It is an insult to animalics to refer to today's compositions as such. If they don't have it they don't have it. There is no substitute.

I am currently in the process of sampling several of Zoologist’s concoctions but I haven’t sniffed this one yet, I have also sampled several of Filippo Sorcinelli’s compositions but not the one featured today...you probably know this, but you’re pretty damned good with perfumes and funny...how refreshing!✌️

Doesn't scare me. In vintage Antaeus and Leonard pour Homme for example it's beautiful. The best leather notes are castoreum based.
I was told that beavers should smell like lettuce, if one catches a hint of salmon tread with caution.
