They need to keep up with the competitors.
all the toyota dealers are adding huge markups on the rav4s, it's ridiculous. When I was looking for a car a few weeks ago I was already leaning towards a Honda having an accord already but still did research on other cars. I decided against a rav4 for the ridic markups. It also honestly just doesnt feel as modern on the inside as the new crv despite it having better tech. I upgraded my accord to a base crv hybrid right at msrp and loving it!
Just got the call that the 2023 Rav4 Prime XSE with tech package I ordered 15 months ago will be here the end of January. The vehicle is completely loaded and will cost me $59740 cdn. Not sure I would pay almost $50K for a CRV hybrid and think the loaded R4P is a lot more vehicle for the extra $10k and forgot to mention I'll get $8000 in rebates.
The chance of a blowout are extremely rare (and most are from bad maintenance such as bad tread, overloading, and low tire pressure) and my 2023 CRV has a tire inflator kit with a pressure gage and gets me on the road in 3 minutes if I have a flat. Plus I have AAA and Honda 24 hour roadside assistance and everywhere I go, even nearly halfway across the US I have cell phone coverage.
Since this car has both built-in navigation and wireless phone projection, which map pops up by default when you press the navigate button? Want to find out if Hyundai's explanation is true or not.
Forget "features" and think comfort, handling, performance - you know, what a vehicle does dynamically...Drove the 2023 CRV Hybrid sport and immediately ordered one...AWD in Urban Grey Pearl...MSRP with delivery 35.5K...Expensive??? For a 6'1'' driver, the CRV Hybrid lows away the Mazda CX-50 and CX-5 and all other competitors in driving position, seat comfort visibility and ride...Very quick off the line...Hate CVTs but the Honda's is like a standard transmission in that it is NOT "rubber bandy". The less expensive Sport Trim exterior looks better than the Touring and the interior cloth is really, really nice...2023 Honda Crv Hybrid is Kirk K's favorite driving hybrid, including Toyota and Lexus (he owns a 2022 Rav4 prime) so that's saying something.
Thanks to you both once again for thoroughly informing and entertaining us. Yes as loyal as I feel toward Honda, my first hybrid vehicle will not be this one given the more competitive pricing on other makes in the Cdn market. Gomenasai Honda. Well....not really.
i rarely say this on reviews, but this is a great discussion/review, well done, i am considering changing my current Accord to SUV andd i also think the CRV is quite expensive, am considering a NX rather, great review again ! thank you !
As always nice review yes this getting too expensive yet now maybe this is just me but these are looking like the same SUV with other models. Merry Christmas to you both.
I keep seeing different conflicting info about the drive system, I’ve heard that the engine is just basically a generator to charge the batteries which drive the car but I’ve also seen that the battery only drives the wheels at low speeds (below 35 I think it was) I tend to think the latter is more likely the case because otherwise why would the fuel consumption change that much between hiway and city?
Awesome review!! Covered all the points I was thinking of including passenger seat missing the extra adjustment. I have a 2019 crv touring- the hybrid is NOT worth any price justification here in Canada Ontario (at this time). --For that price plus full pop financing…….pfffffff
In my area Toyota dealers were charging about $2-$4k in markups (yes, still) plus $3-4k in B.S. add-ons. Meanwhile Honda sold me a 2023 hybrid accord for $1k under MSRP.
It's still all about fuel economy moving forward with a mix of efficient hybrid engines do you think Andrea? It's great if an affordable EV is within grasp with all the advantages that unlocks.
That price explains why there so many available on dealer lots right now. The price in the mid 50's. The fact you can’t fit a spare tire in the back because of the battery pack leaves me out as well. The spare tire is critical as a tire repair kit is useless if the tire is beyond repair.
So... I wasn't aware the Honda CRV 2024 Hybrid Sport L-Touring model does NOT give a warning of low (or out) of wiper fluid... really frustrating! 😣 how could they let this sly?!

It's 5gs more than the Rav4 Limited hybrid! And the Rav has cooled front seats. The top trim Venza(with panoramic roof) is less! Where's the value Honda? The Ford Escape is smaller and sleeker than the Rav 4 but yes, Ford has done a great job with gas milage on the Escape and Maverick hybrids. I prefer them to the Honda units for the milage and the fact that the Honda can't engage the engine to the wheels below legal highway speeds. There are hills where the extra power comes in handy. The best thing about the CRV is they are always well laid out and comfortable.
