Really nice of you to do a giveaway. Also agree with what others people that it's funny to call yourself "an idiot", because you're not. Happy Holidays!
Wendell you're always helping people everywhere. It was time for you to be helped by Steve reorganizing your headquarters. Saying that you and Steve are a couple of idiots had me thinking, "well, if they're idiots, and I'm less than an idiot, what am I? Please have a great end of the year. I wish you all (Amber, Kristah, Autumn, Ryan, Wendell, the guy sitting on the radio station and the other one that appeared on 2 videos a long time ago I think) good health for next year. I hope you don't encounter more ticks, something similar happened to me. Greetings and salutations from Chiapas, México.
Hey it is the switch 2 dev board. Here is hoping we get a Nvidia Shield 2 to go along with it. Edit: Actually I would love it if I could simply install Android TV on this. At $250 it isn't all that expensive compared to the Shield TV Pro. With the added versatility of this I could easily justify just flashing this with Nvidia's version of AndroidTV.
The 10700K CPU that was used is limited to PCIe 3.0 even though the Z590 motherboard it was in supports PCIe 4.0. So, those benchmarks for the "old system" in the video were limited to PCIe 3.0. ~ Amber
@@Level1Techs I appreciate the reply Amber, but it was only in one game. Hardware Unboxed tested the 4060 ti in multiple games and noticed a bigger difference in some games over other games. The biggest difference was in Far Cry 6. I think this would be very beneficial for people who are on the a520, B450, a320, B350, and X370 platforms that support REBAR.
A personal assistant, with modules? Can it connect with my cat and tell it to stop scratching the wrong places? And adjust an auto sensing catbox that's mis performing? Call the insurance company and plead your case for coverage? The vision module looked interesting.
are there any plans on a 16 GB RAM version or more? We need a small energy efficient AND affordable LLM runner that can run at least an 13b modell with at least 20 Tokens a sec. For the HomeAssistant Hal9000 feeling 🙂
Dice can be weird. I have a pair of d20 that appear to be quantum entangled. If you roll them individually they behave normally but together one will always be high and the other low. They are both from Chessex sets which probably doesn't help.
That microsd insertion looks fun.....Wonder how it would work with movement patterns and range of motion. Have used Cascadeur to assist in cleaning up video files but if this can run real time with power efficiency I may need to adapt a new workflow.
My bet is the answer is yes and that is why they were able to drop the price on it so much. They are probably starting volume production on some of the chips and probably pushing these out as kinda the final dev/validation boards before the launch. My bet would be that the more powerful Orin AGX that is basically 2x as powerful as this thing was the initial dev kit and, again, this is basically their final dev board so that device manufacturers can make sure everything will work in the actual hardware constraints of the device.
@@chaosfenix Jetson Thor is also on the horizon. While Thor won't be competing at this price for a year or two (I would expect 2026 for a Thor Nano), that could be another reason.
If this can be used as AI Voice Assistant that you teach/program it yourself, I might just get one to make SHODAN from System Shock be a companion VAssistant. :P
I went with the Astra Machina because of my past experiences with the Jetson Platform. Both the TK1 and the Nano let me down in a big way. Same price. Better support.
Supposedly yes, but not exactly. Switch 2 GPU should have more features than the old Orin, mainly to improve dlss. Jensen is supposedly mad at Nintendo for not using newer stuff, but they would rather have cheaper soc. It was similar with first Switch, they went for tegra X1, ignoring the fact that NV had better/newer soc ready.
Not gonna enter the giveaway because I don't have a use that I can think of right now - but I love that folks are doing giveaways for more interesting non-standard parts. The more random parts that get attention the better!
What universal wireless controllers are compatible? The dishwasher needs a learning algorithm with personalized ai approval control. The AI is the supervisor.
I hate Jensen so much; what a douche, but I love you, Wendell and Steve! ❤ The GN Dice are TOP quality. They will never be used, but might be fondled from time to time.
I am not greatly knowledgeable in this space but I was under the impression that NVIDIA has not historically played well with Linux for video output. Driver issues or some such. Is this not affected by that sort of issue? Is this too simplistic to have a huge software stack which might be an issue? Is my understanding of 'traditional NVIDIA hostility to GPU output under Linux" not a thing? I am truly curious. Peaceful Skies
500 bucks just to play around with Ollama in Home Assistant was a bit rich for my blood, I was thinking picking up a used GPU and frankensteining something but for 250, now we're talking. I'll probably pick one of these up and see what I can do with one. That 25 watt thing is really nice also, what with the way energy prices are going.
No way Wendell just referred to himself and Steve as "a couple of idiots" hahah
It was also possibly a reference to Gary Gygax's appearance on Futurama. He shows up, rolls dice, and says "I'm... pleased to meet you."
@@Kvantum yeah I caught that
No joke. Idiots my ass. Building stuff that may be a bit janky sure, idiots not by a mile.
SelfIrony and knowing what you dont know is a sign of Intelligence i would say :-)