@Phillip Banes No. I should've mentioned that I also wish there was a more basic trim. I don't care about the panoramic roof(actually prefer the conventional).
Your depth of knowledge is pretty wild from your radio days, man you never met a question you didn’t have an answer to re the auto industry. Thanks for the review. Glad to see such a great team kicking ass.
Thanks Mr Lumber or Mr Jack? Very kind words!
@@Motormouth... As if proving my statement of your said “ass-kicking”, you go and back me up by taking the time to reply to me. My humble thanks. All the best on your journey now and long into the future. Cheers.
I have to say you guys are doing such high quality and of course informative videos. I find myself watching reviews because I’m a car guy but your presentations are fantastic.
Wow, thanks for the kind words
I'm in Texas, DFW area, and the top Sport Touring Hybrid here is $39K. Price varies so much per region. We test drove several hybrids and picked the CRV because of the space for driver and passengers. That's a big deal for us. Oddly, the RAV 4 top trim that we drove was $41K, and was quite a bit smaller on space for people.
They dont have rav 4 hybrids available though in the dfw area. I tried searching but nobody has it in stock.
@@Technewlogy Pat Lobb of McKinney has some.
7.6 litres per 100 km is pretty disappointing considering the price of the vehicle. Looks great but they really should offer lower trims for the hybrid, seems like a big miss to me . The regular CRV is a much better value!
That’s not what the rating is. It’s rated basically the same in the city as the rav4 hybrid around 6L/100kms
@@gs98999 Did you watch the video? They said the real world experience and rating are not even close.
@@gs98999 I agree, but that’s not the real world observed average
Move to US
Your timing on this video is impeccable, thank you!
My 3 week old 2023 CRV Hybrid gets an average of 48 to 52 MPG. - so yes worth it
@@gs98999wrong those are fake numbers in ideal conditions on a track.
Rav4 hybrid 32mpg observed (40mpg epa combined rating)
Crv hybrid 30mpg observed (37mg epa combined)
Seems like these two EPA ratings are right where they should be relative to one another which is the point of them. Anyone can get any fuel econ to make a car look good or bad.
First! And awesome video Andrea and Zack! Happy holidays!
You got it!! Happy Holidays, wishing you all the best 🥂
There are waiting lists here in some dealers the US. We just got ours for MSRP +1k. Its a great drive, but I would have waited 2 more years (wife really wanted it) to upgrade from our 2001 Accord if I could.
Great review. I will wait for my Hyundai Tucson Ultimate Hybrid. Merry Christmas to you both,
Good on you. We're picking up my father's Tucson Limited Hybrid on the 23rd. It's sort of a Christmas gift to himself after driving a base Forester for the last six years. I think you'll enjoy it. I love my Santa Fe Phev!
My Mom is loving her Tucson PHEV, it's almost been a year since she bought it. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Thank you zac for pointing out the high price. I was ready to buy until the price was revealed. The touring jumped 8k in price from las generation
Wish they offer Hybrids in the more basic trims, but they do offer value for money and real gas savings.
My condolences 🙏🏽.
@@ghenry85 Well I dunno about every other Hybrid out there, but Hyundai in the US offers three different trims of the Tucson Hybrid... my "SEL w/convenience" is the MEDIUM trim of the Tucson Hybrid.
The three trims are the:
Tucson Hybrid Blue starting at 31K
Tucson Hybrid SEL starting at 34K
Tucson Hybrid Limited starting at 39K
So you can get a Hybrid SUV for about 31K and for the engine upgrade alone (in HP and gas savings) it's a small premium over the gas Tucson counterparts.
@@tails300 I always feel sorry for the people who have no clue what they're talking about. Stuck painting everything with a wide brush and not able to tell the difference between things that matter and things completely unrelated... my condolences to your lack of ability to apply simple logic. 🙏
@@wolfshanze5980 In Canada we get the Tuscan hybrid in two trims. Both are very premium and I think start at like 37k cad(which is a good deal for the packages). We jusy need a non premium trim hybrid Tuscan up here in Canada(like the Blue). Plus I think the hybrid drivetrain is the better option period in the Tuscan).
Professional and consistent, I have been listen to your channel about Honda for 8 years
Nice, and just wondering with new 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid ... is adapt to timing belt or timing chain ?
Great review Zack and Andrea! Love your channel. I agree, this is way too expensive. Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁 🎉
Thank you very much for the kind words! Merry Christmas, wishing you a wonderful holiday season.
It is sold in Canada but does it have a ridiculous wait time. I will wait for the Mazda CX 70 and compare them . I am pretty sure it will be better value.
Thanks for the review. After watching several of these, I've come to conclusion that no one vehicle does it all or checks all the boxes.
1. The 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Touring does NOT have ventilated (Cooled Seats) or fog lights.
2. The 2023 Mazda CX-50 has Wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, but does NOT have hands-free lift gate or fog lights
Is there a mid-size SUV Goldilocks/Unicorn vehicle that has all of the following;
1. Ventilated seats.
2. WIRELESS Apple Carplay/Android Auto with a WIRELESS charger.
3. Remote start (without an app or a paid subscription).
4. Hands-free lift gate.
5. Fog lights.
what’s missing from the reviews, yours along with most, is the reliability of the models.
SOLD ! Just ordered one ! Thankfully, I am in the USA so I didn't pay insane Canadian prices.. :)
Thanks merci, great vidéo again and your dynamic together is very amazing.
I love my 2022 Toyota RAV4 XSE hybrid. Many features, like Birds Eye cam and panoramic roof. 7” screen is fine for me. I feel safe in Toyota
How much did u pay otd? After taxes
Wow that's a great rebate!
@@andreaspencer9813 since juin 30th the rebate has been decreased from 8,000$ to 7,000$.
I love this channel, you guys are voice of the consumers.
Nice work as usual, hopefully Honda listens to your excellent recommendations, some companies pay consultants for info not as good as yours!
@Motormouth would you recommend the middle time, Sport-L now or would you still recommend going with the Sport trim?
... 5.4l/100km for the Escape is incredible! WOW!!! ..motorcycles get those numbers. Great review guys!
I've had 10+cars all with sun/moonroofs and never had a leak wtf type of trash u be buying
We are getting about 40mpg too combined and i am in dallas region
I hope the storm doesn’t affect your Christmas much. Vancouver just announced that all flights are canceled for next 12 hours (my cousin is flying out from there). My Wife and kids are off to Panama for the next week and a half… tomorrow. And the storm will hit them in Montréal … tomorrow. Best of luck to you guys (and them). Cheers.
It's been an absolute mess here, more snow is on the way tomorrow night but then it gets warmer and we are into lots of rain.
I feel for you guys. Hopefully this doesn’t affect too many people’s Christmas celebrations and gatherings.
I would like to see you guys do a projected 5 year resale value. I think that might help people make a better informed decision.
Love the commentary and reviews. Was curious to know what your personal vehicles are ?
Lol the ending.
Honda’s current pricing model is way too close to their Acura brand.
you are absolutely right, its way expensive here in US with market adjustments anywhere between 4-7k and a mandatory protection package costing 2k atleast and for an MSRP around 45-47k you dont get pano-roof, 360 camera , no heated rear seats and a questionable fuel efficiency which is around 32-36 MPG
Excellent video! All the points I would want brought up were. Really respect how honest you are. Excellent comparison to other options too
Just purchased the Sport Touring Hybrid and it's making a horrible humming sound when parked and then placing it into drive and worse in reverse. Heard of this issue? Thanks.
Wow I really liked how well this video was put together.. Between comparing other makes & the pros and cons you both are awesome and thank you ! 🎉
It’s getting out of hand, regardless of what is said, it takes a long time to get your money back on that sometimes you do have to balance….is it truly worth the amount of money investing, especially if you start to meet a lot of vehicle problems that Hondas run into
0:46 May I asked, what are blinking green street lights? Thanks
Not sure about Honda, but add 18% to those KIA & Hyundai prices, cuz that's what their dealers on average are asking over top of MSRP for the Sportage and Tucson hybrids
nx350h or crv hybrid top trim, which one do you prefer?
Stiffer regulations for pedestrian collision protection??
Every inch matters
I love Honda but wish they would add more options like ventilated seats, 360 camera the pano sunroof, fog lights and even heads up display. They need to keep up with the competitors.
Ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof and 360 camera is available on the UK model and maybe some others. It differs by country.
The Nissan Rogue in Canada does not offer a hybrid yet ? It's coming since the Nissan X-Trail here in Asia Pacific comes with an e-power.
all the toyota dealers are adding huge markups on the rav4s, it's ridiculous.
Good review, no spare in the rear? What do you do when you have a flat tire?
Honda, why no spare?