wish this has 16 gigs of ram
TOPS are on par and above with what's required for "AI PC", not too shabby.
RIP Gary Gygax. A great intro to the video

Wendell as a computer janitor: *Throws nat 20's all day*
Not the only one doing a giveaway on this. Dave Plummer is doing one too.
Really interesting stuff. I'm so tempted! Btw the plural of "die" is "dice" not the other way around 😁
Absolutely love the crossover with GN. Love both channels and hosts.
“Can do boss” in Mr hankie voice 🤣.
Wendell, will you be testing the B580 on PCIE 3.0?

I see this and I immediately think, this is something all high schools should have and provide classes on if kids are interested in learning about.
25 watts?! That's still amazing, for anything Nvidia, honestly. Usually their products now double as winter heating.
firestarter if you consider the burning 12v power ports
ARM cores A78 = relatively slow cores
Sure, but also the most efficient gpus on the market.

(P/S: You guys aren't idiots -- _I'm_ the idiot. 😆)
at 105GB/S bandwidth, wouldn't it make more sense to just wait for some lunar lake mini PCs?
this show is awesome. I love you guys. I love tech and I am not a gamer. thank you for all of your work level 1 techs
Yeah, the forum is stuck at "Loading..." good times.
...it would be a great home host to run HomeAssistant with local AI !

Will use this on my my Ebike AI controller project.
idk man, intel's new AI playground comes with either their 200series cpu or a arc gpu, and its more userfriendly and requires less techknowhow

You should get a couple of them and try to get them working together as an ai farm. See how many tokens per second you get when clustered.

Will it call home to a pc gpu for additional processing when tasks require?
Can you take a look at the 64 GB ram one for VLM's ?
5:41 ..... SO ..... NOT even an TI version ? Only super ? 😜
What about power delivery over usb-c and Poe?
This vs. Coral for Frigate NVRs?
Also would have been good to cover these TOPS vs lunar lake or AMD TOPS...I think this one is more accurate?
Hrmm might need to update the discord invite on the video summary as its reporting as out of date
Jetson Nano
nice playing with the GN dice lol
Can this be used with Home Assistant for local AI Voice Assistant with decent experience and response?
I'm pretty sure Paulus has been pressuring them to release an updated cheap Jetson since they started Year of the Voice.
A Giveaway! Yay! 🎁🤗
And now they're sold out. Thanks Wendell.
i don't need it, i don't need it...
Thanks Wendell
Thanks Steve!
I just want to see how retropi runs on it
Probably faster than Switch 2

also, why tf are there demon pics of some old lady on the desk? xD
well that sold out by the time I got home 😭
Jenson Nano
Thanks Wendel, Your better than the shame wow guy. hehe
3D printer farm compatible?

can it run crysis?
But can it run Crysis?

rolled a nat 20 how likely is that?, well if its a 20 sided die then 1in 20 so basically 5% chance . no im not autistic im just being logical.