The chance of a blowout are extremely rare (and most are from bad maintenance such as bad tread, overloading, and low tire pressure) and my 2023 CRV has a tire inflator kit with a pressure gage and gets me on the road in 3 minutes if I have a flat. Plus I have AAA and Honda 24 hour roadside assistance and everywhere I go, even nearly halfway across the US I have cell phone coverage.
Any idea on lead time for the CRV? RAV4 hybrid is currently around 12-13 months turnaround. For someone desperate for a car now, maybe then the CRV?
Off topic. If you have 40-70K (Canadian) what AWD sedan you recommend to drive in Canada? I need to buy one.
Since this car has both built-in navigation and wireless phone projection, which map pops up by default when you press the navigate button?
Want to find out if Hyundai's explanation is true or not.
I have a 2018 CRV and the seats are hard. Has Honda made comfortable seats yet?
How did you get one for 35K if they are 50 K?
Thanks to you both once again for thoroughly informing and entertaining us. Yes as loyal as I feel toward Honda, my first hybrid vehicle will not be this one given the more competitive pricing on other makes in the Cdn market. Gomenasai Honda. Well....not really.
Which is better in your opinion: the new CRV or the Rav4?
i rarely say this on reviews, but this is a great discussion/review, well done, i am considering changing my current Accord to SUV andd i also think the CRV is quite expensive, am considering a NX rather, great review again ! thank you !

Would you recommend the hybrid CRV if you are in the US?
Absolutely!
great review, but 31 mpg? I get that with my non-hybrid Subaru!
Front fascia looks oddly similar to Subaru ascent 2023 .
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Please do a review on ford escape hybrid 2023.
Why different for US and Canada?
That price explains why there so many available on dealer lots right now. The price in the mid 50's. The fact you can’t fit a spare tire in the back because of the battery pack leaves me out as well. The spare tire is critical as a tire repair kit is useless if the tire is beyond repair.
So... I wasn't aware the Honda CRV 2024 Hybrid Sport L-Touring model does NOT give a warning of low (or out) of wiper fluid... really frustrating! 😣 how could they let this sly?!
I ended up putting deposit for CRV EX-L Hybrid last Sunday, delivery first week of December, priced at MSRP ($48,845 CAD before taxes, Canyon River Blue Metallic). I test drove Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid SE, here in Langley BC, asking price was$48.5K CAD before taxes, total of $11K CAD over MSRP. Used 2022 RAV4 was $56.5K CAD asking price. Looking at MSRP for both Toyota and Honda, Toyota looks like cheaper option, unfortunately paper accepts anything, real life pricing is something completely different. BTW, Kia Sportage Hybrid is not far off Toyota's pricing :( .
Way overpriced while missing features that others provide. Props for calling them out. Also, Honda dealers are price gouging here in CA

@@benh5774 I just got my 2023 CRV Sport Hybrid 4 days ago and it is beautiful (red) quiet, peppy, smooth, comfortable, it is a fantastic car and I still cannot believe I can pack 6 suitcases in the back with the back seat up! That was a shocker to me.
so how far can it go without the gas engine?
My point is that you pay alot more for the same vehicle from a different company, or pay the same amout for a vehicle that has way more stuff. That was why I was animated above. Don't worry about it, I'm ussually pretty content.
I hate the Ford Escape, needs a total redesign. It’s like they went backwards with that 😂 love your reviews!
Love the look of this refresh, but the lack of features being offered by the competition is too hard to overlook.
Lack of features for the price for sure! I also believe there should be lower trim options too.
In the US the price is same as a RAV4 limited an the KIA has a major market adjustment. I think the prices are comparable.
Can it go EV only for a certain range?
I just ordered the CRV Sports for $37,800 out the door here in Chicago! Thanks for sharing!
Hinda needs to offer a digital rear view mirror too!
These vehicles are so over priced! I make over 100k a year still find these prices crazy! I'll roll in my 03 corolla and save my money!
Id rather go on vacay with the fam and rent a car if need one!
I think this model looks so much better than the last… high price for sure. They are available however so depends if you want a Korean car or are willing to pay the reliability premium for Toyota or Honda whilst waiting for Toyota for 1 year to save around 5-8%
Was considering looking into a pilot in a year or two but at the price of this I can tell it’ll be hybrid robbery lol. I’ll stick with my 2022 outlander and our trade in for now. This just shifted me to pathfinder or Highlander
